Enjoyed touring through the house. It's beautiful and you can take your time to wander through. View from the back patio is beautiful as are the grounds.

The beautiful gardens and house were very interesting. The vintage kitchen and pantry are truly a piece of art. The greenhouse next door is so lush and beautiful.

Beautiful home with a rich history in Indianapolis. Oldfields, also known as Lilly Home and Gardens, is a 26-acre historic estate and home museum. The home and grounds is a prime example of the late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American country house movement. The home was given national historic landmark status in 2003.

Beautiful place and garden. The beer garden was very nice! We had a pretzel and a couple drinks. One downside was that they were sold out on a Sunday afternoon and had a fairly long wait time when all we wanted was to walk in garden which was not all that busy at all.

Phenomenal, I was there as a part of the Christmas Light walking tour. So the mansion was an added bonus.

Harvest Festival is a must! So beautiful! The entire event is so well thought out. Try to go when it's a little darker. The lights are fantastic.

First and foremost, I highly recommend visiting the Lilly house during their holiday festivities. I have included photos from the Halloween events but the house is also used for Christmas activities. It’s clever, interesting, and well-worth the money. I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Lilly House and Gardens at Newfields, and it was truly an enchanting experience. The meticulously maintained gardens were a breathtaking sight, with an array of vibrant flowers and lush greenery that created a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Walking through the garden pathways felt like stepping into a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Lilly House itself is a stunning historic gem, exuding elegance and charm. The carefully preserved interiors provide a glimpse into the past, showcasing the rich history and cultural heritage of the region. The knowledgeable staff added to the experience, offering insightful information about the house and its former residents, creating a deeper connection to the space. What truly stood out to me was the seamless blend of art, nature, and history that the Lilly House and Gardens offer. It's a perfect destination for art enthusiasts, history buffs, and nature lovers alike. Whether you're exploring the beautifully curated art collections within the house or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll through the gardens, the Lilly House and Gardens at Newfields is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression of beauty and tranquility.

The property and greenhouse of this estate are beautiful. I recommend making sure you have time to see the greenhouse because it is jam packed with plants and tons of orchids. I have never seen this many orchids in my life. I believe the greenhouse itself is from the 1930s, so also cool just to see the building itself.

The lilly house was really decorated nice this year. The inside is so interesting to see the difference of the house through the years. I love the neat decorations made of simple things like straws

Really disappointed how much money it costs to get in here now. I remember when it was an accessible space for the entire community. My favorite way to spend my evenings when I lived in the area was to park by the greenhouse and hop down to the canal for a run. I'd finish my workout with a cool down in the garden and a stroll around the green house.

So beautiful. You need to get tickets to get in, even if you're a member. The tickets are free if your a member. Such a beautiful collection of flowers, bushes, trees, shrubs, all that good stuff. There's even a greenhouse with Orchids. A beautiful spot for engagement photos, wedding parties (you can rent it out), a warm day chill. Plus you got the option of the art museum right there.

So beautiful. The grounds are pristine, the view amazing. It is a quick walk-thru, but if you're at the Museum of Art, you have to walk over and go through the house and then the trail to the lake.

The garage is warm, almost unbearable, but the rest of the place is phenomenal.

Beautiful house and gardens near the art museum. When touring the house, listen to the audio on their website, since there is no guide

Nicely exhibited on the first floor and the basement. If you are not gonna decorate anything on the second floor, maybe it is better if you just close it for the public.

The house was nicely decorated for the holidays. Not sure how interesting they keep it the other times of year.

Almost more enjoyable than the museum itself. Self guided and with great gardens

The Lilly house is beautiful. However recently visited for the holiday lights. Felt like they were really phoning it in. They wrapped a few trees, and not a whole lot more. Display seemed to be about half the size of their Halloween display. Also lacked the sophistication I would expect from a legitimate art museum.

I enjoy every visit. I go most times I go to visit my folks. Really love exploring the gardens and the blast from the past that is the Lilly house.
