👍👍 As a foreigner, to play mtg with Japanese players is very intimidating. However, the Hareruya staff was extremely helpful. They helped from minute 1 even when they didn't speak English. It was my first time and it will not be the last one. They make u feel like home and the players were soo nice so... Magic the gathering card company in Takadanobaba. There are other 25 other locations around Japan as well. They have online services in which you can order a specific card and pick it up in store or have it delivered to your address. Plenty of products in both Japanese and English, and helpful staff.

The staff was patient and friendly. They made my visit memorable. DI was a cool guy to talk too. He made me feel welcome and part of the MTG international community. The directions from their website is easy to the shop. Thanks DI for everything.

Going as a (foreign) visitor, the place looks as good as it gets! Ample space to play (an understatement), many counters, fast service, and their quality of singles (the expensive ones) is unparalleled. As for the ‘singles in boxes’ gems’ digging on the otger hand, juat no. Visit their Akihabara sibling store, it’s soooo much better!

Probably the best magic shop in japan. Huge selection and very foreign friendly. Have never had a single incident there that would make me unhappy. I gladly make the 2hr visit everytime.

If you are a lover of magic… simply come. There’s so much material here… The space to play is also quite big, and comparing the prices of some things to my country, here is quite cheap… got a playmat for 1000 yens So happy I came 😂

The best of the best MTG shop in the area. Incredible selection of English and Japanese cards. Was able to use the computer to find all the cards I needed. Easy to search for them, add to cart, and pick them up at the counter. Prices are very accurate for cards as well.

I had booked back-to-back prereleases for the new set, but when I showed up on the second day, English-language kits where sold out. After thinking it over I decided to not play since my japanese reading comprehension is so-so. I told the organisers this and was told that the only way I would get ANY prerelease packs where if I registered for event one and then dropped out immediately and then waited around for 4+ hours, registered for event 2 and dropped out. I had sadly prepaid for this, so I too the prerelease pack for event 1 (no pricesupport) and ate the cost for event 2. In short, staff where communicative, but not very helpful

Great selection of cards for a decent price. I could browse for hours. Compared to some other shops in Akihabara the customer service for foreigners could be improved.

Very great place for visit for the first time if you are a foriegner looking to buy/sell cards in Japan. There is well organized website and vast variety of cards to choose from. You could look the card up in the website order and grab them at the store. You could also find wide array of goods here. Nice playmat, signed playmat, artist original playmat/deckbox, deck boxes, dices, bag everything MTG related and you could shop it all here. Not all clerk here fluent in English so I recommend to have google translate ready.

Helpful. Patient with my not great Japanese and also English speaking staff as well. Lot soft very friendly customers as well. I've played a couple of prereleases here, including commander legends. My Japanese is just good enough to get by. I had fun. They seemed to be having fun. Seriously super fun environment to play more casual formats. Not sure how more serious things would be if your Japanese isn't good.

The ambience is great, it's well-stocked, and the tables were full of players. The staff are efficient and the store itself has a min. 1-yen buyback policy even on trash cards.

Long time buyer but first time I came to the store in Tokyo. Best place to play, buy and sell MTG cards in the city.

Do not sell to this shop, they will grade your cards far below their published grading system.

Prompt, helpful, and courteous customer service, never mind how they can accomodate multiple languages. On higher end items they made sure I had them on a top loader to ensure the safety of my purchases.

Clean, quiet, polite. Friendly staff. The shop part might be small but contains a great diversity of cards.

The staffs were really kind and have varieties of supplies. You can even get tax refund if you purchase more than 5,400¥.

Best MTG shop in Japan, with tons of daily tournaments in many formats, also the inventory is the largest in the country. The price is a little higher than smaller online shops, but the availability and the sheer size of the inventory, more than make up for it.

Really good customer support. Can order from website and pick up, or ship to address (unless it's a pickup only product) Official woc retailer, so they stock special newly released products from soc usually. I never did, but they hold tournaments. They also have a pretty huge portfolio of singles for sale.

Do not spend your money here if you are a woman. I brought my baby to the store, because my husband wanted to make purchases. My husband and I carried him the entire time, and he was quiet. Unfortunately, he had an accident, and we needed to change him. We did so on the floor of the women’s bathroom and made sure we left the facilities clean. We also rushed out of the bathroom, because the business only had one toilet for the women, and we didn’t want to hold anyone up. When we got back outside, we picked the table farthest from any games to put some things back into my backpack. I only used the chairs. My husband did put the baby on the table to button a couple of buttons on his onesie that he missed. The manager came to him and verbatim said “this is inappropriate.” What was? Me putting things back into a backpack? Me shopping with a baby? We didn’t play. We didn’t disrupt any games. We didn’t spoil any merchandises. So what was inappropriate? Us, the patrons, using a bathroom and putting some things back in a backpack? If so, then all of the male patrons who poop and need to pack away their cards there are inappropriate. Also, why did he denigrate me? Why didn’t he talk to my husband? I addressed the issue with him after and all he said was “some customers complained and I’m sorry your feelings were hurt.” We were at the table putting things into my backpack no more than 1 minute when he approached us. Also, the none apology just showed his insincerity and sexism. Apology not accepted. My feelings were not hurt. You disrespected paying customers. Have a sign that says “no women and children allowed” if you don’t want our business. Also, my husband has been DREAMING of coming here. You ruined the experience for him!

This is a tough one to swallow on my part since I loved using Hareruya in the USA and coming to the physical store was a dream of mine but three things occurred that soured my taste. 1. They have no changing tables in the store so I had to change my kid on the bathroom floor of the women’s bathroom. 2. The manager of the store yelled at me to get me kid off the table in the store. Which he was only on because I had to dress him (not change him) due to the fact that they had no changing tables in the bathroom. Also the tables closest to the purchase counter were not being used. The event was being held in the back near the bathroom. The first 4-5 row of tables were clear. 3. It is clear that they took the original women’s bathroom and converted it to men’s bathroom and made the handicapped bathrooms the women’s bathroom. I was so put off by this treatment of a person with a kid that I am going to reach out to WOTC because even if you don’t allow kids on the table for whatever reason at least offer a changing table. The manager was also very very rude and misogynistic.
