The whetherspoons is always a good option! Good food and drinks all day round! Excellent value for money, they always have sales or some promos, this one was not the exception. Very nice location and facilities, the staff is always helpful. Great selection for breakfast and food in general. Drinks are soooooo inexpensive!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel feels like it needs a bit of TLC. Room was a decent size, but just felt a bit dark and whilst it looked clean enough kinda felt that it was in need of a deep clean. Would probably stay again if we had to, but not at what we paid for this stay.

We only live 20 miles from Inverness but find it convenient to spend the night there due to cost of transport and running schedules. Picked the King's due to price as we just needed somewhere to put our heads for the night. We were not disappointed. Large bed, bath with shower over. Big bonus I would say. Room was big and nice sized TV. Bathroom size was good too. It was a bargain. Would definitely stay here again.

Does the job I suppose. If I were just going out on the town it would be perfect, lively bar district environment. Far from peaceful though, if you're trying to sleep at any kind of normal hour. Parking situation was kinda oversold, the garage is several blocks and the environment is a little seedy and uncertain feeling. Shower was the hottest I have ever experienced in my life, even turned as cold as I could.

This is my local Wetherspoons and we have been here many times over many years. Outcomes have been good to ordinary each time. A visit on Wednesday evening (22nd Nov) however was not good at all. Barman was unfriendly during order with interaction reduced to "yes", "mushy peas?", "drink?" and "card or cash?". There was no option for a receipt. I asked him for a really dirty sticky table to be cleaned but nothing happened until another member of staff did so on request later. Food was very average and all 3 coffee machines were out of order at the same time. I very rarely do poor reviews but this one is completely deserved.

This pub is know for it's cheaper prices. But they often pretty packed. Their food prices are also cheap but you do get what you pay for. Don't expect gourmet anything, but it will quiet down a rumble stomach. Lol.

Stayed here 08.02.2023. 2nd floor. The smell of cigarettes was terrible. Fire alarm was going off. Rung and reported it to be told it was steam from a shower ๐Ÿคฃ was told on the phone that they was aware people was smoking but done nothing about it. Shocking at there is so older people staying in this place. ๐Ÿ™„

Can't rate rooms as didn't stay, only ate/drank. Busy weekends, but still quick service and usual good value. Go to bar for managers special!

This is a review for the restaurant. One of the best things about all the Wetherspoons locations is their consistency. Good food, great service and unmatched prices. I canโ€™t thank them enough for how much easier they made traveling with two picky eaters over two weeks and several cities. Drop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner for a good meal and a pint!

I ordered eggs Benedict without ham, scrambled eggs on toast, egg & cheese muffin and Lavazza coffee latte. Eggs Benedict was tasty. It is was really Benedict eggs, not cooked eggs. Eggs served with fresh salad. Egg & cheese was tasty and egg inside was liquid. Bravo! Scrambled eggs on toast was not tasty for me. Eggs was dry and one toast was burn under. Lavazza coffee latte was very tasty. Thank you. All hot drinks free refills! This place always busy, but not loud. I like come here time to time.

The food at THIS weatherspoons is awful. Poorly cooked. Basic meals. Even have to pay extra for some veg. The rooms have stained floors and the most basic decor. would rather have stayed in a Premier Inn. Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend.

Our annual long weekend in Inverness always includes a couple of drinks and a meal in The Kings Highway. A good ground floor space with great accessibility. A nice mix of booths, high tables with stools, tables for 2, 4, 6 etc. Friendly staff with prompt service. A big bonus is that the bathrooms aren't a compass ready adventure away!

All good and fair. Decent prices and at least transparent regarding nutrition info, allergies, etc. They could improve the amount of vegetarian/vegan dishes and put more greens on the menu, however, maybe people just want regular pub food anyways. Great variety of beverages (non/alc) is offered. More desert options would be a nice improvement. There is no direct service at the table, one has to order by app or at the bar. The service staff is very friendly and I hope they get paid well.

