Keough's Hot Springs

Tourist attraction Spa

👍👍 Old school hot springs. Family friendly. It has showers and changing rooms. There is a huge warm pool for swimming and a large shallow hot tub for soaking. Limited pool chairs and a section set aside to eat at their snack bar. Outside the pool area there are grassy picnic spots with tables. We love... A must stop spot anytime we go to or through Bishop. You aren’t going to be razzle dazzled. But, if you want your body relaxed with this natural hot spring water, go! Don’t expect an earthy Oasis. It’s like an 80’s lap pool (minus the lap ropes). Handicap accessible. You can’t bring your own food but they have a light concession stand.

This place was cool. Literally! The young staff was helpful and respectful. They had a nice size pool with the temperature of 90° that felt so good on a hot day. Had cooler water being shot out of a faucet right into the pool like a waterfall. There also was a hot pool that was 120° that knocked the chill off when the clouds covered us. I'd definitely visit again. Even the people swimming were nice.

Cool little oasis in the middle of nowhere. The main pool is pleasantly warm for lunging and playing in. A bit too warm and sunny to do lap swimming for long. The warm pool is large but only about 2 feet deep.

Was referred to Keough's by a local. My husband and I went on our way home after a weekend at Bishop. We came on a Monday and were so happy we did! The pool is 100 feet long with lap lanes. We did a couple of laps then soaked in the hot spring pool. The locals there are so nice and we chatted with a few of them (Bonnie, Debbie, and Andrew). Would love to go camping in the area and relax at Keough's again.

If you want Hot Springs but you don't want to rough it, this is for you. I love the large warm mineral spring pool. I can sit in that water for hours! The smaller pool contains the really hot water. The staff keep thst place immaculate and they are the most friendly, helpful and courteous people you could ask for. If you're traveling to or through Bishop, California this is a most welcome and relaxing destination.

I have been coming here on the way to Mammoth for many years. It is not a fancy place but the water has been clean and the temperature is just right. It is a very nice place to relax your muscles after a long drive and skiing. There is a little snack store which comes in handy. It’s like a hidden jewel.

A quaint place that delivers what it says for low money and with no frills. $12 for day pass to the pool for adults was reasonable. The pool itself was very clean and warm while the smaller pool at top was hot and relaxing. Need more pool chairs though. Smoothie was surprisingly good

What a great historical place. And the stream that you see in the photos Is actually warm water, and it's free. The campground itself has a 100 year old poolThat has water from Hot Springs going into it.. They charged $12 a day to use a, which is a great price. However, Halfway between 395 and The campground, there is a road if you there is a road veering off to the right That will take you to the stream that also has Has Hot Springs water. A further away from the road you go calm and the cooler the water gets. I stop by that stream every time I pass through the area, so bring your bathing suit and enjoy it.

This is a great place to go if you want to take a day off from your fishing. They have a pool, quite big, that seems about 85°. Then they have a smaller pool that seems over 100. Very nice people; very enjoyable.

What a gem along highway 395! Day use parking was plentiful. Clean dressing rooms are available and felt safe to leave clothing in. The smaller and shallower pool is the hotter of the 2 and didn’t feel crowded. It was easy to see the larger pool where my kids wanted to play. The larger pool is comfortable and I never felt self conscious about my kids playing and splashing. Can’t wait to have an excuse to go back there

Absolute must! If you have the time and are in the area, make sure you stop. One of the mist relaxing places I have been too. Not too pricey and a good selection of hot and warm pools!

Small pool can fit 3 to 4 people in it. Someone needs to take a bush to clean off all the algae. Or maybe I didn't see it if there was one. Not to hot. I will definitely take a brush next time to leave it to that its not so slippery getting in or out. Small 5 to 8 walk in after you park.

Solid spot, really enjoyed it. A lot of children running around so probably a great place to take kids for a weekend trip

Been going there for ages. Great stop, wish they had overflow transit camping spots for " just passing through hot spring lovers ". The whole area is just incredible !

After all the hiking, it was relaxing. Water temperature not hot enough...at least compared to the other Hot Springs I've been to in the country. Idaho and Alaska were better. Price is good though...$12. Why not!

$12 for a quick shower, locker room, hot spring and pool in the eastern sierras. The facility could feel newer with provisions to shampoo/soap and the alikes. Food and non alcoholic drinks are served too. Feels like a family place that is local. Not bad!

I love this place,it is not fancy but it rinds my wife of a place she went when she was little. We live close and take the 5th wheel for staycations as often as possible. The have some nice shaded RV camping spots and allow our leashed and well mannered dogs to come along. Bring the family and stay a few days or stay a night as your going up or down 395 very easy to find just outside Bishop.

It's a nice break from the natural hot springs. Nice option to go in the larger pool if you get too hot from the hot pool. Staff was nice and they have a store if you forgot anything. The bad The place is pretty dated. It could use some paint and maintenance.

This is an old worn down family pool. The hot pool is incidental and has lots of black particles floating in it. The spray in the large pool is hard to avoid as are splashing kids, especially on weekends. No lockers, but baskets to stow stuff on a high shelf. The snack bar has fair prices, a good selection, & helpful staff, but know that you must remain behind the fence, away from the pool. Bring your own towel & don't expect much.

This place is a gem! A large pool that is warm even on a chilly night, and a nice hot shallow soaking pool that’s less crazy (ie not too many kiddos!) would love to book a stay at this campsite to spend more time here!

The place is old and somewhat in places need of repair and refurbishment, but it is clean and the pools are clear and warm/hot and delightful. The staff is friendly and pleasant. Wonderful place to relax for a couple hours or so.

Giant pool. Great place to stop by and enjoy especially in hot day out in inyo. You can camp around the area. I would have gave it a five star if it weren't for the part I was expecting more like a big sauna like in the movies lol. Great place overall to have fun. Pool is 8ft deep to 3ft. Great spot for family. Lifeguard not always on duty so always be alert of young ones
