A cosy place tucked away in a small lane off M G Road, I found the place thanks to Google maps. Good ambience, good hygiene, tasty traditional food, friendly staff. I had the vegetarian meal at Rs 120, there are a lot more options for those who love sea food. The fact that they serve on real plantain leaf adds to the feel :-)

This hotel provides good lunch. The varieties in the meals are great. The rate for meals is reasonable with those curries. The side dishes are mainly fish varieties. Can get chicken as well. The arrangements are nice and neatly done inside. The rates of the fishes seems to be on higher side Parking is a real problem as they don’t have any designated parking

I never suggest any one to have food from them, only though the ambience can attract. Today me and friend had Lunch with Chilly chicken parts amount 172.00, Squid roast like Rubber-bands with 172.00. Prawns fry was good amount rs 172.00. The service was very pathetic. Price is also high compare to quality and quantity.

Of the many good pace to enjoy food, this will be one of the place where u can njoy not just good Kerala style food, but also the ambience and fun of eating as much as you want on a bannana leave. Also a fresh bannana, picked by self adds to a perfect finish

One of the best sea food restaurant in trivandrum

I visited the place thinking it was still owned by Thakkaram but later realised the name and management changed. Had lunch with squid roast and prawns fry. The food was good all curries tasted like home made.

The service was very good .And it is a best place for who love sea food . verities of dishes are there.The meals was an average. For one meal it cost 120 .And for all other sea food dishes it cost more than 100 . One of the best was neyy meen .

For those who have been to the old hotels and kerala mess, would understand the ambience tried out at the place... Food is comparatively cheaper and well above average... worth the money... Their spread of daily seadfood items are generous and nominally charged... Just enough to make you full and satisfied, amd probably have a dessert elsewhere... don't get me wrong, their payasam was not bad at all... Could it improve? I would say yes... they can improvise and be one of the best in that area, where only a few have shined brightly in Trivandrum.

The route to this restaurant seem to be not much attractive but inside we will surely love simple but nice setup. I've only tried their meals and fish fries, no words it's one of the best in TVM city. Must try. The highlight is sambaram which is served on clay pot.

We had Morum Wellam/ Samabaram - Spiced fermented butter milk Travancore Mathi Curry - Sardine curry Chemmen Roast - Prawns Roast Meen Chammanthi - A spicy fish chutney Beans Thoran - stir fried beans with coconut Pachaddi - curd prep with cucumber Pappadam- the oh so awesome Kerala papad Kappa Puzzhakka - Tapioca Mash Naranga Achar - Lime picker and Payasam

Awesome food ( variety Fish 🐟 menus). Awesome atmosphere and Spacious. But parking is the trickiest part. Literally there is no parking at all.

Tried lunch with karimeen fry and kakka thoran. Both are not fresh and charge huge price. Really disappointed. Sambar was excellent. All other thodu curries are best.

Good food. Lunch is only available. Biriyani and Meals. 4 to 5 fish variety available. Good taste. Nice ambience. Notice from main road is bit difficult.

120rs for a veg meals. Which is not even worth. And quantity of parcel was so so less. I think manangment has changed and it was terrible waiting period for a parcel. Previously it was the best. Now not at all recommended.

Scorching heat inside the restaurant. They charge Rs.180/- for chicken biryani and serve 3 small pcs. At the same time you can eat abundant chicken biryani at Trivandrum hotel under the luxury of air conditioners with fabulous seating arrangements, luxurious bathroom and many waiters standing beside waiting for your call with the same rate. I would never recommend it to anyone.

Food is good... but the price is very high.. 120 for meal. One fish fry price is 140. This is very high rate in these types of hotel. Management must rearrange the price list.

Had meals with Prawns roast, cost me 300 Rs , and I think it was worth it.. If you wanna have a good meals with fish of your choice definitely recommended place to try out. The ambience gives vibes of an Old village tea shop.
