In
inimitable
Arabian
fashion,
with
an
imposing
castle-door
facade,
you
are
welcomed
into
a
romantic
and
elegant
decor
with
table
and
floor
seating.
Floor
seating
is
recommended
for
the
optimum
experience
with
curtains
drawn
to
create
a
small
and
intimate
space.
Highly
recommend
the
muqabilat,
traditional
Arabian
appetizers
available
across
the
Levant,
Hijaz
and
Yemen,
with
Hummus,
Muttabal,
Baba
Ghannouj
and
Tabouli
served
with
small
fresh
flatbread.
The
lamb
samosas
are
crispy
and
not
overly
oily,
and
the
lamb
arayees,
a
mincemeat
stuffed
flatbread
grilled
to
perfection
are
generous
and
the
meat
cooked
medium
rare,
with
a
fresh
rich
flavor.
The
house
classic
Mandi
Rice
comes
in
two
kinds,
chicken
and
lamb.
We
opted
for
the
lamb,
well
cooked
and
falling
of
the
bone.
The
rice
is
aromatic
cooked
with
various
spices
like
cardamom
and
star
anise
and
beautifully
complements
the
deep
flavor
of
the
lamb.
Normally
served
with
white
raisins,
your
serving
may
be
lacking,
however
don’t
be
shy
about
asking
for
a
little
extra.
Be
sure
to
wash
down
the
excellent
meal
with
a
mint
tea,
a
classic
digestive
and
served
in
tiny
serving
glasses,
even
the
small
pot
felt
endless.
I
can’t
comment
on
the
deserts
as
we
were
very
full,
with
enough
for
a
full
meal
for
two
as
leftovers,
but
we’re
sure
to
be
back
again.
Al
Jazeera
is
a
winner
whether
for
a
dinner
for
two
or
for
a
boisterous
party
of
twelve.
