Very nice pub, with little boxes where you can drink and eat while you you see the river ness, my couple and me enjoyed a lot the food and the drink, it's remarkable that they have vegan food. The story of the pub was also a good point! We are sure that we'll come back to Inverness again, and I'm sure ...we will repeat here!

We were 10 people inside eating and got a friendly and super and fast service. We tried different dishes like - Salmon Wraps - Pan Fried Salmon Fillet - Foxes Steak and Guinness Pie - Classic Chicken Caesar Salt A couple of the kids got a burger which was also really good. Others got pizza which I really would not recommend, some of them were freeze pizza.

I ordered soup of day - tomato and pepper. Mature cheddar and onion tart, wild mushroom risotto, onion rings and coffee latte. Soup of day served with bread and butter. Waitress tell me it is not spicy but it's were. Inside black pepper and it's was not tasty for me. Mature cheddar and onion tart served with fresh shoots of young peas, were tasty for me. Wild mushroom risotto were awful. Leek and rice wasn't ready. Rice scratched my teeth. The leek was impossible to chew. The mushrooms were not washed well enough, so several times I felt sand on my teeth. Onion rings not tasty. The dough is not tasty and too greasy. Coffee latte were tasty with brown sugar. Despite the fact that the restaurant was half empty, I was served unreasonably long. I expected more from this place. I back here, because I wanted try potato gnocchi and macaroni cheese. So I ordered potato gnocchi, macaroni cheese and chamomile tea. Macaroni cheese served with seasoned chips and fresh salad. Salad look not nice, so I did not touch it, but macaroni and chips were tasty. Simple and tasty. Thank you. Potato gnocchi were awful. They were half raw and not tasty. Other vegetables in dish was just ok. Not tasty for me. Chamomile tea was tasty. Hope it is not possible spoil simple tea. The second time the waiters served me much faster and were more friendly. So in this place I can order just macaroni cheese with chips and onion tart. Macaroni cheese available just from 12pm to 4pm in summer and from 12pm to 3pm in winter.

amazing above and beyond service, great ambiance and super clean! would 100% recommend and go again. Steak wasn’t the best though but could have just been a bad day. LOVED the straightener in the toilet for hair touch ups!

Went for lunch. Our waitress was salt friendly and good crac. Went for the sharing platter to start which was fantastic. Bruschetta another starter, a touch too much dressing and greenery. Mains were ok, Cullen Skink at £14.95 is a bit steep, and have had better elsewhere. Salt and Pepper chicken burger was ok, not to my taste and wouldn't have it again. Steak and Cheese baguette was lovely, lots of meat. Veggie burger was ok. Unfortunately the cajun chips were not that hot and touch too much seasoning, for my tastes. Chips with the baquette were roasty toasty. Decent menu choices, with reasonable prices. would try again. Good atmosphere in the place.

Expensive but great decor and atmosphere. Visited following week, very tasty mussels, would give five stars however, beards and barnacles not removed from mussels. But if you're paying £15 for meal that's a must have.

For a quick bite to eat. Reasonable pub food at reasonable price in Inverness. Pan fried salmon and Highlander & Nessy burgers.

Friendly and helpful service. Food was great. The Haggis rolls were actually tasty. Would swing bye again.

Had the Steak and Guinness pie. Very delicious! The best I have ever had. Waitress was nice and great service. The food came out within 3 mins !!!

Great pub with great food for a fair price. Honestly we got a recommendation from our guest house hostess to go there and it didn't disappoint. The courses are giant and should be treated with care, we took the entree platter which was super large (could feed a single person for sure), the nessi burger and the Guinness pie and all of them were super tasty They have a large selection of beers and liqueur as well Overall a great place for a fair price

Alice and Andy are very polite and friendly!!! The place has a great style and is very comfortable. The Cider was delicious. They have many options of drinks and food. Th coleslaw salad was delicious,also the fries: creamy inside and crispy outside!!! Delicious. Besides, the burger was tough and dry. It wasn't tasteful. The bread and the salad were fresh, but the meat made the hole thing little bit "heavy". I recommend the place,they have other options,including vegetarian ones. Thank you from Brazil.

Nice little Irish pub with good food and a really fun back story. I didn't stay very long but my food and my beer all came out fairly quickly and the service was great.

The service and the food in this place was outstanding! I was blown away by how attentive and excellent every member of staff were It's very reasonably priced, right in the middle of town and super quirky. Very highly recommend it!

We were on a Carnival Cruise Line excursion that included lunch… we ditched the lunch once we found this place and it was SO worth it!!! The people were so incredibly kind and the food was OMG so good!!! I had the fish and chips and my husband had some meat stew that had a huge fluffy warm bread on the top. We also got sticky toffee for dessert and it melted in our mouths!! We loved the staff and the atmosphere and the service was incredible! Thank you Johnny Foxes!!!

Lovely lovely lovely! Amazing menu with lots of options for everyone. I started with the soup of the day with the chunky bread and oh my goodness, very appropriate for the weather, loved it. Then for the main course I chose the Wild Scottish Venison Medallion and I was a bit afraid about the sauce but nothing to worry about because it was delicious, the meat was savory and the sauce gave it a nice touch. Of course at some point of the night I had a Guinness, delicious as usual. The service was incredibly fast, you have no idea and the people working there were lovely 🥰🫶🏼.

Very nice place. Extensive menu and, for what we tasted, very good. Fair prices for the proposed menu. All staff members are kind, helpful and always smiling. We had such a good time that we went back again the second evening. Super recommended place if you want to spend a pleasant evening. If we were to return to Inverness we would definitely return to this place.😊

We got there too late for the full food menu but just in time for the music (which was awesome!!) And they let us order pizza ! Great atmosphere!!

The steak meat pie was delicious! Also had the pesto and bruschetta which were yummy. Overall the food exceeded expectations and the general vibe was fun. We went twice though and both times had to get up and flag someone down to bring our check so they could improve on checking in with customers after food is brought. But the staff are very nice & friendly and if you’re not in a hurry, it’s no big deal.

I’m rarely impressed with a Western restaurant but this one is absolutely stunning. The steak is elegant, watery and beautiful, it truly bring the authentic tastes of a fine beef. Burger is stunning with amazing soft watery bun, added up with flavored burger and rich coleslaw.

The place was packed on a Thursday evening so that gives you a good idea about the place. The hostess was absolutely brilliant and asked us to get a drink while she sort us a table in half an hour. She was spot on, got us a great table. The waitress was also amazing. Not only was she quick, she even helped us out by telling us what she can add/remove from our orders so that our meal is perfectly tailored to our needs. We had the Nessi burgers and a lentil soup. The food was on the table faster than Usain Bolt on steroids. The service charge is not included in the bill, so I chased the hostess to tip for the awesome service as I didn't when paying, I'll let that speak for itself.
