Pleasantly surprised at how great the food is here. I've previously gone to Monkey's Uncle on karaoke nights years ago and never tried the food. My family and I decided to stop in for lunch and everything we ordered was delicious. We were surprised at the variety of menu options... not just typical bar food. My husband ordered the wings and shrimp. I tried the fish and shrimp. I appreciate the option of ordering steak fries or waffle. My son ordered the burger and loved it. Got the check, and holy cow the burger and fries were only 5 bucks! What?! Definitely our new favorite place for elevated bar food. Highly recommend!

It’s a bar with good food and healthy choices. The service was really great. It was getting busy on a Wednesday night at 10:45 when we left.

The food here is surprisingly very good!!! The band was great. There is a pool table and dart boards. As well as a cigarette machine! Ha. Smoking lounge is big to hang out in. Bartenders very attentive too. If we come to Jacksonville again, we will definitely be eating here again! Photos are gyro and Philly. Waffle fries are great!

Monkeys is awesome. I'm part of the construction on 4th street and I know it's hard to like us since we periodically cut their water off but we eat there every week as a crew and they treat us well and the food is consistently delicious. They even hooked up one of our guys after he helped them with hurricane damage to a fence. No complaints, highly recommended 👌

I’ll tell you what, they did everything to make the Tavern look like the old one and I like it. It doesn’t stink of smoke either which is a plus. Love the billiards, outdoor seating and the food was great. Ordered the Nacho Platter which is a must try.

Came here for the Tuesday trivia night, which was fun and entertaining for something to do but if you want any chance of winning you are going to need a big group, we just played for fun didn’t plan on winning anything. Ordered a burger and smoked chicken bbq wrap. The food was good, tastes like your classic pub food cooked to perfection, the place was busy and packed but the service was great. They also have pool tables, golden tee, darts and games to keep you occupied. Would recommend checking out if looking for some games or a few drinks and a bite to eat.

It's a typical sports bar vibe. The food was good and we liked the whole sports atmosphere. Our server was not very good. My son, who is so easy to please, made a comment about her, so I knew my thoughts on the service were verified. We still tipped 20% on the chance she was just having a bad day. Everyone deserves a pass😉

Located about 2 blocks from the beach, I stopped in with my family to grab some food. We asked where we could sit, they said sit anywhere so we did. Nobody came to us after 20 minutes and I walked up to an employee, dark haired dude with a beard, and asked if I could grab a menu. He said a menu for what? Uh, for food my guy! This is a restaurant, right?? Got the burger, it was decent but nothing special. This place is a joke, so many better options in the area.

First time visiting. It is definitely a busy spot (at least on Saturday nights). Decided to check it out for the karaoke, which was pretty entertaining. Though I didn't order food, it seemed like the kitchen is pretty quick with orders. The bartenders were on it with assisting everyone as well. Decent amount of seating. Shared/public parking lot so not too hard finding a spot to park. It is posted no smoking or vaping inside but you can always step outside. Good vibes. Would recommend.

Omfg! If you want excellent service and an amazing burger all for a good price then this is where you need to go! My bartender was Tory(forgive me if I spelled it wrong) and he was on point all night! I never had to look for him or worry about being ignored and my burger was cooked to perfection, just the way I requested it! I will definitely be going back real soon! Awesome staff, Awesome food!

Great service! Very tasty wings with cold beer. The waffle fries and salads are delicious as well.

I'm in Jacksonville visiting my wife's family. Long time Detroit Lions fan so I went to Monkey's Uncle to watch the game today. The place was hopping with Jaguar fans (sorry they lost!) but even with it being so crowded the service and wings were great. A lot fun and I look forward to my next visit.

