The food here is delicious. My favorite is a perfect portion of chicken and waffles. The staff is great even though the place is busy the food comes out always nice and hot. The portions are well balanced and the prices are reasonable. Keep in mind that the closed at 2 pm.

Oh my goodness! The portions here are insane! My chicken and egg Benedict was totally worth it and filling! You will not be disappointed at all. Our server was on point and very attentive to us. We sat outside in the patio area and it was a lovely sunny day! Everyone enjoyed their meals and the biscuits n gravy tasted sooo good. Of course I sampled some from my hubby's plate. Definitely check this location out but be prepared to wait if you come for Brunch on Sundays! It is worth the wait though.

My pancakes and Bacon were good but the hash browns were not browned at all and kinda soggy. My wife did enjoy everything she had. She ordered the same hash browns and you can see the difference right in the pictures. All in all not a bad breakfast, and very inexpensive compared to most of the places we have eaten,

Great food and even better service. Outside seating and well-behaved dog friendly. Coffee is awesome they use filtered water. The place is crazy busy, so be patient or go to fast food. Best menu I have seen in a while and good value! I am a Over-the-road truck driver, so trust me!

It has been just over 5 years since we found Metro Diner. The kids had the giant chocolate chip pancakes last time, but a little more mature taste now. The cinnamon bun pancakes were choice. Josh had the waffles and he loved them. Glad Metro Diner is still serving up great food in a family friendly atmosphere.

Y is this place always amazing ?? Is it possible to have a bad experience ??? The food is amazing, servers are amazing, quick effective service, even though we had to wait to get seated, what you expect when you serve the best breakfast/brunch on GameDay in town . Go Jags !

Had to try it. Second day in a row for brunch. Service was great. The food was delicious. The place was clean and open. I even drank the coffee because it actually tasted good for a diner. I will be back tomorrow.

Metro Diner is one of my long time Jacksonville favorites for breakfast. It's been featured on Food Network and serves up some of the yummiest dishes around. Born & raised here & I remember standing in line just to get a seat at the original location, and now there's locations all over the country. From the chicken & waffles to the cheesy omelettes and everything in between, Metro Diner never disappoints.

The service was amazing. Our waiter told jokes which made us laugh. It looks like a dinner with the black and white checkered floors. But the food was just okay. I got the B&G breakfast and my wife got the country fried steak breakfast. The food needed to be seasoned better. The steak was crispy but the gravy was just okay. The B&G was bland. I added some salt and pepper and it helped some but over all the food needs to be better seasoned.

The food was really good!! The pancakes are thick. Kaylee was our server and she was great! (I'm sure I spelled her name wrong 😅) Very short wait to be seated and the food came out literally 10 minutes after we ordered! My boyfriend and I will be back.

I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to walk in and get a table on a Sunday morning. We ordered the special which was pancakes with strawberries & cream cheese and an egg breakfast. The food and service were good.

Great place for breakfast (we’ve never had other meals here). It was early so not busy. Food and service were good and fast. The Apple cinnamon waffle special was amazing!! The Bissell breakfast was a lot of great food. We always visit metro when in town. Thx and we’ll be back.

Kayleigh was my server. She was so sweet and helpful. Kayleigh provided magnificent service. The food was amazing too. It was my first visit to the Metro Diner. I will for sure be back, maybe even tomorrow. I am only in Jacksonville for medical appointments.

This was my first time eating at Metro Diner and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The service was fabulous!!! Our waitress was Sarah and she was very professional and very welcoming. The food came out in a timely manner, fresh, hot, and delicious!! We will be returning.

Hashbrowns were perfectly crisp, waffle was fluffy and delightful. Might actually be one of the best sausage gravy we’ve had!

Amazing diner with a local feel. Our server, Haley, was very fast, efficient and friendly. I went here for breakfast and the food was great! I tried the daily special of strawberry shortcake waffles and they were delicious. I would highly recommend Metro Diner.

I got the protein omelet with home fries and white toast. . This was outstanding. 5 stars on my plate. My wife did the shrimp and grits. First it is not on the menu. We just saw on the reviews highly recommended that they had them. We asked the server and she said yes. On the plate there seemed to be two squares of grits that had been fried and charred on both sides. Then added shrimp and covered in what seemed to be a heavy breakfast gravy. And topped with a large amount of crumbled bacon. It was not what we were used to. Very heavy meal for the morning. The service was outstanding. The portions were big and the price was not bad. Would definitely go again but she might get my omelet.

I had the special and it was quite tasty. The food also came out rather fast.

We ordered the Thanksgiving feast as take out and it was so good! The turkey, the potatoes, stuffing and street corn were perfect and especially the pumpkin bread pudding! We loved it! And it was super convenient. The staff were wonderful! Thanks for making our Thanksgiving even more special!

Really great place to take the family if you’re looking for a classic dinner. The half fried chicken and waffles with the strawberry butter is on-point! The meatloaf was really well seasoned and juicy. Everything on the menu comes in a more than enough portion. A lot of bang for the bucks.

Service was basic, maybe my standards are misconstrued since I work at North Beach Fishcamp where service is over the top, top notch. Anyways food was 'alright' I could taste the grease or whatever oils they use to make waffles on the pan? It gave me loss of appetite. But they work hard so no disrespect to them. Sweet tea is really good! Bonus points for that. It definitely is a nice place to meet someone, or a date, just a simple diner. It's not bad enough that I wouldn't go back. I will. P.S. Belgian Waffle with Cinnamon Twist

We have group that meets at different restaurants for breakfast each Thursday. We highly recommend Metro Diner. The food is fantastic. The service is wonderful. We love when Cheyenne Muncy is our waitress. She is a great waitress and very personable individual. We would encourage everyone to schedule a day for a breakfast. The pot pies at Metro are a bomb as well.

It was okay, family diner vibe and the cost of food was reasonable. They have a bunch of delicious sounding dishes advertised on the outside of the building, unfortunately none of it was available. The variety on the menu was good, and the food was average. It was not busy and the server didn't bring us stuff we asked for but it was fine because it was at a station so we just grabbed it ourselves. We got your normal breakfast foods. The turkey sausage was a nice option for people who don't eat pork, it was delicious.

Everything was good.The pancakes could've used some eggs in the batter so it doesn't seem rubbery..The service was good and I'll definitely be back

Have eaten at a lot of Metro diner‘s, but this experience was by far the best. Great food great atmosphere and by far Cheyenne was the best waitress I believe we have ever had. She was so quick to respond with soda water with my wife spilled something on her dress.

This place is amazing,we did have to wait 20 minutes, but so worth the wait. The portion size breakfast is enough food to fill you up for an action filled day. They also have a child's menu too. The service is very fast ...I give this place 5 stars plus!!!!!!

I love coming to Metro Diner! I always have great food and great service every time. I really wanted chicken tenders for some reason so I got the Fried Chicken Benedict. OHH it was soooo good!!!!

First time visiting and the food was delicious. Hardly a wait. Very clean and organized.
