I took the Fontainhas tour with Nelson last Sunday. Nelson is a great host and has stories about each corner of this place. The tour ended with a relaxing session, we were told it was a surprise so I will not reveal it here :) This place has some really amazing stories. If you are a history geek, I would highly recommend taking this tour. Kids would enjoy this walk too. The tour started at sharp 4:30. Its usually hot at this hour hence please carry a water bottle, hats, sunscreen, etc if you are thinking of taking this tour in the next couple of weeks.

What do you do when you want a team of 40 to experience Goa differently? We heard about Make it Happen and got in touch with them on our brief - we want our company Atradius to come together as a team over new experiences, fun memories and see Goa beyond it's beaches. Make it Happen customized a team building exercise - The Amazing race at Fointanhas, the latin quarters. We cannot imagine that we explored Goa...the beautiful sights, cuisine, trivia...all while putting in our best efforts in teams to win the race. Murali and his team had impeccable planning. From the time we got in touch, they were professional and so accommodating. They handled a bunch of 40 with ease. The day was planned perfectly and everyone has so much fun with the Make it happen team. We were so impressed with the immersive lunch experience at a heritage hotel with music. The authentic Goan food was a first for many. We loved the veg options as well keeping in mind all our requirements. Murali and team ensured this fun experience was a zero waste one as well. No plastic bottles, no plastic bags....we were given cloth bags and lovely goodies. Murali and team really made it happen for us....a team bonding exercise like never before. If you want to experience Goa in it's true form....you know where to go!

Aparna was our storyteller and she was a complete vibe. Her enthusiasm and high energy kept the whole tour fun and interactive. She also helped us spot a lot of beautiful birds on the divar island tour. I booked the lunch experience which was hosted in a traditional house and hosted beautifully and with so mych warmth was a pure bliss. This tour is perfect for those who want to experience the calm and the real beauty of divar.

Fond of heritage and history? Explore a lesser known part of Goa with Make it Happen.co.in. I chose to do a Heritage Walking Tour of Chandor (Chandrapur), the erstwhile capital of the Kadamba dynasty and a once-bustling point of trade. Through a 2.5 hour tour that includes very little walking and more driving, we explored two drop dead gorgeous houses from the 15th and 16th centuries as well as a protected heritage site and a chapel that has an interesting tale attached to it. From getting a glimpse at St. Francis Xavier’s toenail to exploring a passage opened by a trap door and wondering how much money those houses LOADED with precious heirlooms cost, you’ll fall in love with history again. Our guide, Pawan was knowledgeable, great at answering questions and extremely personable which made the tour a fun way to spend a morning. If you’re visiting Goa and even if you stay here but are oblivious to what Goa holds beyond the North Goa beach strip, a tour or two with Make It Happen.co.in should be on your itinerary.

Best part of our Panjim trip. Petulla is such a wonderful storyteller and a very warm person. All the stories made us feel more connected to the Goan culture and local people. It was fantastic experience and everyone had a lot of fun.

I am fond of heritage and history and this tour served me right. Amreen is an amazing and passionate story teller. I literally got goosebumps everytime she would talk about the history of the arches, monuments, rivers, bridges and churches. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who wants to connect with the journey that Goa has gone through over the years.

The walk was a great experience. The course, starting point, sequence are well thought out and pretty much aligns with the chronology of events. Pawan was well informed about the history, and made the walk very interesting and engaging by involving my daughter and me in the entire process. This tour covers few important and beautiful churches and spots which I am pretty sure that 95% of the tourists miss out on. Definitely recommend to everyone who are looking more beyond beaches in Goa.

Saligao tour Make it happen is the go to place for tours in Goa! We had storyteller (Guide) Amreen show us around the church and Saligao village. She was incredibly informative and interesting! Amreen is a historian and nature enthusiast, so was able to explain the history of the area very well while keeping the tour fun and engaging. Seeing the De Souza house along with its history was so cool and the tea/coffee was really good! If you are visiting Goa, Make it Happen tour is a must! I can't recommend this tour enough! ( We even booked another make it happen tour for the next day because we loved it so much!) Next day tour review As a Canadian, I'd never had Fenni before visiting Goa and omg is it good! If you like food and drinks you NEED to take this tour in Goa! My Fiancee and I had so much fun and our guide Petulla was so amazing! Having Tapas with Petulla was like having food with an old friend, but with the perfect sprinkle of Goan history. Loved it ! Highly recommend Make it happen tours!

