Facilities:
Booked
this
hotel
SPECIFICALLY
as
advertised
with
swimming
pool
and
wanted
our
kids
to
have
a
swim
after
spending
the
day
on
a
train
to
get
to
Brussels.
Only
AFTER
booking
they
sent
an
email
stating
that
the
pool
is
over
18yrs
only
from
6pm!!!
Too
late
to
change
hotel
by
then.
Location:
Metro
ride
distance
from
central
station,
but
not
really
convenient
location
of
hotel
for
Metro
station
-
quite
some
walk
with
luggage,
but
too
short
for
alternative
such
as
taxi.
Whole
neighbourhood
absolutely
dead
on
weekend
anyway
because
it
is
parliament
area.
Service:
Due
to
delayed
trains
we
arrived
later
than
planned
and
needed
to
quickly
feed
the
children
and
get
them
to
bed.
1.)
Check
in
took
AGES
due
to
tens
of
airline
staff
checking
in
&
out
(these
are
regular
corporate
guests,
do
they
need
to
check-in/out
at
a
desk?)
Only
two
check-in
desks
to
deal
with
crowd.
Similarly
only
two
lifts
with
crowds
of
airline
staff
in
lobby
coming
and
going
and
guests
from
all
floors
trying
to
get
down
for
dinner.
Luckliy
we
were
only
second
floor
so
I
could
take
the
stairs...
only
there
are
no
public
stairs;
when
I
asked
a
staff
member
he
led
me
behind
the
service
area
of
the
hotel
and
unlocked
a
stairwell
for
me!
2.)
Went
to
the
restaurant
to
feed
dinner
to
children,
by
then
around
7pm.
No
space
and
fully
booked,
"We
should
have
a
table
available
within
one
hour"
said
the
waitress
to
a
father
with
two
exhausted
young
kids!
I
walked
around
the
restaurant
and
counted
total
of
23
table
seats
for
serving
food,
plus
some
bar
stools
(nobody
at
the
bar
was
eating
so
I
assume
that
is
drinks
only).
That
is
way
too
small
for
hotel
of
this
size
and
also
makes
the
further
delay
on
food
look
even
more
pathetic.
So
I
opted
for
room
service:
Go
back
to
room,
no
way
to
find
out
about
room
service
(no
digital
links,
no
paper
menu
or
hotel
info)
so
call
for
service.
The
button
on
the
phone
is
labelled
"Happy
to
serve
you"
but
obviously
they
are
not
as
it
was
never
answered
after
multiple
attempts
and
minutes
on
the
line.
So
I
went
downstairs
and
asked
the
front
of
house
waiter
for
a
menu
for
room
service
-
they
offered
no
guidance
on
how
to
order
it.
Eventually
I
find
a
QR
code
on
a
screen
near
the
entry
which
links
to
an
online
ordering
system.
So
I
place
an
order
for
dinner
and
wait....
and
wait....
and
wait.
After
40
minutes
I
try
to
call
for
an
update
but
again
the
phone
is
not
being
answered.
So
I
walked
down
to
the
restaurant
and
ask
at
the
front
counter
for
an
update
on
my
order,
giving
my
room
number.
The
staff
member
searches
on
the
computer
through
the
room
service
orders
and
insists
that
there
is
no
order
for
my
room.
I
show
him
my
phone
screen
with
order
confirmation
and
eventually
he
finds
the
order.
He
is
not
able
to
give
me
any
information
about
when
it
will
be
ready,
because
they
are
very
busy
(23
seats
remember!?!?!)
When
I
go
back
to
my
room
the
food
has
been
delivered
while
I
was
down
checking
on
it
-
but
the
guy
at
the
restaurant
did
not
know
that?!?
Food
&
drinks
are
totally
overpriced
for
what
they
are,
of
course
because
we
are
a
premium
hôtel,
monsieur,
even
though
it
is
totally
mass-produced
(steak
&
chips,
burger
&
chips,
pasta,
childrens
fish
&
chips,
etc)
The
room
rate
came
with
breakfast
but
in
the
morning
we
had
to
leave
earlier
than
breakfast
started
to
catch
train.
After
lots
of
debate,
they
finally
confirmed
they
could
provide
a
take-away
breakfast,
so
order
3
of
those.
On
check
out
in
the
morning
they
had
only
prepared
2
breakfasts
?!?!
Not
even
able
to
count
to
three?
Could
no
longer
be
bothered
to
debate
it.
Breakfast
was
a
pastry
(ok)
and
a
white
sliced
bread
cheese
sandwich
-
you
know,
the
kind
of
thing
that
Europeans
take
the
piss
out
of
the
British
for
serving!!!
Room:
It
was
fine
for
size,
comfort,
temperature
(mild
wet
summer
night).
