Extremely Disappointing Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Super 8 Indianapolis South Side, and I must say that it was far from satisfactory. From the moment I arrived, the level of service and overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. Upon check-in, I encountered a staff member who was rude and unhelpful. She seemed more focused on finishing her lunch than assisting me with the booking process, which made me feel like a second-class citizen. The condition of the room was unacceptable. To my dismay, the door to the room had been left ajar, and the pillows were not only lacking pillowcases but also stained and dirty. The bedding displayed burn marks, indicating a lack of attention to detail in housekeeping. Furthermore, the absence of a fire smoke alarm on the wall raised concerns about safety. Additionally, there was a noticeable hole under the sink, providing a view into the adjacent room. Throughout the night, loud screaming from other guests disturbed my sleep. The general maintenance of the hotel was also lacking. The floors were greasy and appeared unclean, while the outdated lighting created a dim and uninviting atmosphere. To my surprise, there was no phone in the room to contact the front desk for any inquiries or concerns. When I brought these issues to the attention of the staff, I was met with indifference and was told that there was nothing that could be done to address the problems. Frustrated, I contacted guest services to file a complaint, understanding that the resolution process could be time-consuming. To add to my disappointment, during check-out, I had to endure a 15-minute wait, despite being initially informed that it would only take two minutes, as they needed to inspect the already damaged room for new issues. In summary, I cannot recommend the Super 8 Indianapolis South Side based on my experience. The hotel's overall lack of attention to customer service, cleanliness, and safety standards is deeply concerning. As a guest, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and care. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment for your accommodation needs.

This is the worst hotel/motel that l have ever stayed. Unprofessional set of people managing a property like that. Stayed in this hotel couple of nights bcoz l had a stressful day from work and needed a place to cool off. Impression from the reception was zero. Everywhere smells so routine. I was giving a room that’s not cleaned even the bed still messed up. I came back to reception to inform the guy that the room he gave me was not clean. Room, Bathroom, hallways, microwave all smells. No cleaning services available, when you ask they said you should request for your room to be cleaned. I have a lady come knocking on my door in the morning to remind me that am suppose to check out in the afternoon and I was wondering what’s the telephone in the room meant for. Am still wondering how l was able to stay couple of days in that place that’s not fit to be called a hotel. I will never visit again or recommend this hotel to anyone. However, I later checked out and moved to Comfort hotel which is a mile away. Comfort hotel gave me the feeling of what hospitality feels like.

My experience at the purportedly "super" Super 8 hotel can only be described as a deplorable descent into squalor. This establishment, masquerading as a haven for travelers, presented itself as a wretched monument to neglect and dilapidation. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was confronted with an alarming revelation—mold, the insidious scourge of decrepitude, had laid claim to the ceilings. Its festering presence, reminiscent of malevolent tendrils, cast a pall of foul decay over the room. The noxious aroma of mold permeated the air, bearing witness to the hotel's utter abandonment of maintenance and cleanliness. The pervasive nature of this mold was not confined to a mere corner; it seemed to have infiltrated every inch of the space, conspiring to ruin any semblance of a peaceful retreat. The carpets, once a plush expanse of opulence, had deteriorated into a wretched, threadbare wasteland. Stains of undetermined origin sprawled wantonly across the floor, forming an abstract mosaic of dirt and neglect. It was unmistakably clear that a thorough cleaning of these carpets had become a distant memory, rendering them a wretched and unsanitary relic of neglect. When my gaze descended to the baseboards, I was met with yet another affront to sensibility. These once-proud features, now reduced to pitiful squalor, bore the scars of inexcusable disregard. Coated in layers of grime and forsaken by any semblance of maintenance, they stood as a testament to the hotel's apathy. The cumulative effect of these deplorable conditions was nothing short of an assault on the senses. The mold-infested ceilings, the sordid carpets, and the forsaken baseboards coalesced into a triad of desolation that was impossible to ignore. It was a cruel irony that these pitiable conditions persisted despite the hotel's ostentatious claims of grandeur. Beyond the physical discomfort, the psychological toll of enduring such unsanitary surroundings cannot be overstated. It was an affront to one's dignity, a constant reminder that the most basic standards of cleanliness and upkeep had been forsaken. In summation, the Super 8 hotel, marred by mold-riddled ceilings, filthy carpets, and forsaken baseboards, was a lamentable disgrace to the realm of hospitality. It embodied the antithesis of a welcoming and comfortable stay—a blight on the very concept of a hotel experience. My counsel is unequivocal: shun this establishment, for it epitomizes the abandonment of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality.