Very thoughtfully curated package. It has bit of everything, from historical facts to picturesque buildings, cafe, etc. My wife was thrilled to find so many instagrammable spots and my kid enjoyed the session too, while trying to keep pace with the adults. Overall very satisfied..

Had a great time on The Make it Happen Heritage Walk of Old Goa. Thoroughly recommend. I had Sejal who was great. Lovely storytelling and history. Really brought it to life. Learnt a lot more than if I'd just used a guidebook.

We wanted to do something more than just click pictures against colourful backdrops in Fontainhas. That’s when we found this heritage walk and thought what better way to explore this UNESCO heritage site! The walk was so informative. Hinaz was the storyteller who narrated interesting stories of Goa’s past. We learned so much about Goan history and its evolution over the years. We also had the fortune of trying some traditional Goan sweets at Panjim’s famous Confeitaria Bakery. We ended the walk with a special Goan musical treat. Make It Happen did a fab job curating this immersive, community-led experience. We thoroughly enjoyed and can’t recommend it enough to everyone.

We had a great experience on Divar Island and thanks to Aparna from Make it Happen. She was very friendly and very articulate which helped keep my whole family (parents and kids as well) engaged throughout the trip. Experiences like this help citizens of India relate and resonate with Indian past and culture. The island itself was a very beautiful one and the stories and narration of the history by Aparna made the whole experience even more intriguing. The resort at the end of the trip was so beautiful and serene and the food was also great. It's a 5/5 for Make it Happen and Aparna as well. Will plan to tour with them again next time we are in Goa. Also separately we went for the Heritage walk. It was a delightful and engaging evening learning about the rich culuture and history of Goa and Petulla our guide from Make it Happen made it very interesting. She did a great job explaining the rich heritage of goa while keeping all visitors very engaged. Trips like these make me thing that we do not need to go to any Western countries to enjoy a fun filled evening with good company and food. We have it right here in India! Will definitely solicit Make it Happens trips again when I am in Goa!

We have taken two tours with Make It Happen - Heritage Trails & Walking Tours, One was Feni & Tapas and the second one was Fontainhas Heritage Walk. Both tours were amazing and just the right time to keep people engaged and interested and provided lots of historical and cultural information. Our guide on both tours was Petulla she is an amazing guide very well knowledgeable and funny and keeps the tours really interested. Highly recommended for anyone in Goa wanting to learn and experience the Goan culture and history.

What a priceless revelation this walk was! Hidden nuggets of Goa’s past with a story teller par excellence - Petulla! A singular experience that takes you to Portugal within Goa with music, architecture and anecdotes. Thank you Petulla - you were lovely. Make it Happen - can’t wait for my next walk! Highly recommend

The good folks at Make It happen , make history and geography of Goa interesting via the stories they tell - ones which vividly articulate the cultural significance of the sights seen on their lovely walking or vehicle tours . Gourish was our host on the two trips we took - Old Goa and Divar Island. He is gracious, kind and knows Goa like back of his palm. Would heavily recommend him and Make it Happen for any experiential activities in Goa. We have booked more tours with them after our great experience in the initial two .

I went on the Fontainhas heritage walk with Raysancia and I’m so glad I did. I can’t think of a better way to spend your time in Goa. I had the best time learning about the history and architecture of the area. The little touches such as the bakery visit, the music session made the whole experience so special. The folks at Make it Happen are truly awesome, and I definitely look forward different experience with them on my next Goa trip.

The ‘heritage walk’ with Make it happen dramatically transported us back in the 19th century. I’m a lover of history but honestly without Petulla there was no chance we had known so much about Goa. We saw Goa from her eyes and it was beautiful! She is thoroughly informed, knows the story about every corner of the street and I have to mention her fabulous sense of humour and kind hospitality. The whole experience was something like- effortlessly taking a stroll with a friend!

