My daughter and I are here in LA on our vacation “from Florida”. I saw this restaurant featured on Good Morning America and was extremely excited to have dinner here. As we drove up to the front of the restaurant we saw the long line waiting on the side walk, but it did not prevent us from coming to place a order because we were willing to wait & pay for good soul food. After they took our order at the window there was a sign that stated from that point it would be 20 mins. That was a “joke”!! My daughter and I stood waiting for over 40mins as other customers that ordered “AFTER” us received their orders first!!!. Our number was order no# 104 and we heard them call 105,106, 107 up to 111. My daughter then asked the young lady at the window what happened to “our” order??? She asked: what was your order no# again??? which we told her it was 104.. then she realized and said our ticket did not print “inside” for anyone to fulfill your order!!! We waited all that time ( in the cold wind) outside on the sidewalk for this food!! They didn’t realize they didn’t have our order!!!! ... I was just ready to ask for a refund when they “finally” handed over our order. I must say it was a “disappointment” for the cost of $52 bucks and the long wait… It “was not worth it!!” They tried to create the flavor with a lot of salt and sugar. Trust me folks “I cook soul food”. I’m from the south and you don’t need a lot of salt to make soul food flavorful!!! . We ordered the fried chicken dinner which had a nice flavor of oregano and seasonings “but it was too salty!”We also ordered collards which was just okay but there was “too” many stems…Dulan family please “remove” the stems from your greens then your greens would be more flavorful. The Mac & cheese taste like they used just velvetta cheese and that’s it. We also ordered the fried fish which was good!! My daughter enjoyed the fish. The Orka & corn with stewed tomatoes had too much sugar or something sweet..It was okay but not “comfort”food I’m accustomed to. What happened to onions, fresh garlic, peppers and natural herbs for flavor. Not Salt!! Okay now the dessert was very disappointing too. I ordered “sweet potato pie” which is my favorite dessert and peach cobbler. The pie was too “sweet”. Folks there should be a perfect balance of vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, a little orange zest and the natural taste of sweet potatoes in sweet potato pie… All I was tasting was “sugar!!” Was it a “sugar pie”!!!!! And the peach cobbler i think may have been apple pie..It didn’t taste like peach cobbler at all. “Well”!!!!… LA peeps..I know you may think Dulan’s is a good soul food restaurant.. but it’s just “okay” It’s “not” a excellent comfort soul food restaurant . Folks come to Florida, Atlanta Ga or North Carolina then you’ll know what real comfort soul food is suppose to taste like!!!!. Also Dulan family work on your ordering process so your customers won’t wait so long to drop their hard earned money on simi- okay food Sorry but i had to be honest!!!

Can you say yummm! Found this place on Yelp after searching for soul food around the area. It was Sunday coming from a jazz fest and lots of places were already closed. We pull up and there’s a line. They had a Sunday dinner special - choice of entree, 2 sides, rice and gravy or conrbread dressing, cornbread, dessert and sweet tea….all for $23. Food was authentic. I got fried catfish - cooked well. Mac and cheese was made with lots of cheese and love. The greens, dressing, cornbread..oh my gurd, everything was delish. And there was enough food for two people. I ate it for dinner and lunch the next day. And I was stuffed both times. Do not sleep on this place because I will be sure to come back.

Absolutely loved the food. I had the baked fish, mac & cheese, beans & rice, candied yams and peach cobbler. It was better than I had expected. It was served at the right temperature and the portions were huge. It was shared between two of us and there was enough for me to have another meal of it the next day. It reheated well. Would definitely like to try more from this place.

This is the best soul food I’ve had out in a while! I got the fried chicken and my partner got the turkey wings. Both very delicious. I will definitely be back.

I was in Los Angeles visiting briefly from Chicago. I wanted some Soul Food. I knew there were several options. I searched for "Best Soul Food in LA" on the google machine and Dulan's popped up. So...let's go! Upon approach, the exterior is odd. There is a walk-up window to place orders. You wait outside for your order, then grab it and go. There was a long line. You can also dine in which was my plan. The restaurant is very clean. There are a few pieces of art on the wall, mostly Blues men. The atmosphere is very friendly. The waitress was simply fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I met the owner's wife Lynne. She was very friendly and we chatted briefly. I ordered the fried chicken (dark), yams, and Macaroni & Cheese. I also chose my favorite desert...peach cobbler. WOW! Everything was delicious! Those were some of the best yams I EVER had. The meal was spectacular. I bought a Dulan's T-Shirt too! So, stop messing around and go to Dulan's. You won't be disappointed. S

We visited while in town and it was an excellent decision! The food was seasoned to perfection, hot and portion size more that sufficient. The staff and service was friendly. They have the option of call in/pick up or sit down and eat. We enjoyed the fish, chicken, Mac n cheese, yams and cornbread. For dessert we had peach cobbler and sweet potato pie. Every single item was delicious. They have blessed hands in the kitchen. I wish them continued success in their business!

It's 617p on 11/11/22 whoever is working the front counter needs to clearly find a job they like. Blonde braids short girl. please be kind to people even if you’re having a bad day. You ruined what should've been a great experience. Even the lady behind me had a problem with you. Fix your face girl... the food however was good the greens well seasoned the oxtails tender and tasty. While visiting LA I will go elsewhere.

The signs say they are the best soulfood in town and they DID NOT disappoint. The food portions were HUGE! I think my friend and i shared a large meal and still couldn't finish it all. There was a wait but well worth it when the food is hot and fresh. We dined outside since the weather was nice. HIGHLY recommend!

