This is an exceptionally good hotel - I do mean "exceptionally good". I travel a lot for work and usually I stay at chains like Marriot or Hilton. Came to Cornell for meetings and our host placed us at the Statler. I understand that this is the campus hotel, and run/staffed mostly by students in the Hotel/Hospitality program at Cornell. The student staff are very professional and courteous. The hotel is very clean. The room is beautifully furnished. The views are outstanding from the big windows (and hint: request even-numbered the rooms on higher floors, and you'll have a great view). Housekeeping services are daily (most chain hotels still have not restored that). Just an impeccable hotel experience. I don't think I've found any hotel (including 5-star ones) to be impeccable - I think Statler deserves it!

Stayed in corner suite facing clock tower. Beautiful views and decor. Room was well kept and spacious. Staff were excellent minus valet staff, whom were a complete mess. Seemed like there is always too many cars sitting out front at all times so the front entrance is super clogged. Still giving 5 stars for service because other staff were so great. Heard Statler is the best hotel in the area and it lived up to its reputation!

The hotel staff was great . Unfortunately the internet channel ( netflix …) its difficult to use to the point you cant activate it for free ( which is advertised) but if you pay $ 9,99 it might work . The bedroom was top notch valet amazing and breakfast was really good . Overall a good experience

We spent one night here yesterday on our way to Canada. Location of the hotel right in the middle of Cornell campus is unbeatable. The quad, the meadow, the Art Museum and various Halls and Houses of varying architectural styles are within walking distance. The view of the twin towers and endless lush mountains outside our windows is absolutely stunning. Rooms are clean and modern, but the beds and beddings could use some upgrades. Buffet at the Banfi restaurant is simple but fresh and tasty. All in all, a great experience.

I am a Cornell alum and have always been by the Statler and to Taverna Banfi but finally had the pleasure of staying there. The staff is kind courteous exceptional and professional in every way. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous the rooms are spacious clean and charming. There is a free shuttle to tompkins County Airport on the hour which is so convenient. Taverna Banfi did not disappoint the service and presentation was top notch as always. Highly recommend the Statler chicken it is one of the most beautiful plates Ive ever seen. Also the duck is cooked perfectly. There's a reason Cornell excels in hospitality (among many other areas) go big red !

All though my time here at thr Statler was short. The customer service, especially in the restaurant was below par especially giving the price for the rooms. I would expect a better customer service experience. Coming from the south, maybe I have different expectations, but attentiveness, warm smile, and a general sense that they like their job would be a must. Past that, my experience here was great. I would hope to see a better customer service program or traing for students and employees in the hospitality services to be a bit more inviting and friendly.

My go-to hotel when I’m in Ithaca, NY. If hotel is fully booked, and I’m forced to book another hotel, I call in to The Statler everyday to see if there’s availability so I can check out of the other hotel and at least spend a night at The Statler hotel- sometimes I’ve had to get the ADA room if no regular room is available. That is how good customer service and the atmosphere is here at The Statler- you just have to stay here to believe it. Customer service is top notch compared to the other hotels in Ithaca. Great views of hilly Ithaca and Cornell campus. It’s probably because they have students and preceptors on site working in all areas and the students want to be graded well🤷‍♀️. But as long as I get great customer service… Food at the Tarverna Banfi is great! Other restaurants on site, likewise meeting rooms. Airport shuttle to/from. Great discussions with the students working in every areas of the hotel including transportation to/from the airport. Rooms, carpet and bathrooms are clean, well made beds, and room service is top notch. Gym is clean. Price is reasonable for what you get.

Good stay, but way overpriced for what they offer. A king sized bed with normal bathroom was what they call a “triple” I’m not sure how three people were sleeping in that room. You also have to pay valet on top of that. They automatically put valet on your bill, so check it and they will take it off. Free parking garage on weekends.

Best breakfast and brunch. Loved the design of the room and bathroom as well. Good view and kind staff. I would come to Ithaca again just to stay here.

This hotel is truly AMAZING! The rooms are great! Beds are comfortable! The staff are very companionate and friendly! I arrived here early in the morning after leaving the animal hospital for my sick cat and the hotel was able to accommodate all my needs given a short notice of my arrival. Also this morning I was surprised with a wonderful fruit tray platter and a hand written sympathy card from the manager!! They really go above and beyond here. I will be definitely be back soon! Great place :)

Love this elegant hotel and it's located right in the center of campus. I attended an event here...the food, catered by the hotel, was delicious! My room is beautiful and decorated in the Cornell colors of red and gold. I have a great view of a lovely old building across the street. I would definitely stay here again!

We had our wedding at the Statler which was incredible! Melissa and Casandra were such a joy to work with! They made the planning process easy and stress-free. They answered our many emails and provided us with all the information we requested or needed. They made us and our guests feel important and cared for. The Statler Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The staff at the check-in desk were very nice and helped us with the check-in and check-out process. They also helped us pick up our wedding decor the day after our event. The ballroom space is beautiful and the wedding suite was clean and spacious! Chef Eric and his team did an incredible job curating a tasty menu! The food was delicious, and we received so many compliments from our friends and family about the food. We highly recommend the Statler for an event or hotel stay!

The restaurant has a fixed menu of sorts and they can't accommodate request for FODMAP sensitivities.

Service was above and beyond expectations, especially the waiter for breakfast. Food at dinner and breakfast was great. Valet service was top notch as well as the check in clerk. Amazing stay and I would highly recommend the hotel and it's restaurant.

Nice, well-organized room. Most staff are the students of the legendary Cornell hotel school, but always professional.

Room was decent, dinner was good, but the front desk staff were rude and condescending once I told them I wasn't a student. Definitely would not recommend any of my friends or family to go there

I legitimately ate like 5 of the best things I have ever eaten in one day there. Delicious. Story book stuff

Attending a professional two day meeting on site and there is not anywhere for a mother who is nursing to pump…besides sitting on a toilet. I did check with the front desk. The sanitary and comfort aspects are obvious. I don’t prepare any of my food in the bathroom, do you? More is expected in 2022.

I stayed here for three nights in late August for a business meeting. This was my first stay at a Statler Hotel and it will not be my last. The front desk staff were receptive and accommodating. Room service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Finally, the cleanliness of my room was exceptional and a view on the west side of the building overlooking the campus was beautiful. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are in town for any reason.

My son held his wedding here and it made a lovely venue. The room was pretty, the food was good and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Over the whole weekend we made a lot of use of the front desk staff (changing room bookings etc.) and they were always patient and made efforts to help us as best they could; Michael Benson in particular helped us several times.
