I would say, who ever visits goa should definitely visit The penalty box sports bar. The hosts William & Anna are the best. First we went there on a karaoke Tuesday night, we had a great time there. The food is damn good (fish cutlet & fries 🍟 are the show Stealers) Food and drinks are so reasonably priced. We visited the place more than thrice in 2weeks. We tried every dish in the menu. Each one is delicious in its own way. We loved the pork roast, chicken crispy fillet and pork chops. Would definitely visit the place whenever I come back to goa. Lots of love to William and Anna ....!!!

A must visit place in Calangute! Just for the awesome hospitality, Delicious food and their lovely Sauce!! A must try food should be the prawns and chicken crispy with the Sauce! They got me a piece of fish cutlet at the end as a compliment and it's worth to be paid double from its own price! Thanks Willy and Anna for your lovely food and the hospitality you showed to us!! We never wanted to leave ❤️🥰 and I madly love the sauce 😋😋 not to forget Leon! The brave kid with good culture.. Not to miss Toddy and Fenny ❤️🐶🐶 A place I'll come again on my next visit!

Me and my friends who are from out of town came during first week of September to watch 2 premier league games on a weekend. We loved the local vibe and look of the place. The owners were very helpful and friendly to talk to. And Leon lifted the whole place with his energy. Food was tasty, beer was cold, and the crowd atmosphere was great. All of this ensured we had a fun evening here. We highly recommend folks to visit this place if they wish to watch sports and relax.

Small rustic place on a quiet lane. Incredibly kind and friendly owners who loved having us there. This seems to be the place to watch premier league football in North Goa, we watched an Arsenal game on a big projector. Little Leon (the owners son) also helps out and he’s is so endearing and cute! Food and drinks were very well priced, came quickly and tasted good. Only a 3 mins walk from the main road so don’t be put off by the dark road, this is well worth the detour

Had a good and wonderful food in those days we stayed in Goa, we guys love the way of serving and your hospitality. I also love your atmosphere. Keeping chersing and live the same as forever and achieve your dreams.... We had a good time with you Mr. Williams. . If we visited here again we will surely meet you.... Best place to hang out for some drinks and hookah session. They have karaoke nights on Tuesday. Hosts William and Anna are the best ❤️ We visited them 4 times. Food is top notch - fish cutlet , fries and pork sausages are must try. William is great cook and jovial guy. He also cooked us fish thali for lunch (yummy). Reasonable rates, nice chill atmosphere. Surely will visit them again when in Goa.

The place is very good to go with reasonable price. Food is just simply awesome, whenever visit to this place please try Fish Cutlets. Host have no staff, they cook and serve themselves with heart. Lots of love to host William and Anna, and the cherry on the cake is their 5 year old son. It's home away from home feeling. Spent a very good time there. I'm definitely going to visit this place, when I'll come to goa again.

This was our favourite bar when we stayed in Goa!! We came based on previous good reviews and weren’t disappointed!! The owners are the most lovely people and they have an amazing son Leon also (champion of connect 4). We felt welcomed straight away. We had some food, I had the chicken burger and my boyfriend had the beef chilli dish. Both dishes were very good. We enjoyed our time so much that we came back the next day for some more drinks and to play some more connect 4! We had such good conversation with the people there who shared some freshly caught fish with us (which was amazing)! We found the prices are also very good for the area! We will hopefully be back one day! Thank you the penalty box! :)

Best bar in Goa,always have sports on,very nice food best we’ve had here. Mixture of Indian and English food. Nice cheap beer and the owners are lovely people. Recommend to anyone in the area, watched the World Cup 2022 here and had a great time!

I had the great pleasure to meet the owner William and his son Leon at The Penalty Box. This is a great place to enjoy an ice cold beer or a cheeky gin and tonic with the locals to watch up to 3 premiere League games on a Saturday evening on 3 separate television screens. William offers a tasty and plentiful menu which is prepared in front of you all at great prices. Do try the grilled masala Fish

A very cozy place run by a hard working couple. We enjoyed watching the match - Arsenal vs United here. Lovely food. We enjoyed the beef chilly fry and french fries. A must visit in Goa for a cozy local experience. The owners are great !

The ambience is great. Food is simply amazing. Service is excellent. Everything is so reasonably priced. I tried the chicken cheese burger and I must say that I enjoyed every bite. I would recommend it to everyone. Even the fish cutlets are delicious. A taste that you will not find anywhere else. And if your a sports lover, then this is definitely the place to be. Great ambiance, amazing food and friendly folks - we were a group of 6 and wanted to watch an F1 race. The hosts are warm and super friendly. The burgers were mind-blowing. This is a chill, low-key place to spend the evening.

Boss you gotta come over to this place if u want to taste authentic Goan food this is the place to come awesome food. Nice prices genuine spices awesome awesome awesome food .... Had a great time here. Initially I just came to drink a beer and deliver a little gift from an old friend of William, but it became so much better. The hosts William, Anna and their son are so incredible. Had plenty of nice conversation with all of them. I got helpful tips what to do nearby, they organised scooter and transfer to train etc... They love what they do and you can taste it.The food is delicious and freshly prepared. I hope to come back soon :)

Wonderful ambience and a perfect place to hangout with friends to watch any sports event. Owners are very kind and respectful. Food was really amazing and you can customize it, as per the need. Goan style king fish fry, a must try. Such a calm and peaceful place. Liked it a lot.

The hosts Anna & William Fernandez totally made me feel like home when I came to watch the final F1 race of the 2021 season whilst my holiday in Goa! Food and drinks are very very reasonably priced as well. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the race on the projector screen with commentary. A must go place for sports lovers to enjoy their favorite sports on big screen. Thanks again to Anna and William!!

Lovely home-made food! The couple running this bar are very friendly and would gladly customize any dish for you. And ofcourse, a great place to watch sports. Watched IPL 2021 finals here, had a blast!

This place is situated just in a right spot in Calangute, away from the crazy hustle and bustle. It's a very comfortable, friendly & cosy place. The hosts, William, Anna & Leon are full of energy, warmth & love for everyone who visits. The food is delicious. My son loved the French fries. The fish cutlets are heavenly, they just melt in the mouth & the salad is very well prepared. We enjoyed the world cup finals out there. The atmosphere was absolutely thrilling. We will be visiting again soon. Thanks for having us over at the Penalty Box.

We were looking for a sports bar to watch the Wimbledon finals at and our Google search led us to this gem of a place.What a find! The Penalty Box, run by Anna and her husband Willy , is the perfect place for an evening of watching sports and great conversations. Both Willy and Anna and their son Leon (who is undoubtedly the star of the show!) were amazing,& very hospitable. The care and love they feel for their place was very evident in how they spoke to us and in how they soon made us feel at home very soon. Willy is the chef and every dish he gave us was brilliant! Along with our drinks, we had the fish cutlets,chonak fish fry, red ladyfish and mackerel fry & rice with fish curry. The fish cutlets were the dish of the day for us. Each dish was unique ,rich in flavour and the fish was cooked perfectly. Brilliant food! We will definitely be back!!
