Nomada sets itself apart from other local guides in the Mexico City area by being affordable, very safe, experienced, and very flexible. All of the guides are tons of fun to hang out with and have a lot of great info on local culture and places you go. We had a group of 7 and climbed Iztaccihuatl followed by a day at the Grutas Tolantango hot springs and seriously had one of the best experiences we have ever had. I am definitely planning on traveling with Nómada Mexico again!

Best guide group ever. Incredible value for your money. They pick you up at the airport, cook for you, are extremely knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make sure you have an awesome trip. I can't imagine anything negative to say about them. If Nomada does what you want to do, you should hire them! Nomada picked my group up at the airport, and immediately took us to enjoy some of the best tacos in CDMX. After relaxing over some delicious tacos, they drove us into the mountains where they had accommodations ready for us in Parque Nacional de Toluca. They brought PLENTY of food, snacks, and water for our mountaineering, and prepared gourmet meals for us themselves. When I got sick on the trip, Nomada was well prepared with medicine and solid medical advice. Between mountains, Nomada took us to CDMX and gave a detailed tour of the Museo Nacional de Anthropologia (having a guide here is awesome for English speakers, as most of it is Spanish only) All in all, these guys are some of the most thorough and cost effective guides I have met. You will love your trip with them.

My wife and I had a great experience with the team at Nomada when we hiked Nevado de Toluca and Izta in March of 2018. During the planning stages before trip, David and Misha were highly responsive and thoughtful when answering all of our questions. The itinerary they produced for us was detailed and incorporated all of the things we had discussed via email. While in Mexico, we thoroughly enjoyed our time both on the mountains and in Puebla for a spontaneous visit to the great pyramid of Cholula, in no small part because of the expert knowledge and caring of our guide Jorge. From start to finish, we were very satisfied working with the team at Nomada and would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to plan an adventure in Mexico!

I was looking for an alternative climb to Kilimanjaro since the high costs and many people on the mountain. Then I found out about several higher altitude climbs in Mexico and found Nomada Mexico as the best party in Mexico to climb these mountains. They were very fast with responding and gave me all the information I needed, so I had no doubts to book with this organization. I booked a five day trip with La Malinche, Iztaccihuatl and Pico de Orizaba and had one of the best hiking trips of my life. Since I am living in The Netherlands ( sea level ) I stayed a couple days in Taxco to get used to the climate and altitude and did three climbs to get slowly ready for the high altitude of Orizaba. I would recommend this to everyone who lives at sea level as well, maybe it’s more important than being super fit. Everything was arranged to perfection, pick up from place of stay, experienced driver who stayed with us all time and drop off after trip. We stayed in mountain huts/mountain lodge and at cancholas house for Orizaba. Every day breakfast, lunchboxes, plenty of water and dinner was arranged by our lovely guides. Our guide Ana had plenty of climbing experience despite her age and was very patient and motivating with a Dutch/Brit in the group who were struggling sometimes with the altitude and on the steep parts within the climb. On Orizaba we had two guides. I rented all the necessary winter gear ( ice axe, crampons, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, helmet ) which saved me a lot of packing space and the gear was all very good and affordable to rent. The Mexicans mountains are great for hikers who want to start with high altitude mountains and way more affordable then mount Kilimanjaro for example. After this trip I booked another overnight trip to the thermal pools of Tolangtongo, recommended by Nomada. Truly a hidden gem in central Mexico and highly advisable after a week of hiking ( also when you didn’t hike its very nice place to relax ) I would certainly use the expertise of Nomada again and book with them another trip when in Mexico. Thanks Mischa,Ana and all the others from NOMADA for the great (hiking) trip I had 

We contacted Nomada from a friends referral, Misha was wonderful with all the email commutation back and forth regarding our plans as they had changed leading up to our visit. We found the pricing to be in line with what we were expecting to pay as well, RT transportation from the airport, 2 nights at the Cancholas, ride up and down from the Hut and our guide and cook. Pedro our guide picked us up in Mexico City and stayed with us till he dropped us back off in Mexico City. It was great to have someone speak English as neither of us spoke Spanish. The climb up Orizaba was amazing and we enjoyed the views for a little to long on the summit! The food at the Hut was good considering we were in a hut! We plan to return for some of the other peaks and will contact Nomada for those trips as we really had nothing go wrong, everything ran really smooth. My friend and I made memories that will last a life time on this trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful day hiking trip with Nomada Mexico to Nevado de Toluca. Our guide Pedro was fantastic and the views on the hike were simply spectacular. The whole experience was incredibly smooth, professional and well-organised, from the initial organisation via email with David down to the pick-up and running of the day. We even finished the day with one of our best meals we had in Mexico City! Highly recommended!

These guys are awesome! They took care of all the details perfectly. Guides were so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Good food and aways had beers for us at the bottom of a hike! Seriously though, I would recommend Nómada to anyone looking to hike the Mexico volcano peaks. David, Pedro, Sergio, Mauricio and Alejandro were great.

I rarely recommend anything wholeheartedly and without reservation, but after our trip to Nevado de Toluca with Nomada, I have to say that this experience was the highlight of our trip. Misha was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with, always responding promptly and with many helpful details. On the day of our trip, our guides Ricardo and Mauricio were prompt, professional, thoughtful, and extremely helpful. They made sure we were well fed and watered for the hike and stopped for as many bathroom breaks as we needed. They also offered multiple times to stop for fresh fruit, or freshly squeezed orange juice. Such a nice touch. We originally had a group of 4, but broke into two and two to allows for differences in hiking speed. The hike itself is gorgeous but strenuous. Ricardo paced us well, pushing us at a speed that allowed us to reach the summit with extra time for pictures and a lunch at the top. He was incredibly easy to get along with and was always thoughtful, even lending my friend a trekking pole when she needed an extra hand. The views are gorgeous, the experience itself phenomenal. If you consider yourself an active person and lover of nature, do not hesitate to book with Nomada! We can’t wait to come back for our next visit!!

👍👍 Ernesto was fabulous! He is a historian who knows everything about Mexico's history. He's also a wonderful photographer!
