Having lived in Miami, it looks like a little slice of it is here to stay in Jax Beach! Whether its the Cuban, the coffee, or any pastry/empanada, 1928 is the spot!

Visited new location on Beach Blvd for lunch today. It was very busy. Ordered a Cuban sandwich and it was fantastic. Cannot wait to return and try other items on the menu.

Got last minute catering for a work event. The mini empanadas, croquettes, and pastries were perfection, and disappeared in less than 5 minutes. Andrea was a sweetheart and truly professional. Will be back for some morning coffee and a pastry.

Everything about this place was awesome! My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a few months, now that we both had the day off for her birthday we decided to stop by. We were met with a smile and given the menu favorites. The staff was fantastic and the recommendations were on point. My wife had the cuban and I had the steak with homeade chimichurri sauce. Holy moly it was fantastic. We will be back for sure!

My husband and I haven been to 1928 in years and happened end up at the one on Roosevelt last weekend and fell in love again, I happen to work near the new one on Beach Boulevard so decided to stop by today to grab my husband and I lunch again. This location is beautiful as they all are everyone was so nice and kind my online order was ready when I picked it up and I have already munch on a few of the different things I got, and they are all delicious. This place is incredible. The food is fresh and delicious. It is worth the money it is not ridiculously expensive I could go on and on about this place. I am editing this again to say I get this location at least once a week, they are awesome. I have had almost everything here and am getting some catered for thanksgiving. Jess is outstanding, she is always so kind, helpful and makes the experience amazing even while waiting!

I recently took a friend for a late lunch to this quaint Cuban bistro. We dined in. The young lady behind the counter was so helpful. The decor is modern yet the atmosphere is still warm and friendly. They also make all kinds of fancy coffee drinks. I got the one with steamed almond milk. It was amazing! The food especially the rice plates are a must have. We both ordered the rice plate with marinate pork, white rice, and sweet plantains. I ordered black beans on the side. Amazing!!! I will definitely be returning soon. I’m so glad my friend recommended this place.

Jess at 1928 Cuban Bistro is an exceptional employee! She provided me with outstanding service, displaying a high level of professionalism and attentiveness. Her ability to explain the menu thoroughly was greatly appreciated, showcasing her extensive knowledge of the delicious Cuban cuisine offered at the restaurant. The menu itself is a true culinary delight, featuring a wide range of authentic and delectable dishes. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to interact with Jess and experience both her exceptional service and the wonderful menu at 1928 Cuban Bistro.

Loved the 1st location and very happy to get one closer to us at the beach. Was a little disappointed that we weren't asked for sauce for our cuban and then when we asked, they said it was a 50 cent charge. Never been charged for it before and no cash and didn't want to charge my card for that.

Amazing Cuban spot in Jax! We stopped in for a quick bite and got to meet the owners. Such a nice and hospitable couple! Awesome food! We will be regulars for sure! Please support their business as they are true professionals who deliver some of the best food and coffee we’ve had.

I decided to try this place one day for lunch with my wife. We always order Cuban sandwiches and this one might have been the best I have ever had. My wife thinks it is the way they cooked the pork plus the ham seemed to be sliced off the bone, not the prepackaged sandwich meat from the store. We each got a side. She got the rice which was just plain ole rice; nothing to write home about. I got something different, the yucca fries. By themselves they were good but with the dipping sauces, WOW! The only real complaint I had was with the cokes. There was no fountain machine. What they had comes in a can, which is fine, but when you drink two or three, that gets expensive.

I love Cuban food from my 32 years living in Miami Florida. I ordered a pan con bisté, empanadas, and guava pastelitos. The pan con bisté was over cook and very salty. I’m talking about saltyyyyy. The beef empanadas were very wet and messy to eat. Normally Cuban empanadas are not the same. The colada was great and the guava pastelito. There is room for improvement. I visited the Cuban Place restaurant in mandarin, the pan con bisté and the empanadas were just like in Miami. Hopefully the 1928 Cuban bistro will improve in the near future.

Nothing to write home about. My Cuban sandwich was good but not great. I like them better pressed. My husband ordered the steak and could barely cut it especially with plastic ware. The plantains were dry and lacked flavor. Disappointed.

Having lived in Fort Lauderdale and worked in Miami, I was looking forward to trying 1928. I met Adrian the owner who was quite hospitable. To see how authentic 1928 was I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The pork was very flavorful and moist. It was a real Cuban. Also had a cup of Cuban coffee which was very good. I am looking forward to returning and trying other dishes. The Cuban sandwich was the test. If they couldn’t do that right nothing else mattered..

OVERSTUFFED CUBAN SANDWICH The restaurant is clean and new with a modern twist and the lighting is a little bit on the dark side. They keep the restaurant very clean and they have a friendly staff. Growing up in South Florida I'm used to the thin crispy Cuban sandwich. This sandwich was wider, overstuffed with room temperature meat and the bread was not crispy. The meats were very good and the bread was good. I just prefer a thinner more toasted Cuban sandwich with warmer meats like I was used to when I lived in South Florida. I spoke to two other patrons and enjoyed their salad and soup so I will give it another try. Unfortunately there is no soda machine and one soda and the sandwich was $16.02. I'd prefer half the meat @ -$4.00.
