I was passing by this place to get somewhere else. I don't think you need to check this place out. There are some pretty photo spots though.

Good place to be if you are passing by. Prices are going enough see the place, service instead is not at all at the level. They mistake (made in purpose) 3 times our order.

The monument to John Cockerill is obviously interesting, but the rest is disgusting: the view of the European mafia building is undrinkable, the restaurants are tourist traps, some evenings, the Place looks like a discotheque where nothing is respected. In short, the symbol of European decadence.

The truth is that it is a very normal square, except that it is in front of the parliament, but that was not a good day to visit it. What a mess

Dating back to 1861, the square is now surrounded by the European Parliament, as well as some of the main European Institutions. The central building in the square is the old Brussels-Luxembourg railway station. I suggest going early so you have time to visit European Parliament in action and later relax in the square's many restaurants with a cool Kasteelbier 👍👌

It was a bit tight and odd to walk around because of the people passing, the restaurant terraces and the pavement in general

Beautiful square in front of Europe Station. The square is rather small and has only one monument in it’s centre. The grass surrounding the statue suggests that regular stepping is occurring there however during my visit it was empty. The square is surrouned by many bars and cafes 👍🏻 and it is very close to european hotspots like the european parliment.

It's a rather small square, right in front of the European Parliament buildings. There are a few bars and restaurants however and the atmosphere is always lively, especially when the weather is nice and people can stay outside, on the terraces. There's not much to see at the square itself, but it is a nice place to drink and relax after visiting the EU Parliament.

Maybe strange, since an administrative district (European parliament) is not often associated with cozy but this little place has some nice vibe with plenty of restaurants and bars (or bars that serve good food as well). On Tuesday you can experience a little food market in front of the cafe. Best of both worlds

Pretty good area for a drink or meal as there are so many choices. Thurs night seems like the everyone going out night and can get quite crowded. Depends on what you like- crowd or more chill night😅

Square with lots of bars and in front of European institutions. Potentially a great place, but it must be renovated (it's a quite noisy roundabout), it is too dark in the evening and the statue is often full of tags. Could be better

It's busy and if you're visiting the European parliament well worth the visit. A plus: there a superb bagel shops around and a delish food truck with soul food.

Thursday night is the new Friday, the crowd is dominated by EU commuters so the weekend social is a day early. Lots of terraces, lots of menus, and if you pick the right spot you might overhear some interesting gossip about plans in the European power base. Don't quote me on that!

Oval shaped, not square, but still fun.

Sometimes there are food stands with excellent quality to price ratio. Lovely waffles.

After visiting the parliamentarium we went to eat at a nearby restaurant, and from there we could see the beautiful statues and the whole space very welcoming.

It is a nice place to hang out with someone else or you can spend the time to look for new places that are nearby you. But only 3 stars because there is so much trash at a such beautiful place :/ .

Plux is a lovely place, always overcrowded on jeudredi. Grab a beer at night shop and come in here to destroy it in a very simple way (need to be applied once a week on Thursday)

Great plaza. Brussels is a nice city to visit. Not as nice as Bruges or Gent, but still, good for a nice long walk.

Great bars and restaurants outside the European Parliament, especially good a Tuesday when the market is there with not only good produce but some great good and drink stalls, especially the champagne and oysters, though all are excellent

It is a nice place to visit during the day and also at night there some bars around it that you can enjoy a drink and food, also there is a gathering every Thursday that I really recommend attaining for internationals in Brussels, you chat, drink and dance at that night.
