I've been to a lot of airports around the country and this is one of the nicest and most efficient ones I've been to. It's well organized and doesn't require a ton of transport to get between sections of it. It has a nice, large food court right after ticketing, then you can go through security and get to the terminals to either the right or left. Super easy. The bathrooms and other facilities are clean and never crowded. The shuttles to the parking lots and getting to the rental cars is also simple. Flying with firearms has never been a problem for me here as well.

Clean, efficient and new airport offering many eating spots as well as the Delta club lounge. Security lines are almost always short and you get quickly processed. Plenty of seating in departures whether you're looking for business call quiet areas or more open space, there is somewhere for everyone. Toilets are clean and spacious. Rental car pick up and drop off is very close to the main terminal so there is no transfer via bus.

Highly Highly impressed!!! This is one of the cleanest, well laid airports ive ever been in. Ive traveled through several and Indy beats them all. TSA was fast, and you don't have to hike 100 miles to get to your rental car or ground transportation. Moving sidewalks in the terminal to speed you down to the further gates. Good job Indy!

Travelled to this airport on a Monday afternoon. It was a bit busy, but it was clean and easy to navigate. The rental cars are inside the airport which was very convenience. I went back to MCI on Friday from Indy airport. I went 2 hours before my flight. And Iโ€™m glad I did. The security check is slow. It took me about 20 min to go trough it and about 30 min for them to go through my bag. I travel for work so I have a work laptop, personal laptop, iPad, and a cellphone. They spend about 5-8 min and looked into each electronics carefully. Not sure why, because I travel with them at least twice a months for work. It was the first time that this happened. That didnโ€™t bother me at all, I understand itโ€™s their job. I just mentioned it, so you might consider going in earlier if you travel with a few electronics on you. There are many art pieces displayed through the airport. So itโ€™s a good idea to come a bit earlier yo see the pieces. Arts are all over, from ceiling to the windows. The airport is very clean. One of the cleanest I d been. Many places to sit and relax and there are many restaurants and fast foods to choice from.

I like the new design of the airport. I used to get so confused and lost in the old Indy airport because was a Labyrinth. Now it's much more wide and open and I feel free to do as I please. The floor is also really soft if you're looking for a place to take a nap. 10/ 10 recommend. They also have nice windows to stare outside with. TSA is also extremely fast and i never have issues with them or luggage. I think this is the best airport in the Midwest/ US!!! Addendum (2023) The Indianapolis International Airport offers a truly exceptional travel experience. From the moment you enter the terminal, you're greeted by a clean and modern environment that exudes a sense of efficiency and ease. The staff is courteous and helpful, ensuring a smooth journey from check-in to security. The airport's layout is well-designed, making navigation a breeze. Ample seating and charging stations are available throughout, catering to the needs of modern travelers. The variety of dining options is impressive, with restaurants serving delicious cuisine to suit all tastes. The emphasis on local art and culture is a standout feature. The art installations and displays provide a unique sense of place, allowing travelers to connect with the city's identity even while in transit. The Indiana-themed shops offer a chance to purchase authentic souvenirs and gifts. The airport's commitment to sustainability is commendable. The solar farm and other eco-friendly initiatives demonstrate a dedication to reducing the environmental impact of travel. What sets Indianapolis Airport apart is its efficiency. Whether arriving or departing, the streamlined processes ensure minimal wait times. The flight information displays are well-distributed, providing up-to-date information and reducing stress for travelers. Overall, Indianapolis Airport is a shining example of a well-run, traveler-centric hub. Its combination of functionality, aesthetics, and local charm make it a model for other airports to follow.

Iโ€™ve never been to an airport with bathrooms so clean. OK the little race car in the middle of the airport was eye-catching. Itโ€™s pretty spread out an open lots of food options and easy to get from point a to point B I like the little lights above your head when walking across the stair train.

Easy convenient parking. Checking available online or on site. Plenty of dining in main and additional concourses. Motorized walkways. Helpful staff. Highly recommended. I parked there for a month and it costs $320. Not bad given I made $15k. It was a small investment. Very comfortable, beautiful airport.

Easy to get to. This airport is easy to park unload drop off and anything. The whole property is smoke free. If you smoke get it in before you get there. This is a strict policy. The lines arenโ€™t bad. Drop off of luggage is easy. Thereโ€™s a small food court before security. Thereโ€™s not much after that anymore. Iโ€™ll update if I see anything this time. There is a place to grab a drink before and after security.