The food was fantastic. I like my greens a little less tangy but I ate all of them. Luckily we got there before the crush came because it git really serious. They had great service and were very cordial and nice. Highly recommended to anyone in the LA or Inglewood area. Go check them out.

It's been my first time here. I had a meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, and collard greens. The meatloaf was really delicious. The collard greens were a bit bleak. The service was welcoming and friendly, albeit slow. Overall, this is a good place, worth coming back again.

First off, I have to say the staff here are absolutely the most polite, kind, serving, and nice servers I've ever experienced in Southern California. With that said, unfortunately, the food is merely ok. We had the "two protein two sides" option. And got the chicken and meatloaf. The chicken was good (nothing special) the meatloaf was ok. I loved the corn muffins and collard greens. And the peach cobbler was absolutely delicious.

I tried the oxtail with Mac & cheese. 10/10 it was delicious. Place was clean and smelled Fresh. Jazz music playing was a nice vibe. Staff was very nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place if you looking for flavored soul food. My husband had the smothered chicken, greens, and red beans and rice.

I go here ALL THE TIME .But on Sunday March 26 '23 there was a thin young lady with glasses who totally disregarded everything I ordered...to begin I placed an online order at 5:20 pm. The pickup time was 6:20..However when I arrived I was told to wait ten minutes...As I waited I saw people continuously getting served and as I inquire about my order again I'm told it's being bagged..this went on until 7:12 pm. Only to receive my order dry , cold ,and not at all what I ordered...I tried to be a good sport because "it's Dulan's it'll be good anyway, righ?" The total opposite..Not at all revivable...and NOT AT ALL SMOTHERED CHICKEN WITH GREENS AND CABBAGE

I love the food I just think there needs to be a faster process to get customers out because I hate waiting and I know other people do too. Like I said, do not give me wrong the food is fire. The wait is what I don’t like to do, I’ll try to order online before six because after six they don’t take online orders or phone orders at the end of the day if you want a fast experience order online first and you’ll be in and out

This place always has people so we decided to check it out. You order and pick up your food outside. There was a long line but it moved quickly. We decided to tried the lunch fried chicken and the lunch fried fish. They do have an inside sitting area next to the pick up window. It was so clean and spacious, with music playing in the background for you to enjoy with your food. The fish with the hot sauce was delicious and the mashed potatoes. The real MVP in my eyes were the corn muffins. Those were so bomb, I could eat one a day for the rest of my life. It was that good 🤤 definitely worth eating here.

Friendly staff. We were very hungry. Line moved quickly. Ordered outside and then ate indoors. Food was good. However high traffic place. Most people ordered to go.

I haven't been to Dulan's for several years. They are still very popular with a long line just to order. It didn't take too long to get my food. There is seating outside and more seating inside now. The food was very good. I got the short rib dinner. You get a choice of three sides with a dinner and two cornbread muffins, $25.00 +. My only complaint is the meat was a little to chewy, and I'm not sure if the meat is short ribs it looks and tastes more like chuck roast.

The food was good (didn't particularly care for the cornbread). We took our order to go, as there was no place to eat inside. Discovered that they gave us black eye peas instead of the ordered red beans and rice. I would definitely go back again!

This place was great! Between my son, my wife and myself we had the smothered pork chop, baked fish and meatloaf. All were fantastic. Nice people working. If it’s your first time, you order at an outside window, get your food in a to-go bag, then you can eat in a side room.

My family and I dined here after a private funeral at Inglewood Park Cemetery. The manager, Stephanie, was AMAZING! There were 16 people in our party and she and the team were so accommodating and understanding. Stephanie was beyond patient with the elderly people in our group and answered all our questions about the menu over and over again. 😩😂 The food was tasty and the portions were large whether it was lunch or dinner plate. The oxtails were a nice size, the baked chicken was good, the beef entrees were tender, the cabbage was not overcooked, the green beans were seasoned, the cornbread muffins were really good, and the fried chicken was delicious. The desserts were plentiful and there are two sizes for most items if it's not a slice of cake. The ladies at the front where you order were also very nice and attentive to all customers who were there. Inside the dining room, it's clean, neat, and smells fresh. It is constantly cleaned and freshened in a way that makes you comfortable to eat inside without issue. I would visit this location again and appreciate the hospitality Stephanie and her team demonstrated.

The food does speak for itself! Great first time experience here. Our order was a veggie plate and an oxtail plate both were served with cornbread muffins. The portion sizes were more than enough. To add to the indulgence, the peach cobbler stepped up and showed out. The order and dining set up was unique. On site orders are taken through an outside window and then delivered. The indoor dining room is available, but only until 6pm. The staff member working in that area was kind and engaging with us and several other patrons that were visiting the establishment.

Dulan's Soul Food is definitely worth the hype. The portions are large. The food was served nice and hot. The cornbread literally melts in your mouth. The baked chicken was well seasoned. Everything was tasty! Definitely a 10/10. When I come back to visit LA, I'll make sure to stop by again.

Been here 2 times in 1 month. I come from the Palmdale area for Dr's. Appointments & the 1st time I stopped at DULAN's I had the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, Mac & Cheese. I ate in their dining area. The food was DELICIOUS & they served a lot that I took home leftovers. The 2nd time, I had their Fried Fish Lunch plate with Red Beans & Rice & I love their Mac & Cheese to go. Delicious. Oh, & their Corn Muffins come along with all meals👌🏾 Oh,..did I mention the desserts? I tried the COCONUT CAKE & THE GERMAN CHOC. CAKE😋😋

Loved everything. We had chicken with Mac and cheese, red beans, black eyed peas, okra, mashed potatoes and collards/cabbage. Would skip the okra next time but the rest slapped. Staff were so friendly too!
