I
was
looking
for
an
alternative
climb
to
Kilimanjaro
since
the
high
costs
and
many
people
on
the
mountain.
Then
I
found
out
about
several
higher
altitude
climbs
in
Mexico
and
found
Nomada
Mexico
as
the
best
party
in
Mexico
to
climb
these
mountains.
They
were
very
fast
with
responding
and
gave
me
all
the
information
I
needed,
so
I
had
no
doubts
to
book
with
this
organization.
I
booked
a
five
day
trip
with
La
Malinche,
Iztaccihuatl
and
Pico
de
Orizaba
and
had
one
of
the
best
hiking
trips
of
my
life.
Since
I
am
living
in
The
Netherlands
(
sea
level
)
I
stayed
a
couple
days
in
Taxco
to
get
used
to
the
climate
and
altitude
and
did
three
climbs
to
get
slowly
ready
for
the
high
altitude
of
Orizaba.
I
would
recommend
this
to
everyone
who
lives
at
sea
level
as
well,
maybe
it’s
more
important
than
being
super
fit.
Everything
was
arranged
to
perfection,
pick
up
from
place
of
stay,
experienced
driver
who
stayed
with
us
all
time
and
drop
off
after
trip.
We
stayed
in
mountain
huts/mountain
lodge
and
at
cancholas
house
for
Orizaba.
Every
day
breakfast,
lunchboxes,
plenty
of
water
and
dinner
was
arranged
by
our
lovely
guides.
Our
guide
Ana
had
plenty
of
climbing
experience
despite
her
age
and
was
very
patient
and
motivating
with
a
Dutch/Brit
in
the
group
who
were
struggling
sometimes
with
the
altitude
and
on
the
steep
parts
within
the
climb.
On
Orizaba
we
had
two
guides.
I
rented
all
the
necessary
winter
gear
(
ice
axe,
crampons,
sleeping
bag,
sleeping
pad,
helmet
)
which
saved
me
a
lot
of
packing
space
and
the
gear
was
all
very
good
and
affordable
to
rent.
The
Mexicans
mountains
are
great
for
hikers
who
want
to
start
with
high
altitude
mountains
and
way
more
affordable
then
mount
Kilimanjaro
for
example.
After
this
trip
I
booked
another
overnight
trip
to
the
thermal
pools
of
Tolangtongo,
recommended
by
Nomada.
Truly
a
hidden
gem
in
central
Mexico
and
highly
advisable
after
a
week
of
hiking
(
also
when
you
didn’t
hike
its
very
nice
place
to
relax
)
I
would
certainly
use
the
expertise
of
Nomada
again
and
book
with
them
another
trip
when
in
Mexico.
Thanks
Mischa,Ana
and
all
the
others
from
NOMADA
for
the
great
(hiking)
trip
