Quaint Victorian Manor which feels nostalgically feels like you've step into history. We went in winter and the fires in the lounge and dining area created such an intimate and cost vibe. 5 Stars hospitality of the staff, who were not overbearing but really very friendly and welcoming. Their menu is very good too. All in all a surprising gem.

This is an absolute gem!! There are many guest houses that belong to this hotel, each individually decorated and renovated to reflect the history of Cradock. The owner, Sandra Antrobus, has made the restoration of the hotel and guest houses her life’s work. She took the time to sit with us and tell us all about the story behind this magical place. She and her staff go out of their way to make staying here a memorable and pampered experience. Plan to stay more than one night so you can really enjoy being here.

Our honeymoon weekend at Victoria Manor was truly exceptional! The staff exhibited the utmost professionalism, ensuring that we felt truly cherished throughout our stay. My bad experience at VICTORIA MANOR HOTEL in CRADOCK SOUTH AFRICA , apparently the "hotel" has 2 separate dining area, one is nicely set up for fine dining the other one is just tables with cutlery placed directly on the tables no table cloths etc, with very uncomfortable chairs that make you slide while sitting. Yesterday 04/10/2023 we were booked into the "hotel"@6pm we went to there to have our dinner only to be told the fine dining side was for the white people that were still coming though only 2 tables had the "Reseved" sign and we were told to go and sit on the other side ,that's when we requested for a manager who first gave us an attitude and did not want to understand what they were doing was wrong ,he saw that he is not going to get away with it and asked his ladies to make up a tables for us on the white people' side .. as we were eating we realized in deed all black people were to the other room though there were available tables on the fine dining side .. it was my first time to ever experience such discrimination and that made me to realize there is still a long way ..

Attached is the 4* room I was booked in at Die Tuinhuise and Victoria Manor guest house in Cradock. Two single beds of uneven height (can't even put them together)... worse room I've ever stayed in. Did not sleep a wink. To top it all of, at dinner last night we had to fight just to get proper sitting at the dinning room. We were forced to sit In a side room outside of the main dining space. My colleagues and I were treated very badly at this establishment.

Die Tuishuise and Victoria Manor is probably the worst guesthouse I have ever experienced in my life. The service is poor, the rooms are not up to standard even the beds are damaged. I slept at a back room number 22, no hot water no Wi-fi, it felt like I was in shacks. I had nightmares this is not acceptable at all.

Tuishuise and Victoria Manor is your perfect stop on the way down to the coast or to explore the hidden gems of the Karoo. Their service is excellent, rooms are cosy and their food is top notch! Best lamb shank!

I write to express my gravely disappointment with the service I received with my Colleagues from PRASA at Die Tuinhuis & Victoria Manor, Cradock on 4 October 2023. I couldn't believe the extent in which South Africa is racially divided. The Africans are treated differently from other races, we selected a sitting area at their dinning venue, later on an attendant came over and told us to find another place apparently the table was reserved for tourists from Germany. The staff attitude is stinking rot, they don't value their customers. We have now reported them to our travel agent. Disgusting service!!!!