Do not stay at this hotel! Worst hotel experience ever! Dirty rooms, stained sheets/dirty beds. Advertised as serving continental breakfast but no breakfast served. $100 deposit per room required in addition to room fee. Only refunded $95 and when I inquired why I was told that is the transaction fee for the credit card. Would not take any responsibility for the misrepresentation. Definitely should have checked reviews before booking!

We came to the hotel Thursday night around 12 or 1 in the morning. And the and made us leave at 11 AM. The next Thursday, and we was a little bit late getting out so they charged us for that. They tried to charge us for towels. That we didn't even get They tried to say that we took them. The cleaning lady had to explain. We gave them $600 and got to stay for 4 nights. They came at 10 o'clock in the morning and rushed us to get out of there for absolutely no reason because they still haven't cleaned it. We're sitting down here with all of our stuff waiting to figure something out. We asked them if we can give them our deposit and the money that my husband made for work, he was just waiting to get paid and they said no They can't wait 2 hours for him to get paid. They Advertise free breakfast and they don't have free breakfast or coffee. One of the guys here is very rude. Between the towels and the late fee they charged us $40 and we didn't get anymore towels the cleaning lady had to explain to him that the other cleaning lady doesn't put everything in the rooms like she's suppose to. $550 the first week and $450 after that. Only one ice tray works. Definitely not the best hotel

Sheets and comforter had marker and burn holes all over it. Only 2 pillows that were as flat as paper on the bed. Chunks out of the wall air conditioning looked like it was about to fall off. tried to get a refund and leave but apparently they don’t do refunds after 15 min of being checked in. Went to checkout the next day and they had someone go up to the room to look at it and us just stand and wait until they got back. I’ve never been to a hotel where they do that so that was ridiculous. All in all don’t come here! :)

Bed frame was broken so the bed sagged to one side. Room was musty and the whole motel smelled like cigarette smoke. Outlets were exposed so be careful if you have kids. Base cover on wall was peeling off and you could see the walla frame. Bedding was just a sheet two pillows and a curtain for a blanket. Would not recommend a stay there.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an affordable hotel located in a peaceful area, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The standout feature was the friendly customer service, which made me feel truly welcomed throughout my stay. The hotel offered great value for my dollar, especially when I was simply in need of a comfortable place to sleep and shower. The rooms were clean and provided the essential amenities I required. The bed was comfortable, allowing me to rest peacefully after a long day of exploring the area. The peaceful atmosphere of the hotel's surroundings added to the overall tranquility of my stay. It was a refreshing change from the bustling city life, providing a serene environment where I could unwind and relax. Furthermore, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. They were attentive, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to help made my experience truly delightful. Overall, if you're seeking an affordable hotel in a peaceful area, this establishment is an excellent choice. With its friendly customer service, comfortable rooms, and overall value for your dollar, it offers everything you need for a restful night's sleep and a refreshing shower.

