Triple Lanterns Cafe

Restaurant

👍👍 This cafe is the best in 大澳. In fact it is the most relaxing cafe in Hong Kong. The owner will tell you to relax and no rush in ordering food unlike any other restaurants. The lemon ginger tea is the best. All food items are made from scratch with real ingredient. The sunset view is a must see.... People often mention good,

Highly recommended!

“3 Lanterns Cafe” is a good hangout place at Tai O since it’s located at one of better spots along the canal there which overlooks the sunset & boats passing by at the canal. Cafe owners are very friendly. This is one of the “must go” at Tai Po.

Workers are very kind and lovely. The place have an amazing view and is very quiet. If you are looking to relax and have a cold or hot tea, this is a "must go". Defintetly I will come back if I have the oportunity. Try the Lemon honey, you will not regret. As a costumer, this is the place I most enjoyed.

Escape HK city life and enjoy the magic moment in the restaurant to feel the travelling in Venice. Food is fine and tea is very good. Very nice boss with beautiful view and traditional environment.

This was a surprise, found out by accident when we got lost in Tia O. The lady who owns it is very accommodating and loves visitors. Insists you walk through the whole house. Very cool, and the tea and cakes are their own wonderful experience.

A great ambient place for lunch or tea break! Especially sitting next to the river and viewing the boat passing by, we have enjoyed our lunch here with 2 set of pizza and crispy fish cake. The main reason that I give 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price. To a Malaysian, spending HKD600plus with 2 pizza set and one dish fish cake, it’s considered as pricey. However, my family have a great time here. The lady boss here was very friendly and great attitude to recommend us patiently and shared her traveling experiences. Strongly recommend to drop by here for a sip of hot chocolate or lemon.

The owner is back from England and place is working. Lovely place to visit while in Tai O. Don’t be afraid of a question if you want to be a friend with the owner. It is connected with licensing issues as they are not officially a cafe. We had good beer, nice ham-cheese toast and ok tiramisu (still partly frozen) and home made herbal tea. Check this place and weekends come early around noon - it started to be packed later.

Thank you for this great moment and warm welcome. Even though the quantity of food was a bit small, it was really tasty. And the environment is traditional and peaceful.

the owner is very nice. the menu is very small and not very cheap (full menu down below in the pictures). the food is (..). the view and location is very good, a little smell of fish, but you are in a fishing village so what do you expect. the menu is a little hard to read and maybe ask the waiter if you have a question, she speaks good English and we did a mistake at ordering. it's hard to find, maybe ask some locals (down below you can see the very good honey lemon lemonade)
