I just completed the online Reiki Level 1 class with Carol at Healthy Alternatives Wellness Center and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Carol is a very kind, patient and knowledgeable teacher. I received distance attunements today and I was not sure what to expect but I felt the sensation down my left arm, to my feet, up to the third eye and then to the throat. It was truly an amazing experience! The course was very thorough and with Carol's guidance, I feel confident as I go forward as a Reiki Level 1 Practitioner. I look forward to taking part in other classes with Carol at HAWC in the future!

After decades of Sinus infections, constant congestion, and numerous antibiotics I desperately came to Carol for Reiki, sound vibration and tuning fork healing. Since seeing her 2 months ago my sinuses are healthy; I am not congested. Even more, since college I use nose drops every night to clear congestion so I could sleep. Since seeing Carol, I have not needed to use nose drops. It is truly a miracle. Thank you Carol.

HAWC is an AMAZING place!! Not only is HAWC an amazing place for sound, vibrational and energy healing, it is the center of the local alternative healing arts community. And, it has an awesome shop that provides quality items to help you heal yourself. I had several sessions with Carol - vibrational healing and Reiki. Each treatment was a different, fabulous experience. I felt a real shift in my energy (and attitude), identified some areas that needed inner work, and, best of all, significantly reduced the acute back/leg pain I was suffering. Some will say energy work doesn't have "tangible" results, but I no longer need pain killers and people tell me I'm "radiant" these days. That's results enough for me! I also attended Carol's weekly Friday sound meditation session. I've been to other sound bath events, but these were noticeably higher frequency (pun intended!). First, the diversity of instruments Carol has is beyond anything I've ever seen. The different sounds and vibrations from the Tibetan bowls, Zen bowls, gongs, triangles and more made for a treatment that is the best I've ever had through sound. If you are interested in dipping your toe into the world of alternative healing, one of these Friday noontime sessions is a perfect introduction! As I mentioned, HAWC is a hub for the alternative healing community. I attended a Goddess Circle, Tarot Card Reading and Tea Leaf Reading Introduction at the center. They say like attracts like and HAWC is a magnet for lovely people, positive energy, fun activities and true inner healing. I can't recommend it enough - go and check it out

I attended Reiki 2 training at healthy alternatives and wellness with Carol. This was a retraining after 2 years of practice. I feel that I had an even better experience , received much more education, knowledge, and nuance from Carol’s training that I did for my previous certification. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend her. I also was able to attend a sound bath meditation which was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The fullness of the session goes beyond words. I cannot wait to go back for another one.

Allergy treatment - I came in very inflamed all over my body. After the very first treatment, I felt like all of the inflammation cooled. I'm excited to see what else I can change. I just keep seeing improvement from long covid after every visit, which is such a great relief.

Carol is such a peaceful, gentle spirit. The sound healing is incredible. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Carol provides a wonderful sound immersion experience for meditations. She has a very impressive collection of bowls, gongs, drums and other instruments. I have enjoyed her guided meditations, sound baths and the meditation in motion offerings. She also has special events for working with the new and full moons. I especially enjoyed a recent new moon manifestation ritual.

Last weekend as I was looking for a place to relax and unwind, I found this Rochester hidden gem. I did a foot detox that was amazing and had me feeling like a brand new person. It was incredible watching toxins being released from my body. I also did the meditation and it was very calming. I enjoyed how carol used all the different sources of sounds and a calming voice to relax the body and mind. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had with any spa or mediation. I will be booking my next appointment next week and look forward to getting a massage and using the salt room. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a great healthy relaxing day.

I have worked with Carol in several capacities at Health Alternatives and have found her to be a gentle, knowledgeable and compassionate energy healer. She is really intuitive and skilled at sound healing and the session I had was extremely powerful. The sound healing mediation is simply amazing. Carol is sensational. She will take you on a sound journey and help you develop better meditational skills as well as heal blockages. If you need help “getting out of your head” for longer periods of time, sound healing is a good place to start.

i visited healthy alternatives wellness center for the first time recently on small business saturday. WOW. what a beautiful little spot on the corner to indulge and relax in mindfulness! the women running that place have the calmest, sweetest energy. in just my 20 minutes or so spent in the center i was brought to serenity. i hope to book a treatment very soon!

I have had the honor of knowing Carol for over a decade. Our paths crossed very infreqently, as we were both busy with our lives; however, everytime I had an experience with Carol, it was special and amazing. I remember my first sound meditation with her; I was blown away! When I heard about the book, " The Art of Healing" of which Carol is a contributing author, I couldn't wait to get my copy! What an absolutely, incredible, riveting story Carol shares regarding her personal journey to healing! It is absolutely astonshing to me how much tragedy and misery Carol suffered, but the most astonishing and important part of the story is how Carol persevered and overcame these seemingly insurmountable life events. Carol is a gentle, caring soul despite the difficulties she has endured. She has not allowed herself to play victim and has healed herself and helped others do the same using alternative methods. Read about her journey and the incredible lengths she went to find training and healing for herself and others. I believe that we must "integrate the opposites" to find balance in this life. Carol's "opposites" are spectacularly "opposite". How does a soul manage to shine so brightly and do such good, even after horrendous tragedy? What an inspiring story and an astounding "feat". I never knew Carol's story even after many years of friendship, until I read this book. I highly recommend it.
