Purrrrfectly Awesome. Incredible business that helps kitties and lets you hang out with them while enjoying coffee and treats. You make a reservation and then spend some quality time with some of the most loving kitty cats in Indianapolis. You go into their environment and these little babies come up and interact with you. This is a cool cat cafe and we stop by every time we are in Indianapolis.

I LOVE IT!!! As a cat lover and pastry lover, 9 Lives Cat Cafe checks all the boxes. They have 17 cats, 16 of them you can adopt. My personal favorite was Meone (the one looking out the window). If you want a place to chill with feline friends, definitely visit. 1,000,000/10 would visit again.

Very fun and interesting experience. The cats are separated from the Cafe so it is sanitary. I am happy to support a business that finds homes for cats.

Kelly is super friendly and helpful! We had such a great experience. My daughter was looking for a kitten to adopt. I saw an adult cat (4yrs) advertised so we went to see her at Nine Lives Cat Café. She didn’t want to come out and show us who she is though. So we talked with Kelly who described her personality a bit and she also called the foster mom to have us speak with her. My daughter decided to listen to Kelly. We were NOT disappointed! We took her home the following day and she just blossomed. She is a curious little lovebug! Total lap kitty who has attached to my daughter completely. We are totally in love with this little sweetheart! Worth paying the cover fee to spend time with all the kitties!

Clean, creative place with a chill hop vibe and cuddly cats! I enjoyed my coconut carmel iced latte and my girls enjoyed their hot cocoa. Wonderful place to support and spend some free time! We will come again!

My friend and I had the best time at Nine Lives! Only $11/person to hang out with cats for an hour, it was totally worth the price! Honestly a steal. Next time I come in, I want to do more than an hour because time flew by in the cat room. I also had a hot tea and cookie from the cafe, and both were delicious. Highly recommend going! I'll definitely be back, and maybe to adopt a kitten this time :)

If you love coffee, desserts and cats, this is the place for you. It was hot today and I had coffee earlier so I got a strawberry lemonade, it was refreshing! This was my 2 sons and mine’s 1st visit and didn’t know that they had certain times that kids could and couldn’t go in to visit with the cats. Also didn’t know that we had to have a reservation to visit the cats. They don’t have much room for parking, but we parked across the street at Goodwill.

The BEST cat café/café period! I relocated from Indiana to California and I still make sure to include Nine Lives in any trips I make to the midwest. It's one of my favorite places in the city for so many reasons! Not only are the cats and kittens adorable and adoptable, the café menu is incredible. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian food and baked treat options and their warm and iced drinks are better than any chain or mom & pop spot I've experienced. The entrance is lined with gorgeous cat themed artwork from local artist that are available for purchase. The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, and informative. They go above and beyond to make your visit safe and enjoyable - you can really tell how much they love the cats and the work that they do! If you're looking to adopt a kitty in the greater Indianapolis area, or you're just looking to add some joy to your week, make your reservation, head to Fountain Square, and order a cat sized dirty chai with oat milk and spiced brown sugar syrup. I hope it'll become one of your favorite places, too!

It was . . . fine. Pretty much what you should expect when a group of people schedule (and pay for) time to be in the presence of cats. There were a few kittens and a few adult cats. It was a little weird to be watched by other people who didn't pay to play . . . and I'm pretty sure I could have just stopped in at the humane society and sat in the cat room for free . . . but . . . the 13 year old wanted to go, so we went. On the good side, the staff were friendly and the place didn't stink (my initial fear). Very clean. Not bad drinks. Cats. Oh - and a little hard to find. I never did see a sign outside. But it's on the corner. I probably wouldn't go again, but I wouldn't suggest not going.

This is the cutest place! It is clean, the cat area is kept completely separate from the coffee shop and measures are taken to make sure there is no cross contamination. Their chair latte was fantastic! We didn’t get to visit with the kitties this time because they were already full for that time slot when we stopped by. I highly recommend getting a reservation on their website if you are wanting to play with the kitties. But you still get to see them play and interact with each other through the huge windows even if you can’t go in. They also have tons of cat-themed items for sale! So much one-of-a-kind items! Love it all❤️

It was nice to watch the cats as I drank a great cup of coffee the cats are in a separate location and you don't smell their area either when you come in. An appointment is needed if you want to physically touch the cats. You can also adopt the cats.