I have been to many airports in USA and what really stands out with Indy airport is spacious, impeccable and never too crowded. It supports the right amount of people and does not make me feel I am in a congested spot with no breathing space. I do like how the flights are planned which leaves good room to enjoy the beauty within the airport. I have taken multiple flights from Indy and it has always been the most efficient airport overall. Long term and short term parking are available at pretty good prices.

State of the Art Airport. Sleek, refined, plenty of Open court areas. Shops, gifts, a variety of food choices in Main Welcoming Hall. Short, efficient Security screenings. Larger airports should adopt more of these traits.

A wonderful airport, big, airy, well designed. We were there on a Monday, and there was hardly anyone there making everything efficient and fast. There are plenty of food options for all types of tastes. Keep the kids away from the big candy shops (you'll see the big spinning lollipops). There are a massive number of chairs, with power to charge your phones on almost all chairs. The wifi is straight forward, and fast.

This really is one of my favorite airports. It is smaller. New clean. Family friendly. The security line is not bad. Fun art to look at. Convenient long and short term parking and drop off/pick up. There is a cell phone lot. I usually go to Chick-FIL-A for gluten free meal.

Live music in the main hall at IND! It was fun to see the atmosphere. This is one of my favorite airports to travel through. Itโ€™s well laid out, easily accessible, and has a good variety of food and drink options both behind security and in the main terminal. Itโ€™s on the smaller side as far as airports go, making it easier to navigate and not too much walking required to get to your gate.

It was my first time flying into Indianapolis, and I was very pleased with my experience. It was such a huge and spacious Airport. I like that it was not so busy and if it were, I bet it's not gonna be too crowded because of how wide it is. It also looks very modern and sleek inside, the interiors were great and I liked how it was a short walk from my gate towards the exit. The driveways were also straightforward and easy to find.

Worst hotel I've stayed at hands down. First night in, the fire alarm went off and woke the whole building up. Everyday thereafter, the fire alarm was going off continuously for at least an hour at a time. I tried the bar the first night for a late bite, I've never had bad food from a bar at a hotel. I ordered shrimp tacos, imaging they'd be quick from a lifetime of ordering and preparing shrimp dishes...it took 34 minutes to receive (2) shrimp tacos, on flour tortillas with raw cabbage. The tacos weren't good. The room was a separate disaster. To start, I took a shower before getting into bed and noticed the towel had a nice brown steak on it. Secondly, the pillows sucked. Normally, I enjoy my sleep in hotel room but I was consistently waking up to neck pain and readjusting to the unsupportive mattress. Third, I've attached pictures of the area around the air-conditioning intake and the filter that has probably never been changed. I was motivated to climb up and check because I woke up after the first night to massive amounts of discharge that I knew could only be from dusty air. I never turned on the A/C again after this. Notwithstanding the air quality, the system was stuck on heat anyways and I was sweating and would have had to turn off anyway. The only highlight of the hotel was the Starbucks downstairs and their fast and friendly service. I was at this hotel for a conference and my story above was not a one-off. I will not be back.

One of the best airports Iโ€™ve ever been to. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived and leaving was the same experience. I love the way everything is laid out with many shops and restaurants just before the security checkpoints and then a good variety within the terminals as well. I hope to be back someday soon. TSA was also very pleasant for the most part as they have the new scan machines. You could tell everyone was really trying to do their best and be as helpful as possible!

I absolutely LOVE this airport! Itโ€™s welcoming, spacious, bright, and has a lot of food options not to mention a FAO Schwartz!!! TSA moves swiftly and youโ€™re off to your gate.

Very efficient layout. As a traveler, I found the layout very easy to navigate. From the furthest gate to baggage claim takes about 5-8 minutes for the average person. The parking garage and car rental area are also 5 minutes or less from baggage claim and airline ticketing agents are also very convent. Also has plenty of food options with a good mix of sit-down or grab and go. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Economy parking is on-site and is also a good option with timely shuttles and fair price.

This airport is more "regional" than "international" as you may notice on the flight information panels and also in the average aircraft sizes. It has unique items on display, such as some vintage racing cars promoting the Indianapolis Raceway Park, not far from the airport and visible on most landings or takeoffs. Restrooms are clearly indicated, stores and restaurant options are abundant. The facility is comfortable and not crowded. Beautiful art glass is visible from most seating areas. The interior light seems dark, providing a sunset experience even around noon. The airport displays an ambitious architectural design in a medium-small scale, reinforcing the idea of regional service (rather than international).

A welcome change from our normal "busiest airport in the world." Thanksgiving holidays and still uncrowded and relaxed. We literally had a dozen people wish us well when we returned the rental car. Where are we??
