This is a cute little mom and pop/small town restaurant. The owners take a lot of pride in their food and you can tell. This is the best Mexican food in the whole entire Charlotte area imo. Their flautas, enchiladas, tacos are phenomenal. I recommend getting the shredded beef. Homemade tamales- say what! We still haven’t tried the shrimp tacos or the fajitas yet that other reviewers have recommended. The prices are good, too. And you can get everything à la cart. Highly recommend!!!!

Being an out of towner we love coming here when visiting our family friends. This place is absolutely amazing. The owners are so sweet and accommodating. The food tastes very authentic and fresh. The prices are very reasonable. All I can say is if you're craving Mexican food you'll thank me when you pass by. The meat is so tasty, the fish tacos were delicious and the rice is absolutely AMAZING. Can't wait to come back for our next visit.

Well I have been here several times now and when Cyndi is there it is a pleasant experience. However when candy is there we are treated like second rate customers and are constantly ignored. The service is night and day to the point where I won't be back. I come there for the food and to support a local business. I didn't get a single refill the whole meal, and endless chips means 1 basket.

The atmosphere was nice, music too. Chips and salsa, great chips warm salsa, mild tastes good but the hot salsa has that nice hanging heat. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a chicken burrito to try out. I like the chicken more then the beef but I prefer chicken. This is a place I would recommend to others.

Very comfortable atmosphere with authentic Mexican recipes . The servers were the most friendliest Southern belles serving up the south-of-the-border experience . This is my new go-to lunch stop when I’m in the area

I used to come in here alot when I was working in the area and I really loved this place. I would dine in and I would order take out. Loved the steak fajitas. Very good service very nice friendly owner and staff. I really really need to go back soon. Refried beans rice chips and salsa are all very good. Good tacos. I hated when my work moved and then the pandemic hit

Wow anyone from the e Charlotte area that remembers Pedro's on Independence Blvd, will love this place. The chef I believe is the nephew of Pedro's owner (maybe 🤔) and the food took me back to the 80s by the water fountain pitching in pennies with my brother. Great prices, big portions and friendly staff! 5 out 5 for the food and thank you for bringing me back so many memories!

Our family really does love this place, the food is always good, plenty of it , the prices are very reasonable, and the staff and atmosphere are awesome. They have live music a couple of times a week and we love it.

Our favorite dish is the special nachos and get it every time! Sweet owner and workers too!

My husband and I have been eating lunch at Cactus Rose Cafe since we discovered this little gem 8 months ago. We have tried different items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The food is awesome and the service and atmosphere delightful. Their small pitcher of margaritas are yummy too. We have eaten at Mexican restaurants in Indian Trail, Monroe, Charlotte, Matthews and other surrounding areas and Cactus Rose is by far THE BEST! We drive 15 miles one way to have lunch here once a week.

Saturday lunch. Very tasty food and ample portions even from the lunch special section. Very friendly staff. Full bar but didn't have a bar drink this time. Will go back. Under $30.00 for 2 including tip.

A pleasant surprise. 1st time there and we will be back. We went back. Continued accolades. Best chips and salsa around town. A little out of the way, but worth it.

Been here a couple times now, service is always spot on, food yummy, and price is fair. Excellent on all marks! Update for September 20th 2023, the food is absolutely still fantastic. The owners instituted a slight price increase, it is worth every penny and then some. I've never had a bad meal at Cactus Rose.

My server was CANDY. My friend and I came to eat on a Thursday evening. There was virtually no one in the restaurant besides us and it still took a long time to get the menus. We also asked for the checks at the end and she said she would get them for us. We waited around for 30 minutes and we had to go up to the counter instead to pay because she never came. I shouldn’t have left a tip either. It was a one and done experience but I will not be back here again.

The food is good. Service very slow. The 91 sanitation rating is a red flag. Until it is elevated we will not return.
