If you want a quiet, family friendly place to hang out and swim and site see, this is the place! We were staying in Orlando, FL May 1st '22 - May 6th '22 and wanted to see some clear blue water without all the chaos at the popular beaches. It was a little over an hour and a half drive from Orlando, but it was worth every minute! The water was crisp blue, there was a small inlet where you could swim in and didn't have to worry about crashing waves. There were several piers you could walk in to just embrace the beautiful scenery. To top it off, they had a bar and grille there with awesome food and drinks! My husband and I ordered the fried clams, bacon cheeseburger, and fish & chips. It was all good! You have to go here to appreciate the beauty of this place.

Very nice, well kept, and spacious camp sites! The bathhouse(s) were very well kept and stocked with paper etc. We only stayed one night BUT we will be back to check out all the fun things to do in the area! Bring your fishing gear, boats, etc. We also loved the little fishing museum (free to attend) on site! The very informative video is packed with great info about the areas history! Be sure to watch for the MANY turtles, dolphins and beautiful birds in the park!

Sebastian State Park is amazing. First I have to say is the Park Rangers and staff which there is also volunteer staff, are all helpful, polite, and professional. They really make the Park n Campground extra amazing. From the beach, through the monster mouth inlet, to the Indian River Lagoon, this is where you want to bring your bikini, fishing pole and your camera. What a beautiful State Park, GODS most creative art work. Dog Friendly, just follow park rules and no issues..

Incredible State Park. Great beach access and spots to fish the inlet. Nice museum on the south side. Ample parking and camping spots available.

Fish, surf, sunbath, let the kids play almost unattended. There's everything here and it's gorgeous!!!! We saw someone catch a 6 foot black tip shark and even a sea gull (both were freed eventually). You can picnic, walk and hang out in warm pool of 6" water forever on the inlet/lagoon side. Or you can watch huge crashing waves on the ocean side. In the middle...the waves almost stand still where the two meet. No wonder it's apparently good for surfing. Too windy to surf when we were there, but gorgeous! Bathrooms, picnic tables, fishing areas...two sides of the inlet to check out...what more can you ask!?

Stopped to enjoy the park, have lunch and walk our two best friends. Beautiful area. Well stocked Store and the small museum was very informative. Right across the water is the Indian River Lagoon Preserve State Park.

We didn’t know what to expect staying at this park, but we loved it! This park is so fun with a ton to do exploring the beach, the inlet, fishing, boating, and more! We enjoyed our campsite! Just remember the bug spray (biting midges are fierce) and sunscreen!!!

Beautiful state park with plenty of areas to explore. The RV camp area sits adjacent to water access making kayaking, fishing, swimming and water activities extremely easy to access. The breeze keeps even the hot days nice and manageable

Beautiful place to visit for a weekend getaway. Dog friendly. But beware of the Florida State Bird the mosquito and it's cousin the Noseeums No-see-ums are tiny flying insects that are incredibly difficult to spot. Also known as biting midges, punkies, sand flies or biting gnats, these flying insects are small enough to fit through the mesh screens of windows and doors. They are also easy to overlook when they swarm around you or land on your skin. But after they bite, you'll definitely know they were there. It would be nicer to be able to camp more if there were tighter regulations put into place. It's hard to reserve a weekend getaway when it's booked solid for a year or two. FWC Florida Wildlife, Sheriff Dept and Park Rangers patrol daily. Make sure you have your Florida Fishing License with you when fishing.

Such a beautiful spot to stop in and check out. Our beach house provided a great setup so I wouldn't spend the day here..but it's worth a visit for sure. We waded in the inlet, and the kids tried to snorkel, but it wasn't as clear as we hoped. The boardwalk is lovely and easy to access to check out some action. We saw lots of manatee, crabs, different sorts of fish, and gorgeous views.

Highly recommend this park. Went swimming at the beach then later snorkling in the safety of the Cove (see park map for location). A local manatee swam into the Cove and as it left it swam under me. The currents at the beach and inlet are STRONG so be warned!

We got a last minute reservation here and I'm glad we did! This campground offers tent and RV camping and we are tent campers so it was nice to see some spots available. If you love to fish, then this state park is for you! You can also bring your boat and launch from the park if you want to head out to sea or just fish the inlet. We didn't bring our boat this time since it was last minute, but next time we will. There was a ton of seaweed in the water during our trip, making fishing from the shore a little difficult, but you can't change mother nature so we just rolled with it. Each campsite is quite level with small pebbles, making it easy to set up your tent and not have giant rocks poking you in the back all night. You also get electric and water hookups as well as a fire ring and picnic table. You can purchase fire wood from the ranger station for $10 a bundle. We had two different campsites whole we were there, site 26 and 41 and enjoyed both of them. 26 gives you a small water view of the inlet, but is quite loud early in the morning with all the boats going out of the inlet, so if that bothers you, you may prefer 41 which was on the back row and was much quieter. We liked both spots equally. The park also offers tons of fishing piers and fishing access from the shore as well as a couple of different beach accesses. There are two portions of the park, the North side which is more for swimming and beach going and the South side which is where the camping is and seems to be geared more towards fishing. The park is also open 24 hours a day to the public. Make sure to bring your bug spray because the no-see-ums were out in force! We saw tons of amazing birds and there is a very healthy populations of rabbits and they were so cute. We even saw a bobcat one evening, but don't worry, he didn't approach. Just kind of checked us out from afar, and went about his business. They also have a really nice museum and gift shop you can check out! It was a really fun experience and we will definitely be back again!

