This is what Castleton has needed for years! It's the perfect place to work or have coffee meetings. Such a genius idea to set up half of the shop for work and the other half for being comfy/meetings. I don't have to worry about feeling bad having a meeting in between people working on their laptops anymore! The coffee is really great, aesthetic is on point, and it feels super homey! The scones and cinnamon rolls were to die for. Definitely check it out!

Ascend is high quality all around! The espresso is by far my favorite that I’ve found in town, paired with their syrups and pastries that are all made in house. UNBELIEVABLE. Typing this is making me want to drive there right now. The staff is always kind and welcoming. This is for sure my go to place to have meetings or get work done. 11/10 would recommend.

Cool looking coffee shop however they only have like 5 types of coffee they make with only 5 different flavors. The menu was beyond minimal. I wanted caramel latte they didn't have caramel so we unfortunately left. Place looked awesome though...

I am a fan of Ascend coffee! First time visiting today. This place is serene and harmonious with excellent acoustics which allow conversations and soothing music to coexist. All bakery items are created in house and melt in your mouth with flavors that allow your tastebuds to travel through a variety of “flavor-hills and luscious valleys”. They make all of their own syrups and cater to your coffee desires with hot/cold and milk choices. They offer specials or make your own combination! We will be back!

First, a fact: local coffee joints are better than chains, ten times out of ten. Ascend Coffee is warm and cozy as soon as you enter; the staff are friendly and great with recommendations. I ordered an orange citrus scone and the seasonal latte, which was rosemary. The scone was possibly the best I've ever had-- it was dense and moist, but with a delightfully crunchy exterior. It was just sweet enough, and paired wonderfully with the latte. The latte itself was rich and savory, and I wanted it to go on forever. I'm excited to see what other flavors Ascend features as the seasons change. All in all, Ascend is the comfy coffeeshop Castleton has needed for a while-- one where you're free to bring a book, a laptop, or a friend, and sit a spell.

This place has all the elements you’re looking for in a great coffee shop! Really good quality coffee, deliciously fresh pastries, and a cozy and peaceful environment in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Castleton! The people there are kind and care about doing their job well. Definitely recommend this place!

Ascend coffee is without a doubt going to become a household name in the coffee world. This place was fantastic through and through. Some of the best coffee I’ve had, scones that weren’t dry, vibe that was perfect for small chats, working, reading or anything else you’d need a peaceful environment for. I’d highly recommend the rosemary latte. Only one I’ve ever had and I already know I’ll be coming back here to get another. Love to finally see a coffee shop in this area that isn’t a franchise! Hats off to the owner!

Was passing through and stopped by after finding the shop on Google. I had the pleasure of talking coffee with Caleb. Not much more to say than AWESOME! Great vibe, coffee, and baked treats.

Been traveling a lot and always look for a good local coffee shop to stop at during my travels. Rarely do I give a rating and even rarer do I give a 5 star rating! But this place deserved it! The delicious home baked pastries, in house created syrups, great tasting coffee, amazing customer service, and great atmosphere here is incredible! If you are in the area I highly recommend your stop and check this place out. Unfortunately, I'm leaving tonight and will be heading back east... Stopped at this coffee shop the first day I got here and came back 3 days in a row. It was perfect each time.

Had a meeting there and was really pleased with the atmosphere! Tried their seasonal latte, honey cardamom and it was FANTASTIC! Grabbed another to go! Will absolutely be going back!

This is not just your run of the mill coffee shop. Its truly just a place that feels like home. The owner is so involved in every aspect of his business and has created a gem. Every time I have stepped foot in Ascend Coffee I have been so surprised with how delicious the pastries are. Do yourself a favor and do not pass up a savory scone. All the drinks I have tried have knocked my socks off. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would 10/10 recommend.

For a new shop, this place has all the bells and whistles! Love the atmosphere. Creativity with specialty drinks is a lot of fun! Seems like a good blend of family place with the normal remote workers. Surprisingly busy on Sunday after church and also on Wednesday when I was there

I came here for the first time this past week and LOVED it. My friend and I came early and it was quiet, clean, and such a nice spot to sit and chat (or work!). I got the Cuban made with oat milk and it was so creamy and perfectly sweet (also look at how cute the mug was!) It was a bit of a drive for me, but it was worth it!

Fantastic pastries made from scratch. Delicious hot chocolate! Amazing service! Sorry I didn’t post photos of the pastries before eating them but I couldn’t wait!

We have seen for ourselves that this place is 5 star coffee café. We met some of the staff and they were surprisingly friendly good people. Coffee is excellent. Great atmosphere and energy vibe with cool sitting to hang out with your friends for coffee.

Nice little cafe! It’s in the Castleton Area. More of a grab a drink and chat/work than eat a meal type of cafe. Definitely worth checking out! Pros: -pretty fair pricing -really pretty interior -clean, single stall bathrooms -very nice, refreshing tea -friendly staff Cons: -on the smaller side; there’s still a good amount of space but lots of couches and chairs whereas I usually prefer tables to work -small menu

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this newly opened coffee shop! The combination of outstanding coffee and an inviting atmosphere left me thoroughly impressed. Every aspect of their operation, from the brewing process to the delectable treats, is meticulously done in-house, adding a unique touch to the overall experience. Although I must admit that I was slightly disappointed to discover that caramel was not among the available flavors, it was merely a minor setback in the grand scheme of things. The quality and flavor of the drink I chose more than made up for this small omission. Moreover, the warm and friendly staff created a welcoming environment that enhanced my enjoyment of the visit. All in all, my experience at this coffee shop was nothing short of exceptional. I am excited to return in the future to relish their exquisite coffee offerings and the wonderful company of the people there.

I LOVE a coffee shop that does everything in-house. While they don't roast, their syrups and pastries are made there and they did an AMAZING job with it all! Flavor combos that we had were all on point. Also bonus points for them allowing us to bring and she our own cups. Hubby got the Salted Caramel Cold Brew - it had no acidity at all - and the browned butter cookie. I got the lavender mint latte and the savory scone. The scone had the perfect amount of goat cheese to not be overwhelming. The latte was exactly what I needed on a rainy summer day. We'll be back!

Found my new spot! Ever since moving to Indianapolis, I have been looking for that coffee shop that when I go, can feel special and homey. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. The coffee was excellent. I had a plain latte and the flavor and texture was right on. Can’t wait to go back!
