The food and service were excellent. The prices are misleading. The prices are different and are lower on the website and on the display outside the restaurant to lure customers in but when we enter the higher prices menu is presented. A butter chicken costs $22.99 on the website menu, $21.99 on the display menu outside the restaurant and $24.99 on the menus when you dine in. Please check which menu you get before you enter so you are not misled.

Mixed feeling about this place - 10 of us dined here on a Monday night. Positive comments: food came out reasonably quick, staff were friendly and thoughtful, food was tasty, they allowed us to split the bill. But: when we arrived the waiter suggested we try the Goat curry but when 6 of us tried to order it we were told they only had enough meat for 1 serve. The rest of us then had to scramble to work out what we all wanted to eat. They shouldn’t have recommended it to such a large group of they only had 1 serve. 3 of us ordered a lamb curry and 2 came out spicy instead of 1 spicy and 2 medium; so I had to eat a much spicier curry that I’m used to so my aunty could eat her meal. Rice is an additional $4 charge on top of the price of curry - which are pricey to begin with - around $24 each. A lot of other places give complimentary steamed rice. Service was very very slow and we had to keep asking to have our meal order taken/table cleared etc...

I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant! The staff members there remember you and greet you personally every time you come back. They are incredibly community orientated, one example of the work they do is donating food to homeless. They have great deals on food (banquets that are put together well) and create food which tastes amazing. I love the themes they do for holidays such as Valentine's Day, they put extra effort into these sorts of occasions. They building they are located in is a great part of Ipswich history and they do it justice by doing the work they do there. They also have a great range vegetarian and vegan options, the right amount of options by my standard.

Best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been! I was actually surprised when I saw the price on the menu because it was bit expensive than the usual Indian restaurants, but after I’ve tried a spoonful of butter prawns, I could totally accepted their prices. The size of each dishes are very generous, prawns and chickens were fresh and also full of taste. Specially their coconut rice is the best one. I’m just sad that I forgot to take the photo of coconut rice🙁... I will definitely visit this restaurant again as soon as possible.

A lovely Indian in the middle of Ipswich. Situated in a beautiful building. Staff were super nice too. Food delicious, it was that good I forgot a picture 😆 🤣 😂 We had lamb bhuna and goan fish. Both lovely sauces and heaps of meat.

Great service & food. Best lamb biryani I’ve eaten outside of India. Lovely restaurant in Felix Street, Brisbane nearby Riverside area easily accessible by ferry or bus (free city loop bus 50 stops about 30 meters away in Margaret Street at stop 98).

Today’s dinner experience was horrendous. We order both vegetarian and meat dishes. The chicken was raw, not cooked properly. The vegetarian curry was tasteless. I understand that restaurants cap the wine pricing, but this was above normal capping. Zero value for money. We paid $225 and ended up with an upset stomach. I would refrain from going there ever again. And the staff wasn’t sorry about what was being served inspite of us complaining.

The restaurant is very beautiful. The goat curry was very juicy and tender. The entree deep fried fish was fresh and tasty. Cheese naan was my daughter's favourite. Indian style Mango ice cream was a must try after the meal. Chai smells really nice. The waiter was very attentive.

Tried the Palak paneer & it was the freshest curry i’ve ever had. They seem to cater to an “English” audience at Taringa so the use of spice was different to put it nicely - but for a restaurant meal, it was pretty good. But the highlight was the service and ambiance. Ask for Raveena when you’re there. Her hospitality was something i’ve never experienced at an Indian Restaurant (perhaps because she was Nepalese). Highly recommended!!!

Walked in for lunch recently, and had a great experience. Goat curry is packed with flavour, and the meat falls off the bone. The Kashmiri naan was well cooked, with slightly charred crispy edge s. The manager (I presume) had great food recommendations for some of our group who weren't sure what to get, and remembered our whole order without needing to resort to writing out down..

Totally fall in love with Indian foods, everything was amazing! Even for the spicy lamb, excellent! Not sure the vegans curry was tofu or not, but it’s still tasty! Yummy 😋 Trust me, once you have no idea to eat, just come over, ordering anything from the menu, they’ll surprised you! 😍

Worst curry I have ever had, we ordered a korma and a Madras and the only difference between the two was the amount of black pepper. Even though one was overloaded with black pepper, they were both bland and uniteresting. The nan bread and rice were both cold, awful food. Don't order from here, you will be massively dissapointed.

Brilliant Indian food. And a saviour for my wife and I while quarantining around the corner at the Westin Hotel. In particular, can I recommend the goat curry and the Samosa Chat. A big thank you for their help and delivering the food to reception at the reception (and thank you to the Westin Hotel for brining it up promptly).

