Very interesting place. It’s all about dates. Date shakes , honey bakery items. A great place to go n relax. The gift shop is full Of cute things and reasonably priced. We love the honey and get multiple jars when we visit. There is a trail head the the amergosa valley. A quick walk will take you to a old surveyor cabin, water springs and some awesome views. Even in winter this place gets warm bring water and watch out for the prickle plants along the trails.

Great place to go to spend a couple of hours, there is a trail from the farm that's doable in an hour. There is zero shade on the wall but the farm has shade, so grab a date shake and relax in the shade before. The have a bakery here where they make date bread and cakes, and a cafe you can get shakes and coffee. Loads of party and the place does not charge an entry fee.

Worth the drive from Las Vegas. Beautiful, relaxing, and straightforward drive. It is such a quaint place. Very cool to see the date palm trees. There's a little bit of dirt road but not a rough terrain to go through. Love the little gift shop they have. Had some date shake. Super delicious! We also bought dates from here and it is amazing and flavorful! It's also very nice to be able to support their business. There are places you can hike. Make sure to bring lots of water on hot days! And I have spotted a coyote within their date farm so be watchful.

Like a cartoon oasis surrounded by true desert. Not even Mormon Tea dares grow ‘round here. First we were blasted by loose sand and violent, hair-dryer winds off the Dumont Dunes. Then we crawled up Amargosa Canyon via the rocailleux Sperry Wash trail. We considered following the river all the way to the farm, but it was officially blocked and likely impassable anyway. We’d still like to try this approach, but we viewed the possible exit from the farm and it looked like a footpath. The rail bridges were torn out so you’d need some alt. way to cross. We suspected China Ranch would be closed since it’s inferno season. To our surprise, they were open and had cold cold brew waiting for us. The staff was delightful. The grounds are quirky and relaxing. You can wander the date palms and imagine you’re in a Sumerian garden. You won’t regret the date shake.

My dad lived in DV for a little and when I visited 10 years ago he brought me here for a date shake! It made such an impression on me that when I was recently in Vegas with my partner, I insisted that we drive out to this spot! Such a gorgeous drive, and a perfect destination! The date shake was just as good as I remembered and I was excited they had a vegan smoothie option which my partner could enjoy! The gift shop is cool as well. Totally recommend a visit!

Always a treat. The date shakes are a must. Every trip we stock up on all our favorite varieties of dates. The hummus plate is new and really good. The trails are great and the gift shop a cool respite on the hottest of days.

Great place for all things 'dates'! And a fantastic oasis in the desert! The milkshakes are the true winners here! They are very delicious and great on a warm day! David is really great and very knowledge about the history of dates and the ranch. They offer other goodies too, but my favorite are the cookies. There are also some trails that are part of a national land area, so a great way to spend a cool afternoon. Long drive in the middle of the desert and dirt roads, but definitely worth the trip!

Hosts a trailhead to several nice half day excursions. Begin and end with a date shake or smoothie. Most excellent!

Wonderful little spot in a hidden valley. The drive in is pretty fantastic, lots of neat landforms. Fantastic date shakes and baked goods. Perfect place for lunch at the picnic area, or for a walk down the valley to the river and the old railroad. Very unique, scenic place, we try to visit anytime we're within 100 miles of here!