It was one of the best decisions I made! I was visiting Goa in passing for a friends's weddings and just extended my stay at whim for a day to explore Old Goa that I had not been able to do! Just stumbled upon Make it Happen at the hostel I was staying at. Must say, that it was the best thing and I was so happy with their Walk in Fontainhas that I actually booked the other one in Old goa the very next day, even when I had to leave the same afternoon. That just tells you, how amazing they are. Both Norah and Amreen were amazing story tellers. Amreen is sooo passionate about history and such an encyclopaedia on Goa, she will just blow your mind. Recommended it to anyone visiting Goa and trying to add another lovely layer of the Goan experience. Well deserved and eagerly waiting for you to start in Delhi too!

I went for the Fontianhas Heritage walk with Make it Happen twice - once on a private tour and once in a public group. Their storytellers both times - Raysancia and Petulla were excellent and took us back in time to the history of Goa under the Portuguese. The beautiful, colorful Latin Quarters with their narrow lanes and bars in small nooks is worth a visit. The oldest bakery in Goa where we were treated to local delicacies is a must stop. The music performance by Francis was the icing on the cake. The only difference (and I consider it a significant one) between the private and public tour is that the private one takes you inside one of the houses. The owner explains the history of his home and shows many beautiful artifacts dating back to another Era. To sum up, I would say that this heritage walk is an experience to cherish and I thank "Make it happen" and it's brilliant story tellers for making it so enriching.

Pawan was amazing. We did the Divar island tour. He was patient, sweet and explained everything in detail.. Agnes hosted us with the utmost grace and warmth. The addition of the jovial and talented musician was a cherry on the cake... loved the experience. Must go if you want ro learn about the rich culture and history of the island. Will definitely open your eyes to how unique and beautiful Goa's history is. Its much more than beaches... thanks Make it Happen!

Add a different flavour to your sun-and-sand Goa holiday by adding this trip to your itinerary. We had a confident, friendly and very knowledgeable storyteller Nelson Menezes to take us through the trip, who knew all about the history of the island, and regaled us with many interesting facts and anecdotes. Special mention for the beautiful rock-cut tank at the original site of Saptakoteshwar temple. We took the evening tour and had the opportunity to be hosted by the gracious Mrs Agnes Monterio in her beautiful Indo-Portuguese home. A friend of Nelson also entertained us with her beautiful voice as she sang local songs in her melodious voice while playing the ukulele! A truly memorable experience, highly recommended!

It was a spur of the moment decision to go for the Fountainhas Heritage walk and it was absolutely worth it! It feels as if I have carried a part of Goa back with me. MIH was very prompt in sending the details and our guide Norah vaz was just amazing!!! Her annecdotes and little facts about the roosters on old Goan houses, the oyster shells used instead of window panes, etc made the tour very interesting. The stopovers at the local souvenir shop, the bakery and the art gallery made the trip even more memorable! And the surprise at the end was the icing on the cake! Norah was really patient and she made it a point to explain the history and details of all the locations we visited!! I would definitely recommend this Heritage walk to anyone who wants to understand the history of Goa. It's not just the beaches you know 😉

We did Old Goa Heritage Walk with Make it Happen and it was a very well organized tour. Our tour guide was Amreen Shaikh was very knowledgeable and we all thoroughly enjoyed her company. The tour started right on time and everything was explained to us in a very detailed manner. Its the tour of Old Goa, former capital city of the Portuguese colonial empire. Abandoned after the outbreak of a deadly epidemic in the mid 18th century it now have some of the oldest churches and monuments in the state, and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We started with visit to the Viceroy’s Arch and The Gate of the Palace of Adil Shah. Then we visited to chapel of St. Catherine (the oldest chapel in Goa), the domed Church of St. Cajetan and the famed Basilica of Bom Jesus. All of the above have their own unique architectures and interesting stories, which was very fascinating. I'm glad to have participated in the above tour as it gives you the context of what actual goa is. If you are looking beyond booze and beaches in Goa, then this is the tour you guys must opt for. Totally worth it!!!