We stayed there because my daughter had surgery at 5:30 in the morning and it was within 15 minutes of the hospital, so a vacation was good in that aspect. The rooms were decent, refrigerator microwave TV, but it didn't smell clean like hotels are supposed to. The corridors were in a bad need of vacuuming and the parking lot even had trash that needed to be picked up. Definitely won't be going back we'll pay extra and go somewhere else

After checking in we walked to the room, me and my friend. When we open the door to the room, we noticed an unpleasant smell. The rugs was ruined, the sheets had stains and burnt holes from smoking. They had a phone that wasn’t plugged in and had missing buttons. Going to the bathroom, in the tub was a big hole. I was scared to shower because I was afraid of bug bites coming from the tub. When we checked out l, hotel staff tried to accuse us of damaging the tub, I had to put up a show so that they know I didn’t do it. He asked another staff about the hole in tub and the staff said it was there. They got angry with me because I was sticking up for myself as they blamed me for the damages. Was a very unpleasant stay overall. I stopped by because I was on the road and wa so tired I needed a bed to sleep in and a place to shower.

I booked this hotel through my Wyndham Rewards app to use points and also because as a Platinum member, I receive free early check in. Arrived at the hotel to find out that due to management policy, they do not honor free early checkin for Wyndham Rewards members. Called Wyndham Rewards customer service and since it is the hotel’s management policy there is nothing that they could do for me. If you are choosing this hotel to receive Wyndham rewards benefits….DON’T. They do not honor the benefits. Also there is a $100 damage deposit. Not a problem until you try to pay it with a credit/debit card. They coerce you into paying cash by telling you the card company will put a hold for twice the deposit ($200). And it could take up to a week to get the hold released. Have to do a walk through with front desk person to get deposit back. First room already had lots of damage and had a horrible smell. Second room smelled better but the shower curtain was missing. Had to request a shower curtain to make sure we didn’t get charged for water damage. Almost the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

I checked for bed bugs like I do in every hotel and the mattress was stained. The bathroom sink wouldn't drained and the water was hard. What brought me here today is an email offering me coupons for wing stop if I left a review. You couldn't bribe your way into a good review of you tried. Do better...service was good for what they were left to work with so I'm not. I'm not blaming the employees.

I just needed a place to stay for the night and I booked online without checking out the place first. I would have never rented here had I seen it first. It was dirty the lobby was filthy. The outside had trash all around it and spillmarks from old sodas. There was a lot of transient type people there. I could tell some people lived there. The access off the freeway and the side roads it was terrible because of construction. In the morning it was only 10:30 and the front desk guy was trying to get into my door even though it was locked. And I said," Hey I'm still in here!" and he said, "Check out at 11:00." and I said, "Yeah it's not 11:00. I'll be out by checkout time." He replied, "Well we have a lot of reservations and we need to get started on cleaning the rooms." Seriously! I paid for the room. I don't care about the later reservations. Don't try to break into my room and kick me out before my time. Super rude. I highly recommend you move along and find another place to rent. It was $85 of wasted money. Never again. Also the room where you get ice was disgusting and there was mold all over the ice dispenser. It looks like it never been cleaned before and there were piles of junk all over the floor too.

Worst stay I have ever had. It was so bad I cried and ended up staying in the car part of the night. We first were charged $50 to check in “early” as I was told we would be unable to check in when the big10 game was over as it would be too late. The smell was sickening, dirty is not even enough to describe the inside. Holes in walls, electrical all unplugged and ran conduit up the walls, very unsafe. Duct tape on things, yellow stains on pillows and no blankets. Had to use a towel to Cover up. Mold under ice machine tray, unmatched floors that were so dirty. You could tell the rooms were not cleaned as the phone had so much nasty stuff on it, the table had a layer of dust and the floors were so dirty. It was hard to even breathe from the musty, dirty smell. Front desk would just say “I know so sorry” to everything. Burn marks all over vanity and desks. Just down right disgusting! This place should be shut down!

This place is a total scam; they will charge you for a $100 deposit but are actually charging you $105 and trying to pass it off as a "service fee" for running a card- I run cards for a living and they are lying through their scamming green teeth. I might be less annoyed if the room hadn't been grossly unclean- soap wrapper in the shower drain, sticky carpet, and my favorite, the air conditioning making the whole room damp. Also the three men at the front desk made it very clear that I was beneath their notice and inconveniencing them.