Great breakfast for the price, deliverd quickly by very attentive waitress. Only downside is that when I first approached the empty bar to order, the chap behind was busy doing something. Whilst I appreciate he had other things to do, it would have been nice of him to at least acknowledge my presence before leaving me for nearly 5 minutes

Had dinner here at the pub. Everything was good except for a conversation with one of the employees names Aarron. He was quite rude when asked about the readiness of our drinks and kept snapping. The other employees were quite polite on the contrary.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location, since it is very central! My wife and I traveled here on our honeymoon and stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The service was really mediocre and we had to ask about all needed information upon arrival... The room had no air-conditioning, which led to a rather warm experience in the summer period! During the evening a lot of street noise can be heard (especially in the weekend) and you should take this fact into account and try to avoid the lower level rooms! Breakfast wasn't included, but rather they recommend going to the bar next door (connected to the hotel by a door). The bar is rather cosy with decent food and prices, compared to the area!

I did not come to use the facilities at the hotel so I can't comment on that but I came for my dinner. Ok, so, I bought a crispy halloumi burger with chips and sweet chilli, now, I am not one to normally complain and I understand that you can only work with the ingredients that you have but my burger roll was microwaved, you should've named it the medusa burger, literally turned to stone. I managed to eat half of it and decided to give up and yes, I am not expecting gourmet food from a chain so I'll say the chips were alright with the sauce. But, that being said it was an alright experience and the inside was well presented. Staff friendly. I do not have photos.

Love this place! Good prices, good food and nice staff. You can order everything from your phone if you want (and it works really well), and the food is very tasty. Great place, nice atmosphere and clean space. Love it!

Nice short stop off for a drink whilst shopping, clean, friendly toilets are upstairs but very clean, atmosphere, good selection of drinks, cheerful staff would definitely return for a meal on my next visit.

A place buzzing with customers. I liked the casualness of the place. Was advised by a local Scotsman, Eddy Meitland form the Mackay clan about Wetherspoons great Scottish breakfasts. Another day I had burger with a slice of Haggis in it. If you are very hungry you can finish it ....I did not.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless, key card access throughout the building. Tea making facilities in the room with plenty of free packets to hoard should you want them!

Good service, cheap real ale and no loud music. Not 5 stars as they need to wipe tables (they were quite dirty). The 2 waiters were rushed off their feet, poor lads. Need to employ more staff.

Only ate in the restaurant, did not stay in the hotel. If youโ€™re looking for cheap food or you eat a little later so money or open late are your primary concerns, it would be 5 stars because you can get 2 meals and 2 alcohol drinks for under 20 and they serve food until 10 or 11 pm. When I went to the bar to ask if we seat ourselves, she said yes, but didnโ€™t explain that you order at the bar. After about 25 minutes and seeing a couple of groups sit down and then get food, I asked if I needed to order at the bar and they said yes. The food was just ok. Definitely a chain restaurant atmosphere. Bathrooms were nice and clean.

Cheap food and drinks, kitchen open till 11pm and great variety of classic pub foods on offer. Overall really convenient, and quite a nice venue to enliven the food and drink. Generous serving sizes. Solid night out.

You get what you pay for really, easy as that. It's cheap, good and fast. It's not fast food, but not restaurant either. Perfect 'pub' mixture. The steak that I had was a bit dull, and had quite a few chewy stripes and fat opposed to my sidepartner who got a real good looking one. And the most local beer they got was like Tennent, which is from Glasgow, so yeah, Scotland local but not area local beers. Was cheap though, so whats to expect right. For the price it was alright.

The food was nice and the ambience was superb. we ordered meal deal and chicken wings. Loved both. The cocktails were not good, super sweet and mostly juice and ice. We did try the same cocktails at other wetherspoons so we could tell the difference.

Walkable from Inverness Railway Station. The hotel was clean, warm and the facilities were good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The big downside it is on a street with pubs and bars. After these places close in the evening, it is still very noisy with people singing, shouting well past midnight and up to 0130 in the morning. Nice hotel, but I won't be returning because I don't want to be kept awake well past midnight.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. He offered to get us some ice in a pitcher for our cooler bag. The hotel rooms were clean, tidy and in order however it was very hot all night and had difficulty sleeping due to that. Scotland should make it a norm to put some AC in those old buildings eh? Given the location parking out front or close by was not pleasant. There is a parking garage a couple of minutes away which was about a 5 minute walk. โ€˜Spoons being connected to the hotel was a major reason why we booked here. Always a good experience so far at Spoons. Huge meal, lots of drink options and friendly staff.
