Since my first time there, Epic has treated me and everyone I've seen them interact with as family. They're extremely passionate about the sport and it translates into everything that they do. They offer every new guest a tour of the facility. They have a wonderful 1.5 hour class that allows you to learn to belay and become more proficient in climbing which also includes a 2 week membership. This allows for free admission and rentals, as well as 10% off at their store, and a couple other perks I'm sure I'm forgetting, all for only $40. All of their prices are very reasonable, and they have the biggest facility and most routes I've seen under one roof. Lots of space for lots of climbers. The staff has even offered to belay me when I've gone solo. All around one of, if not THE best gym in the state. Although that statement is subjective, I would highly recommend you come check them out and give them a chance to welcome you into the family. 8/5 stars.

Staff was super friendly and informative. Even played a game of ping pong with them. Wonderful rock climbing gym. The one in our hometown is smaller so we really enjoyed the space!

This is now my favorite climbing gym in Indy! I’ve been to Hoosier Heights and Climb Time but this one is the least crowded and modern like HH. You can get a monthly membership or come on demand (gear rental is available) and they also have yoga classes and strength training sessions. It’s a bit of a drive but worth it and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend!

I recently visited EPIC Climbing and Fitness during a work trip to Indianapolis. The staff were all very helpful and I had a ton of fun climbing. They've got it all--top rope, auto-belays, and bouldering and they even have a couple of speed routes set up on an auto-belay! The routes range from very tall (I'm guessing ~40 ft) to average (maybe ~20-25 ft), to bouldering so there was a lot to keep me busy--and they had auto-belays on both the tall and medium walls so I was able to try everything. Kayla was awesome--she took some pictures of me climbing so I could send it to my coworkers and she even suggested a super-fun and challenging route and offered to belay me on it. Since I was by myself I took her up on her offer. I've never been to a gym where the staff have offered to belay so I really appreciated that! I absolutely love the logo and even picked up some merch to take back to my kiddos. My only complaint is that the padding under the bouldering area is thinner/more rigid than what I'm used to back home, but fortunately I didn't fall to much so it was all good. Also, it would be nice if they offered a discounted day pass to folks from out of state who show their home climbing gym membership card. Overall, I very much enjoyed my visit and would go back if I'm in the Indy area again.

Started climbing here at the new year for some good exercise activity that didn't involve running. This place will quickly show even fit people how weak they are. I highly recommend it, and can't speak highly enough of the staff as they are all very accommodating and eager to teach. The difficulties range from beginner to climbing up Everest backwards with one hand. The bouldering is solid and they offer classes for many things climbing and non climbing related. Members get the benefit of climbing anytime they are open and can attend any of the classes for free. You can rent all of the gear you need here but if it's going to become a hobby I would recommend just purchasing it.

I came in today (5/8/22) with my friends for an intro to climbing class with Gavin. We had a fantastic time. He was super fun while also giving us great instructions. We all learned a ton and had a blast doing it. The class was meant to end at 2:30pm, but Gavin was happy to teach us well past the end time. He made such a great impression. I definitely will be coming back and telling my friends.

The staff is fantastic, and the gym has a very welcoming atmosphere for climbers of all skill levels. There are a ton of routes to choose from, and the route setters work diligently to set new routes frequently enough to not burn out on the same routes. I can’t say enough about how great this climbing gym is!

Best climbing gym I've ever been to. I've been coming for a while but I felt moved to write a review after going to a different climbing gym that had a similar rating on Google. Epic blows it out of the water. The other gym was nothing comparatively. -The staff here is friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like part of a community and not just a customer. They walk you through the gym and explain how everything works when it's your first time there. -The energy is really positive so everyone else is always friendly. You can make friends with anyone almost instantly. -There's a great bouldering wall with plenty of problems for several people to be on the wall at once. Some problems top out if you're into that. -There are 5 auto belays so if you come alone you can boulder and top rope. There are several routes ranging from 5.7-5.12 on the auto belays as well so any level of climber can enjoy that. -Free coffee and tea (and that one time pancakes) -There's a ping pong table -Workout equipment upstairs (treadmills, dead lift, free weights, hang boards, etc) -Lead walls are huge. -Awesome route setters. -Crag wall -One time there was a bunny there Look, the list of positives goes on and on and I can't really think of any negatives so there's that. Great gym. Great people. I love it here.

Love this place. Gavin has been my go to guy for advice and techniques. Helped me with a smooth process in my classes and also got my climbing to the next level. Dennis is very knowledgeable on all subject as well but especially crack climbing. Gave me a book on all the grips, grabs and holds I’ll ever need on them. All the staff overall is great. Very friendly and easy to talk to.

Nice place. Took our 2 kids. One of the girls working was nice enough to belay them so they could try different routes.

My girlfriend and I were passing through Indianapolis and wanted to climb. So glad we decided to go to Epic! The staff were so kind and Scotty is always ready to give a catch to anyone needing a belay. Good setting and a decent variety of grades. There are also plenty of auto belay stations which have great variety for different difficulty levels. :)

Epic is a great place to climb lead and boulder. The routes have been stellar each time I’ve been down there and it’s also nice thwt they do a great job separating the kids areas from the adults (I don’t hate kids I just don’t like almost falling on them).

Stopped by here on a visit to Indy. Overall a great place to get some climbing in! Friendly staff and some fun routes. I found the boulder and route marking systems left something to be desired, especially for someone new to the gym and with limited time on my hands.

Epic is such a great climbing gym! I've been to all the climbing gyms in Indy at this point and Epic is by far my favorite. The staff is always friendly, helpful and engaged, and the routes are fun and challenging for every level. Awesome experience, highly recommend.

Great vibe! The setting was good and there are tons of walls to work on. Routes and problems had good movement. Grading was pretty spot on in my opinion.

Epic Climbing and Fitness is one of the best climbing gyms I've visited in a long time, and glad to be a new member. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by a friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of space for climbers of all levels. One thing that really stood out to me was the quality of the route setting. The routes were challenging, dynamic, and there were plenty of options for climbers of all abilities. In addition to the great climbing, Epic offers a variety of amenities to its members. There's a weight room, cardio machines, and a yoga studio, so you can work on your overall fitness as well as your climbing skills. Overall, I would highly recommend Epic to anyone looking for a great climbing gym. The friendly staff, excellent route setting, and variety of amenities make it a top-notch facility. Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, you're sure to find something to love at Epic Climbing and Fitness.

Great gym, staff are friendly and encouraging. Lots of route variations with some fun features. Not that many auto belays but great top rope and lead options. Friendly and great gym for beginners or experienced climbers

Dang....this is an awesome climbing gym. I randomly stopped here a few months ago while passing through town and was thoroughly impressed. Amazing staff....decent variety of climbs, and the auto-belay routes are great for when you are solo. This place is clean, nice bathrooms with showers and lockers. Just wished they had more moderate routes you could do laps on to get more endurance pump before you juice out....cheers m8s!

We had a class with Kahlea and it was fantastic. I had never rock climbed before, but within the hour I was feeling confident both on the wall and belaying. The gym itself is huge and has an amazing variety for climbing.