It's an older State Park but it's well maintained. We camped in space 60 for two nights in May and the full cost was $51.50 with the senior discount - the base cost was $13 a day but they add on fees for utilities and booking the site in advance. It was reasonably private and very quiet; lots of places to walk and sights to see. Sites are generously sized. Camp hosts were friendly. Winds whipped up in the afternoons which made it impossible to have a fire so we had dinner inside our van both nights. It's free to dump your holding tanks.q

Beautiful place to swim, fish, boat, kayak, etc. The little tide pool is perfect for families with young children, calm and shallow. You may see lots of interesting wildlife - fish, wading birds, dolphins, manatees, rays, lobster, crabs.

Place is wonderful. Great fishing and tackle shop. Enjoyed myself more than I can explain. Fishing and photo opportunities are the best of the best. Parking lot floods after rains, so can be a pain.

Gorgeous! Great place for people of all ages and abilities to come enjoy the water, or go fishing on the MASSIVE pier. There's a nice little cove of shallow water with no waves or currents to worry about, a great place to absolutely lounge in warm water.

Excellent place to spend the day out camp near the water. I haven't ever seen so many sea turtles in one spot in my life. Boat ramp to launch a boat, intercoastal wade fishing is phenomenal. Kayak fishing is amazing, along with pier and jetty fishing. A beautiful lagoon to swim in for the kids and family. Perfect for a day trip.

The park has everything you want if you like the water. It's a place for swimming boating jetski Ryders. The water is calm and clear most days. There's plenty of sand bars and small islands to stop at. If you're looking for a good family fun spot this is the place to spend the hole day.

We had a beautiful site next to the water. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy the view because the noseeums and chiggers were horrible. Looked like the grass hadn’t been mowed in awhile giving the bugs a great place to live. My husband’s legs got eaten badly by the chiggers. The restaurant on site had good food at a reasonable price. We enjoyed the ocean one day and wait in the water at the inlet one day. Not sure we’ll return or not due to the bugs. Also, my poodles got lots of sand spurs. Those are fun with that tight curly hair.

Some wild critters out at the Sebastian inlet Park! We had large lizards, birds, and even some nice breaking waves, excellent visit that day! Followed by a great lunch at the New England eatery, just north.

You can't beat the ocean views it's a very beautiful beach by very nice Park

  • 5/5 Michelle P. 1 year ago on Google
Always fun to visit. Still $8 a vehicle, which for a day at the beach is pretty fair. Especially since there are now facilities at the Inlet! I swear there wasn't anything the last time I was here (probably 4 or 5 years ago). The ocean side has cleaner water, but is pretty rough. If you want a paddling pool experience, get to the right of the pier on the north side of the bridge and fill your boots!

Oh my gosh, Sebastian Inlet Park is an absolute gem! This place is like a dream come true for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts. The water is crystal clear and the sand is soft and inviting. You can swim, surf, fish, hike, and explore to your heart's content. And the best part? The park is incredibly well-maintained, so everything is clean and tidy, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day by the water or an adventure-packed weekend getaway, Sebastian Inlet Park is the perfect destination. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful scenery and views wow but very hot day in August and no shade at all anywhere. Bring umbrella if going to the beach here. Needs some trees. Lots of people fishing on the pier. See boats go by.

The state park was super nice. Our site was a bit small but there are other sites and had much more space. The hosts were super! The bathrooms were dated but clean. The only complaint was the road noise from just about any place in the campground.

I am glad we decided to drive on A1A Hwy was suggested by a local resident. We stopped and checked out the Sebastian Inlet State Park admmiss is $8. It is very clean and nice camping, swimming, fishing and picnic area. I do suggest a little more shade in the park overall is a great place to visit.

Sebastian Inlet State Park is a beautiful area and well worth the stop. It is kind of hard to find the drive back to the Park station it is just south of the Bridge. The rangers there were very helpful and provided us with information and a map of the area. It is situated between the Indian River and Atlantic. The offer Camping and there is a Fisherman's Museum which is small but offers a lot of information and history of the area. We enjoyed our ride and stroll around the park. Well worth a look see.

Loved this park! There’s a little bit of everything for everyone. Boating, fishing, swimming, tenting, restaurant with yummy snack foods, picnics. The beach area under the bridge was perfect for small children, the water was calm. The entrance fee is $8 per vehicle with 8 passengers. There’s a restaurant nearby and they have pretty good pina coladas 😎 stroller friendly as well. Will definitely come back!!

From this post the peer has been closed for 8 months. Still a great place to go. The pier was for fishermen mainly and I'm specifically talking about the one underneath the bridge. They're saying it could take quite some time to fix it cuz they have to redo the whole bridge in order to fix it... The beach area is still nice πŸ–οΈπŸŒ…πŸοΈ It's also an absolutely outstanding place to take pictures!

  • 5/5 Richard 8 months ago on Google
An absolutely beautiful location! Views from many campsites are incredible! It's August and in the 90s but sitting in shade with sea breeze is beautiful. Fishing is good too! Noseeums can be a nuisance but still a great place to get away!

Nice spot to photograph diving osprey, pelicans, terns, and gulls. We also saw black skimmers, reddish egrets, Wilson's Plovers, and all the usual suspects. But beware the noseeums and sand fleas --- they will eat you alive!
