The public servant female employee in the first room is very impolite. Her attitude is like if she was doing us a favor. ,"don't touch don't approach" she addressed our kids but also other kids that later on entered the room in the most inappropriate manner. In contrast to the other ladies in the vault and in the otoman mosque who were polite and in the one case that we heard her warning a kid not to approach it was in the most discrete manner.

Would recommend, but go in lower season

Beautiful byzantine museum inside the castle of the Ioannina city. There are some historical canons outside of the castle, nice spot for memorial photos.

ic kale needs to be visited if you go to ioannina. story of ali pasa, fethiye mosque, byzantina museum and silversmith museum are all in the same area.

We just sat outside and explored the fortress. Very beautiful view of the ocean, nice benches and there's a nice cafe.

It has byzantine paintings and pilar capitals and the byzantine history of the area witch flourished from the 13th century. The exhibition is turning in to a bit outadet. For a byzantine museum its ok. With the same ticket you can visit the mosque and the tresury buildings by the museum (witch are very intresting) and its on the nice area of the castle. Easily combines with the silvermaking museum on the same area. All in all its a nice visit.

There is a lot of things to discover but they need to invest more but very interesting museum

Nice museum. We had some questions and went to ask the lady at the entrance (she didn't have a tour guide) and she told us she didn't know and to google it.

Many religious exhibits, important manuscripts. It is worth a visit, it is the history of Epirus.

Pretty cool historic situations

I didn't notice any facility for the wheelchairs. The museum stops on Tuesday, but there is no notice outside (the first gate) to tell that, untill you walk the very rough road, then reach the main door of the museum. Nice staff, they answered our questions with pleasure.

Nice museum, it has images of the orthodox church, guided tour, it didn't have sand, did you have questions, the reception doesn't know

Enjoyed very much but I am totally into understanding sequence of empires and rulers of ancient Greece. Have been spending many hours in Greece devoted to history be of old Greece and the Persian empire, so was very interesting to learn about Byzantine and Ottoman occupation of this area.

Expected more. Maybe next time.

Very pretty, worth visiting

You buy tickets for 3 museums at the entrance, and you can visit both the mosque, the silver museum and the Byzantine museum. I cannot say it’s bad, but there is not much to see either, especially if you're on a short visit to Ioannina. There isn’t anything you couldn't see elsewhere. Especially in the mosque, there is nothing in particularly worth seeing. It would be totally okay if we didn't go, you wouldn’t miss anything.