Easy to get to and not too far from downtown. (That's the good) If ya can't get a room downtown, and you wife or friends or boss or anyone else isn't with you, I'd stay again. Don't plan on hot coffee or breakfast there, but there are other places around. Hot water was hard to come by the first 2 nights, but last day of 3 there was enough hot water.

If I could rate zero stars, I would. The man behind the desk did a great job with what was left for him to fix, and it didn't get fixed. I reserved a handicap accessible room and arrived a few hours later. After checking in, I was told to pack everything back into my car because the accessible room is so far away, I had to find a spot (none marked ♿️). I use the key and open the door. It was occupied. I call the front desk to tell him about it, he had to finish taking care of other guests. He walked the way back to the far door, opened the other accessible room which was unoccupied but had not been taken care of by housekeeping. Both beds slept in. One set of towels were all used and the complimentary toiletries were used or taken. He said he would take care of it before he left, but did not I am going to call the fest in the morning to bring what was missing and demand they refund the 100 dollar deposit immediately. Photos exactly how I found it except for my personal stool placed in the tub.

This is by the far THE NASTIEST hotel room I've EVER stayed in & I've stayed in a lot of hotel rooms. There were electrical wires just hanging off the ac & the ac was falling off the wall. There were stains & burn holes in the comforter. I felt so icky even in the hotel room. Also, when we first walked in, the smoke alarm was beeping & after sitting in the room for 30 minutes after notifying the front desk, no one came.. Ended up paying to stay in a different hotel room. Also, the front desk workers barely spoke any English & were speaking their own language in front of us straight, ignoring that we were even there.. DON'T STAY AT THIS SUPER 8!! If 0 star was an option, I would give them that!

I booked a room here because my greyhound bus was delayed. When I get to the Hotel the lobby looks ok. I get my hotel room which is all the way at end of the hallway. The carpet in the hallway is dirty I get to my room I see a cockroach on the wall there was no rug in the room there were holes in the walls the outlet behind the bed is a fire and safety hazard. I couldn’t turn on any of the lamps. Someone knocked on my door early in the morning making sure I was checking out on time.

Avoid this place at any cost. No internet. No breakfast, despite falsely advertising it. Filthy, smoke filled air in corridor. They keep the windows open for "circulation". The heating in room wasn't working, it emits burning smell when switched on. I need my money back, which the owner refused.

My overall experience was great. I got a good night's sleep in a clean room. My only one minor complaint is that the sink water pressure was low, really no biggie. I would definitely stay here again.

I was actually very impressed w the rooms. I could actually give this place all five stars until you get there and they throw a whopping hundred dollar cash deposit or card however you have to have the money they charge you then refund you for damages other than that because you know you go through the app Hopper to get good deals however nowhere mentions 50 to $100 cash or do you lose your room because it's a no refund so I'm very disappointed in that part however you know I it was an overall nice clean room and we enjoyed ourselves and the front desk guy in the morning it was so chipper we give you two thumbs up manager guy

Travel to Indy very frequently was looking for a reasonably priced place with a clean bed and shower. This place was the pits - no TV they tried 3 different TVs before they figured out NONE of the wall outlets worked. Only lights were the ceiling lights. The ceiling fan in the bathroom was dangling, the air conditioner was hot-wired to make it functional, the faucet in the sink was loose and sprayed all over, the window had recently been replaced and was installed horribly - gaps to the outside which is probably why I ended up with a dozen or so spider bites in my 2 night stay. Never again, this place should be condemned. And by the way, I laughed at the guy who slept in the bed of his pick up truck while I was there, guess the joke was ultimately on me.