Halal certified, THE BEST INDIAN in brisbane. Unlike all the other Indian restaurants the food wasn’t sweet. All the other Indian restaurants sells sweet curries and calls themselves authentic. Visit this place for authentic food. The only feedback would be that naan breads were too thin and crispy should be a bit thicker for better bites of naan Ordered: Butter chicken (10/10) Chicken Vindaloo (9/10) Goat curry (8/10) Biryani (6/10) wasn’t the best Biryani I’ve had but average Naan bread (5/10) better bread can make food taste MUCH BETTER MUST VISIT.

Lovely experience on Valentine's night. Compliments to the staff. QR code ordering system very easy to use. I called after 5, managed to get a table for 7:30. Obviously very busy, 30-40 minute wait on food totally understandable. Cocktails were scrumptious. Food was divine. Partner had lamb korma (new for him) and loved it. I had the butter chicken with a bit of heat and devoured it with plenty of naan, as I am want to do. You guys rock. 100% recommend.

Mehfil in Ipswich never disappoints. There's a great view with Lorikeets normally flying over in the evenings. The food (especially my favourite, butter chicken) is absolutely delicious and served reasonably quickly after ordering via the QR code on the table.

They need to keep up with the busy time. Staff ignore you and pretend they are busy with others jobs and don't want to make eye contact with you. Put more staff on busy time or season. Is that easy. Food tastes ok. Online orders are never on-time when picking up.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere indoors is lovely. The service was quick and efficient, and we were promptly seated in a nice location. The food and drinks order was taken by a very pleasant young man. Shortly after our meals arrived at the table surprisingly fast, considering how popular this place is on a weeknight. overall the food was fresh and tasty with good portion sizes for the price. We always have a great experience and regularly drive for 45 minutes to eat here.

Outstanding Restaurant Decided to revisit the restaurant for a dine in dinner. As soon I had walked into the doors, I felt like I was in the right place and welcomed. The environment gives such a welcoming vibe and as the staff doing their best to treat every customer fairly. While waiting for food, me and my family had some great catch-ups and great talks. By this time, the restaurant had already exceeded my expectations. When the food arrived, it was presented perfectly. It looks exactly like the photos (which isn't the case at others restaurants). It tasted amazing, and didn't leave me or anyone starving at the table. Dessert was great, the icecream just tastes so much more real. I'd like to thank Jasan for making us feel at home. Thanks to all the staff who work here for your amazing service. Keep this restaurant going, best in ipswich by far!

My partner and I walked past this restaurant this evening and decided to give it a go and we were blown away. We didn't manage to get the name of the man who served us all night but he was so sweet and courteous. The food was fresh, delicious and we had a wonderful night. Looking forward to going back.

My husband and I were recommended by our accommodation provider to this restaurant. It certainly is in a beautiful setting in what was an old bank and the overall feel and look being quite majestic. There are also options to sit outside. The food was tasty and we enjoyed all of the dishes that we had. When we ordered and requested the dishes to be hot and spicy, eyebrows were raised and confirmation of our request given. Unfortunately this was not followed through and although pleasant the dishes were not hot. Would certainly recommend as an enjoyable experience overall.

As a visitor to Ipswich, I have eaten here 3 times now & it is the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. The food is great, the service is impeccable with a great sense of humour & pricing is perfect. Highly recommend.

Got take away from here to celebrate a birthday. It's OK, meets the brief but not great. It is the same sort of food that nearly every Indian restaurant offers, just more expensive. If you've ever been to India and enjoyed authentic full flavoured curries, you'll be disappointed and feel what you've been served has been dumbed down for the Australian palate.

Absolutely love the food here! My wife and I try to visit every month, we have tried alot of the things on the menu and have only found ONE thing, ONE time that didn't meet our expectations. We spoke to our server about it, he sent his boss out, and he replaced the dish with a new one, and it was impeccable. You don't get service like that anymore. It's clear they genuinely have a passion for serving the best tasting Indian food in Brisbane. 10/10 cannot recommend any higher, if you are in Ipswich, this is a MUST GO

DO NOT RECOMMED, I have given this place 3 chances now (all dine in) , 1st we went the fish pakora was like it had been microwaved and not even properly cooked , we sent it back and it seemed like they waited 5 minutes and sent the food back out because it wasn't even any warmer and it tasted the same not to mention it had so much oil too and the tandoori roti's just tasted off . 2nd experience was pretty mediocre so nothing important to note . 3rd experience was pretty bad too , started off us waiting 45 minutes to get our food which was pretty surprising for a Thursday night but what ever and then we realize the garlic naans have so much ghee on them and literally no garlic! Kadahi Chicken was pretty bland and butter chicken tasted alright but the tandoori chicken was horrendous, cold and bland and the chutney was so little and the waiter was so rude and just seemed to not be happy to work . Just don't go here , disgrace to Indian food

