I went to La Choza this morning to eat 4 eggs and 4 bacon. That's all I was in the mood to eat. . Prior to ordering I first ask the gentleman how much would it cost to order 4 eggs and 4 bacon? He appeared confused. I then asked him in Spanish. He was still confused. After about a minute or so another gentleman came to see what was going on. I asked the second gentleman how much would it cost to order 4 eggs and 4 bacon? He too appeared confused. I asked him again in Spanish. But he was still confused. After I explained that I wanted 4 scrambled eggs and 4 slices of bacon on one plate so I can eat it inside their restaurant, the second gentleman tallied the price. It came to $18.74. Even though I had more than enough money to pay for it, I thought charging $18.74 for 4 eggs and 4 slices of bacon was ridiculous. Although both gentlemen were polite, I Thanked them both and I told them I'll go eat some place else. Then I left La Choza.

Very expensive for small portions, a d the only reason we went was because they had a all you can eat buffet prior well it's now just a bar with ok food no chips salsa nothing.

The food was very good and brought to the table very hot. It was cooked perfectly with grilled jalapeΓ±os and green onions included with the meal.

First time to La Choza. Sorry, to say last time. Had steak picado, portions are stingy. In total not a pleasant experience

The staff was friendly, the food was tasty and the prices were good. Lots of locals eating there so that's always a good sign. I had the mixed fajitas, they tasted great but were just a little too oily for my liking. My husband ate Huevos Rancheros and said they were good. We actually went because the website showed photos of a buffet, it was a Sunday so we thought the buffet would be operating but to our disappointment it was closed.

Went here for dinner on a whim. Felt very cozy. Food was very good! Teenage nephew was impressed with the portion size. We all appreciated the chips and salsa. I asked for coffee and was told they only had cafΓ© de olla, which I'd never had before. So good! Reminded me of the Mexican hot chocolate my grandmother used to make. The guacamole that came with the meal tasted fresh. I ordered the carne asada plate with corn tortillas. Didn't seem greasy, which it can at some places. And the meat was flavorful and tender. The server was alone so service wasn't speedy but we weren't expecting fast food. She was attentive to all her tables, though. My nephew wanted me to leave a good review and I said I would because La Choza deserved it!

This place did a remodel on the restaurant tables and the drinking bar. What i noticed is that the food portions are smaller. And that this restaurant doesnt offer free refills on soda as before. They offer a can soda which costs $3 dollars for each can. I dine alone and i dont sit at the bar i sit at a table. Since im not in a large party i get over looked by the waiters. And i dont get a complimentary chips with salsa anymore. The food still seems good. But now i just get my order to go. Paying extra for a soda plus you got to leave a tip if you eat there adds up to alot.

They over charge and they use can beans !!! I even witnessed the cook buying rotten meat from the market next door called "Secoya market" !! Years ago the market was under a different name and ownership and most of thier meats has flies flying above and land on top of the red meats and fish and at that time I witnessed one of the cooks coming out with a massive amount of short ribs !!! Most of the food is extremely salty and you wouldn't be able to enjoy the original taste !!! VERY GHETTO RESTAURANT !!!! If you want your blood pressure to rise or get the runs this isn't your restaurant !!! Someone from the restaurant recently sent me a message and harassed me because I posted a review ....
