Al Sahlah mosque is one of the significant holy places for Muslims. This masjid is situated in the city of Kufa, Iraq. It is believed that this mosque was built in the neighborhood of Kufa for the followers of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib as. It is said to be future residence of Imam Mehdi ajf, the twelfth Imam of Muslims. There are various reasons that Al-Sahlah mosque is significant among other mosques in Iraq. Few reasons are being mentioned below. It is considered to be a resident of Imam Mehdi ajf after his final appearance on the World. This mosque has already served as home for prophets such as Hazrat Ibrahim as, Hazrat Idrees as and Hazrat Khizr as. Every prophet has established their prayers within the mosque. If you visit this mosque and establish 2 unit prayers, it will grant protection and safety for the entire year. The final trumpet for the Day of Judgment will be blown from this place. It is said that around 70 thousand people will revive from this place and they will enter the paradise without questioning.

What a glorious mosque it is. It has wonderful entrance where hundreds of people can enter in a queue. They have a huge entrance courtyard before they entering the main courtyard. There are all corners attributed with the name of various prophets and one has to pray there. This mosque has been beautifully built and excessively lit so that visitors may fell magnanimity of the mosque and surroundings even in the night.

Very spiritual, one of the greatest mosques on this earth. Close to Masjid Al-Kufa in Kufa city. 20 mins drive from Imam Ali Holy Shrine. Best time to be at this mosque is Tuesday night and praying hajat salaat between Maghrib and Isha Salaat. Please keep everyone in your prayers at this incredible place.

The mosque is one of the oldest mosques associated with Imam al-Mahdi (a), the twelfth Shiite Imam. There is a place, called "maqam"[1] in the mosque attributed to Imam al-Mahdi (a), and on some accounts, this mosque is where Imam al-Mahdi (a) will live after his reappearance. In the Shiite culture, al-Sahla Mosque is one of the most important mosques. In different parts of the mosque's courtyard, some mihrabs are built and each is called in the name of a religious leader, such as maqam of Imam al-Sajjad (a), Imam al-Sadiq (a), Ibrahim (a), Idris (a) and Khidr (a).

one of the best-known Islamic mosques built in the first/seventh century by some Arab tribes of Kufa, about two kilometers northwest of the Great Mosque of Kufa. Al-Sahla Mosque, one of the most famous and greatest mosques that was built in Kufa during the first Hijri century, and it is in the words of Ahl al-Bayt, related to the history of the prophets, their place, as well as the place of their worship and residence.

No words can describe what one can experience in such holy places. It's exactly what you need to wake up your soul and realize what this word and the world after is all about. I was so fortunate to visit this place, and I hope I get the opportunity to revisit soon.

The Mosque has great history and is very holy. I am not going to rate it based off that reason. The outside of the mosque is so busy. It can get bad if you are in a group especially. Markets are selling very lack lustre items. When entering the mosque. Security checks are very quick but can be a risk has Iraq has found to have quite a few attacks. They do not check your body thoroughly but they do with your bag. The near outside of the mosque is currently under construction at the time I am writing this. So it was very cramped. There are a few holy Shrines placed and I do like the look of them as they are well kept. Though everything else is very dusty and can make you cough up. The speakers when doing prayers are very loud so it is quite good for the whole crowd. Though there are no deaf aids. The inside is great. Very well kept. Though people may push you around to get to the Shrine of where Imam Mehdi (holy figure of Shia Islam) used to pray. Overall it’s a nice looking place with the shrines and interior being well kept. But they need to definitely work on the speeding up the construction as it can be very loud. And as it is cramped it doesn’t make it any better.

Excluding Masjid al-Kufah, no place in this region can match Masjid al-Sahlah in merits and honor. Majid al-Sahlal was the house of Prophet Idris (‘a) and Prophet Abraham (‘a). It was also the abode of al-Khazir (‘a). Courtesy Shia Companion

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Al-Sahla Mosque in Kufa is the true mosque of Bayt al-Maqdis mentioned in the narrations of the People of the House, peace be upon them. It is the house of the prophets and it contains their shrines and the shrine of the ruler, may God Almighty hasten his appearance.