Owners absolutely ADORE the cats and make sure they are well take care of and loved by staff and guests alike. The owner also interacts with guests and is AMAZING when kids come in. She makes sure everyone feels welcome while also making sure the cats are comfortable and safe. Would 100% recommend for anyone who loves cats and is looking to adopt one!

This was undoubtedly the cutest little cat café! All of the staff was so friendly too. As soon as you walk in they greet you and ask if you’d like to get a coffee before seeing the cats. One of the girls then takes you into the cat area while you wait for your coffee to be made (which they bring right to you!) They had their resident cats which seemed to be the most chill and then their crazy little kittens running around playing and being curious. It was a good time and would definitely recommend if you want a coffee and some kitty love =)

This cafe is wonderful. The staff is always friendly and service is quick. Very clean and mo odor. Reservations and payment are required to access the cat room but there is a room outside that you can see the cats from. Sometimes I go just to grab a coffee and sit to watch them play. Lots of cute cat merchandise also.

If you're a cat lover like me and my daughter, then you will love this café. I took my daughter for a spring break adventure and she loved every minute of it. The cats are so cute and the food was very lovely.

We stopped in on a Sunday morning to have some coffee with cats and kittens. You can book a 30-min or 60-min time slot online for a small fee per person to go into the cat room. Most, not all, of the cats are up for adoption! They also have coffee and tea drinks with a selection of baked goods that you can order. I had a seasonal sakura drink with boba and and brownie; both were good. Also, the interior is full of cat artwork, jewelry and other paraphernalia for sale. It's quite the eclectic collection and a purrfect place to shop for yourself or a fellow cat lover. The cats were so sweet! We played with them and got to pet a lot of them. We had one cat trying to sneak into the kitten room, which was funny😸 I had to catch him. No problems and a great time!

Incredible little-known spot in Fountain Square to enjoy time with cats. They offer a wide selection of teas, coffees, chai, and tea lattes, plus a few baked goods, then an opportunity to enjoy them in the cat rooms for a small fee. The owner/operator is super passionate about caring for the cats, and it's clear in everything she does. They work with several local cat rescues to bring in cats and adopt them out, and have facilitated 1,700+ adoptions to date. The cat rooms are very clean and don't have any bad smells. Kittens are unpredictable, but they're accompanied by several resident adult cats who are friendly and welcoming. There's also a ton of locally-crafted cat- and coffee- themed art available.

I had a wonderful time at the Nine Lives Cat Café! I’m glad I booked an hour because the time goes by fast! The staff were all warm & friendly & professional. My strawberry milk tea with cherry blossom boba was delicious. Of course, the cats & kittens were adorable! And it’s all for a great cause!

Have visited at least 10 times this year (‘22) and always get a seasonal drink with my visit. I like that the staff kindly bring the drinks to me in the lounge if my session starts before the drinks are ready. Make sure to reserve online at least a few hours before, as sometimes they do sell out. Also like that they added a time per week for adults only as toddlers can be chaotic. Very thankful it’s here as my career does not allow me the time needed to care for a cat.

I had higher expectations than what I experienced. 😢😕 The woman behind the counter was very rude to the other employees, speaking to them in a passive-aggressive/mean way. It made me uncomfortable, as I felt bad for them. The drink I was eventually served (after about a 10 minute wait with virtually no line) was room temperature. It was supposed to be a hot latte. The cats were cute and looked happy, and I think with a better work climate, this place could be great!

I love this place!!! Very cozy atmosphere! Bake goods are delicious. I recommend the red velvet cupcake 🧁 coffee is delicious. I recommend the mocha latte with oatmilk plus no upcharge for non-dairy milk. They take great care of the cats! Only downside was the merchandise was overpriced

This was a cool cafe they had some alright espresso wasn't very hot. And I didn't get to go in the cat room cuz you had to make reservations and they said they were busy witch I don't think they were. I would come back again I got one there vegan burrito with was alright

Great place with incredibly nice staff and a very clean facility. I didn't try the food, but the person behind the counter was super nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place and will absolutely return. I love what they're doing for the animals and would adopt one, or more, if I could.

Had a good time at Nine Lives Cafe. It is so nice to have a place that set up for adoption like this. You do have to make reservations to be with the cats so it is not a spur of the minute kind of activity for a group of more than 2. They had a nice cafe with special lattes and treats and you can seat and see the cats from the window. Pple came in complaining of a smell, but it is a cat cafe so this is expected to some degree but was not overbearing for myself.