Great food options their daily specials are remarkably good. Servers are great and attentive and the prices are pretty reasonable. Highly recommend

This place is awesome 👌. The best service- the waitress had me at "all of them" which was the variety of High Noons and Beers available. Don't even get me started on the pork rinds - stop - those things were insanely good and those chips with blue cheese and what not - very classy and tasty - A+ all the way

It was a cool place. I enjoyed playing pool. The service was solid. The food was very okay. I got honey BBQ chicken tenders and they were dry and tough. The burgers definitely looked better.

My boyfriend and I were in Monkey's Uncle last night, Wednesday, and were waited on by the sweetest girl, Kristen P. She was so attentive and friendly. The food was really good, the beer was really cold and the atmosphere was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Great sports bar at the beach. Food is good. Try the $5 burger. Service is pretty good, too. But they get busy during Jags games. Be patient.

This place is absolutely exceptional. The manager is phenomenal, I have been ordering food from here for the past 6 years and it is amazing Every Single Time. They are fast and reliable plus a great place to have a few cocktails, play pool, and watch the game. I highly suggest their take out and hanging out while waiting on your food since the bar tender is a doll. Every individual working at Jax Beach's Monkeys Uncle is the best of the best, I have never had a bad time nor service. Check it out if you're looking for something affordable that won't disappoint.

We Uber’d this while we were in town on vacation. We got wings and burgers and everything tasted great. We tried a few different kinds of wings and The Cajun ranch and garlic Buffalo were the best! I can’t comment on service since we didn’t dine in but the food was really good. I would recommend giving this place a try!

First time in 12 years that we ever had bad service!!! Waitress couldn't be bothered to come out and take our order on the patio. And when I went inside to ask how we should order she informed me it was a shift change and she's leaving. So to bad to sad I guess is her attitude. We left and went elsewhere to eat

Fix your AC.. Looking into your kitchen your employees are one drink of water away from certain death... NFL/College football on a Saturday night, drowned out by a couple girls screaming Taylor Swift on Karaoke... Who thought Karaoke was a good idea on a Saturday night?? Love the staff, food is great. Lock it up on execution. Will be back. ♥️

I have to say how disappointed I was last night to go into a sports bar and be denied having 1 TV switched to the Celtics game while 20 others (including 2 others right next to the one we requested) had Monday Night Football on. We sat at the bar and the bartender changed it to our game only to change it back when a table behind us complained even though they could clearly see the game on the two right next to it. The bartender replied "they have been here for 2 hours". So clearly all customers are not important there. We decided to take our business elsewhere and won't be back. I work in another sports bar close by and that would never happen. Very sad!

The food is always good and I love to come here but the bartenders are always so inattentive. It’s unacceptable that at a bar I don’t get service for 10 minutes after my food is dropped off when the bar is half full. I always tip 20% at least when I’m here but from now on I will be tipping according to service.

The bartender was hands down THE BEST bartender I’ve ever seen. The longest wait I experienced was about 30 seconds. I will come back every day of my vacation. I hope he’s on shift when we return.

There’s a waitress there by the name of Grace I think they call her Flora Grace she is bright happy was just a pleasure to be around. They should clone her probably the best waitress best serve her best service I have ever had in my 60 years.

We were in town looking for a late dinner change up to seafood on a Monday night. Came across this unassuming strip mall bar with pictures of a good non pretentious burger & tried it. Gotta say was totally impressed with the creatively and execution of a menu. Besides a fabulous burger & fries, we enjoyed a unique corn rib appetizer and a turkey bacon wrap with a walnut aioli. All yummy If u are looking for a place with good food where locals go...this is your spot

I am 48 years old and never been in a bar before. We went here for Kareoke and the patrons were absolutely the friendliest! The food was plentiful too.

Went for dinner and the place was packed, still got friendly service quickly. Food was tasty and portions were great.

The atmosphere was fun, as they were doing karaoke. The four stars is because it took 24 minutes to be acknowledged and that was only because I went and asked for someone. We had the meatloaf and Philly cheese steak with fried macaroni appetizer. I wasn't thrilled with the meatloaf and mashed potatoes but the Philly steak and the macaroni bites were good.