We were visiting this restaurant for first time after saw a good review but we were never told Indians are not allowed, the reason I am saying it as attitude towards us. we booked a table well in advance for yesterday and we were given table in corner in front of bar and next to door, however whole place was empty, we asked to change table and the reply to my wife got was shocking, “KEEP HAND BREAK ON YOUR KIDS” by either manager or owner who knows, BTW kids were not even inside. I was so desperate to walk off but our guest were already invited, second instance when guest asked for plates. He was given arrogant look by same guy and hand sign to wait. Third instance when other guest asked for water and that guy replied and pointed towards waitress girl “ THIS IS HER JOB AND THAT’S WHY SHE IS THERE FOR “. The girl was very polite and respectful. The only reason I had to write this review as same guy Touched intentionally on shoulder of my wife when he was bringing food to table, if you are a manager - Owner should take action or if you are owner then change your attitude. Treat everyone same. I have paid $450 just in one visit and I had to go through with this. This was first and last visit from us and anyone of our friends decides to visit. Just so everyone know Food was average, it was not WOW, so you can go to any other restaurant and get same taste as it is to attract Australian only.

Went with a group (5 of us) and this dining experience ticked every box for me. The management were sensitive to time pressures on us (we had theatre ticks for afterwards); the food and drinks were superb and they allowed us to split the bill. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

This review is an edit of the previous review which was a 2 star review. Soon after writing that review, the owner contacted us and patiently heard us out. He was very sincere in his apology regarding the service and food quality. He offered us to dine again at no additional cost with a specially curated menu for both the vegetarians and non vegetarians in our group. There was a lavish spread of dishes including butter chicken, palak kofta (definite recommendation), paneer makhani(top notch this time), fish curry and lamb curry as well as a variety of exquisite starters. All the dishes were delicious; which is how we remembered it to be on our first visit there many years ago! Kudos to the team for their customer service and significant improvement in the food! We look forward to visiting the restaurant again soon.

This was the best place. They didn't rush us out the door despite being very busy. They apologised a few times for being slow but we weren't in a hurry. The food was very good. We bought the banquet for two and there was a lot of food.

Very bad food. They made dhal makhni very watery and put too much chilli powder. Malai Kofta had become stale. Raita is a joke. They took back dhal makhni and altered tge same curry with more cream that made it worse. Absokute disgrace. I dont know these guys run business witjout any ethics. This restaurant easily cheat by providing very substandard food. Not recommended for any good authentic Indian food lovers

Fancy ambience but not a fancy food. Nice setup. My first experience was good and then followed up twice for dine inn and ended up having change in the recipe/taste. This place could do really well if looked after recipe and staff. Not so welcoming staff. Food arrives after 30to40mins. Manager promises to get the food on time on recommendations but fails to get in. I like this place and will surely come down to try some different food. But please not the lal mass 'served with lamb instead of goat. Nice bar counter with Sula wine introduced. Looking forward to come down soon.

The service was very bad and unprofessional. They are not serve as exactly we said. A person name is Rakesh whose behaviour very bad with us and make three time mistake (asked for no onion n garlic) in our order but every time it came with onion n garlic and we have to wait a very long that's mean there is lack of communication and clarity between staff member and because of them we have to come back without our dinner after a long wait of our food. Restaurant was not busy that time after that they make 3 times mistake in the restaurant and after long wait we takeaway the food from the restaurant by trusting that it will be without onion n garlic and next day when I open the food container it was same curry which they gave us on table. Yesterday, when I call to restaurant again for the mistake, staff member did not give us satisfactory answer and after long talk he offered me to get a curry from the restaurant and asked me to pick it up so after denying to pick up the staff member and requested it to be delivered the staff member asked to book a cab for himself and then they will deliver it so at last I got it from there and today I found same issue of onion n garlic that means still the restaurant guys not trained properly or lake of understanding because they make 5 times mistake in same order. So finally I never recommended this restaurant to any one. The reply which restaurant has given about the behaviour part is extremely wrong and it was the rude behaviour by there manager Mr. Rakesh who doesn't have any idea about how to talk with customer and starts yelling. Apart from that, he said that we asked for free food and threatened about the negative reviews, It is actually wrong as the staff member himself said about providing free food so we will not give negative reviews. I will definitely report to Brisbane city council about the issue which I had faced with them and I will urge them to take strict actions against the team.