Made online reservations after 3pm. Got there and there was $100 deposit. No biggie. They will only use card for it tho and there is a $5 fee to use card and it is non refundable! There is a paper in the window stating if you smoke, vape, or in tiny letters below it states if you stain a towel your card will be charged $300. Tried to cancel, but according to them after 3 you can't. I had to have my bank put a stop payment on the charge. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

Just off US 70, this place was a pleasant surprise for a "no frills" motel/ hotel. The room was clean and comfortable temperature-wise. The basics were provided and a decent breakfast was served in the morning. Nothing fancy --scrambled eggs, sausages, toaster Waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices and coffee-- but filling and tasty. Nice, friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again.

DUMP- Run Down. Stains on everything (sheets, pillows, cases, shower curtains, towels , rags) one pillow didn't have a case on it and was stained. Cigarette Holes in another case and the sheets. Found a few hairs. Barely warm shower was traveling and needed a quick cheaper spot for 4 hours of rest. In the am paid full price is fine. But 80$ For this place is hilarious. Im surprised they don't take old coke cans for payment. But hey if you dgaf about cleanliness, sanitation and comfort this is the spot🤣🤣 On Another note the TV was newish🤣🙏

Found bed bugs In the sheets and an extremely dirty room floor in both rooms we were given. No soap, a very putrid odor and a filthy tub. Absolutely should've read into the reviews before booking here, we were on a budget but nothing is worth the absolute disgust that we witnessed. They also refused our refund after we literally could not stay due to the condition of both rooms, we left the same night

My family and I recently stayed at this Super 8 location and I can honestly say that it will not be repeated. Pros: This Wyndham Super 8 location allows early check in if you pay for a small fee. Great if you are traveling and need to check into a motel in the late evening/early morning. Also, big plus, there’s no carpeting in the rooms. Floor in the room was really clean and the bed sheets were also very clean. Cons: Jesus, where do I start? 1. The front desk/night auditor (at least the one we had) will not allow you to use your Wyndham account to get the better price. 2. He will also not allow your stay to count into your Wyndham rewards. We were forced to call reservations through the our cellphone in his presence in order to get the better price and the reward points. Thankfully the person who helped us over the phone was much better. 3. The hallway smells strongly of Marijuana. Usually I wouldn’t care, I mean live and let live right? Except the hallway smelled so intense that I started coughing due to my asthma. 4. It wasn’t just the hallway, our private bathroom also smelled strongly of pot through the ceiling vent. 5. The top decorative cover in the bed had holes in it that could have been caused by either a too hot dryer or maybe by cigarettes. They were the right size and shape for that. All in all I would only use this brand again if I needed to use the admittedly great early check in. Otherwise I’d just pay the extra thirty dollars and stay at a Hilton property. They allow me to take advantage of my rewards account in a much satisfactory manner and have rarely had issue with their personnel.

Quite possibly the best shower (both temperature and water pressure) I’ve ever taken in a hotel. Friendly staff. Clean room/bathroom. Only negative (and it’s a BIG one) was the smell … I expected a nonsmoking hotel to be free of smoke smell. The hallways were strongly smoke scented and there were several places where it was obviously not cigarette smoke.

I work very close to this hotel so it was super convenient. Everyone was nice and available. The hotel staff double booked my room so we had someone try to walk in our room which was super weird. Pricing was great. The ad on price line said there was breakfast but they didn't serve any breakfast.

When I was leaving the front desk guy(the owners son ) told me to get out and if I didn't have a room there I couldn't be there. The crazy part is I was visiting my family who stays there. He was very rude. Today 12-27 I was visiting a friend and once again the owners son was rude he said again they don't have visitors at his business..... he needs to be respectful to people. If his customers are staying and paying the rent they should be able to have guests. They have 1 person who works there that is respectful. Jeremy keep up the good work they need more people like you to work there. Need to worry about cleaning the place up and not be so rum down. This place is awful!!! It don't even get a 1 in my rating and the only reason it gets a rating is for Jeremy!!!
