    JaxFit not only has the best approach around for every fitness level, but also promotes all around healthy lifestyles! I joined a few different gyms in the area, including crossfit gyms, and this gym has them beat! The gym is clean, everyone there is highly qualified, the atmosphere is supportive, and prices are VERY reasonable. Most of all, Pat taught me workout tips and tricks that I'll continue to use always. The online training app and nutrition counseling helped me reach my PR goals. Something about their method helps you really absorb the knowledge they pass on. Plus it's great supporting a well-run local family business, rather than chains (good luck resolving billing problems when you're arguing with a franchise machine). Thanks JaxFit for teaching me lifelong health and growth! Whether you're looking to help achieve a PR, pass a fitness test, or just want to transition to a healthier lifestyle, this is the best gym for it! I guess there's a reason it's called a fitness academy and not just a gym

    I hate going to the gym, but this gym is an exception. I look forward to going, and I come out feeling amazing every single time. Pat and his team know their stuff and working out here is an absolute pleasure.

    Awesome gym. Great atmosphere. The trainers and other clients are all supportive. If you see the videos and get intimated by all the weights and racks in the background, don’t worry they will write a program just for you and teach you everything. The approach towards fitness and nutrition is a perfect balance of pushing you and also holding you accountable. Pat is the owner and easy to talk to and very responsive. TJ is my trainer and he’s amazing.

    I'm still just as excited about my health journey 2 years later as I was when I left a previous review a year ago. I'm working out in semi-private sessions with Pat 3 days a week (when I'm not traveling for business) and maintaining a healthy eating regimen during normal routines as well as making better decisions when ordering out. They also provided nutrition guides to help me. I refer to them frequently when eating dinner out with clients, friends and family. Thanks Pat & Catherine! Keep up the great work guys!

    Excellent private gym! Pat is the owner and primary trainer. I was reluctant to start working out again because I’ve always disliked public gyms and never had a great experience. That all changed immediately when I met Pat. He’s incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and charismatic. If I notice something doesn’t feel right I just mention it to him and he immediately provides a specific exercise or stretch to remedy the problem. I’ve been going here just over 3 months now and have nothing but good things to say. Just try one session and see for yourself. Best personal training in Jax!

    I chose to do 6 months of semi private group training with Pat and have learned a great bit since I have started. Pat uses a variety of workouts that cater to what your goals and has greatly improved my back and knee issues. The cardio boxing classes they have on Saturday is a great stress reliever for me. Any questions I have about nutrition or fitness I can message Pat directly through the app that he uses or email him directly. I can also track my progress on the app as well. Both Pat and Catherine are awesome and are very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to improve their overall fitness goals.

    In only 5 months I had build muscle, confidence, I'm strong, my overall health has improved, Jax Fitness Academy works on small groups which makes a ton of difference when you are working out the coach pays special attention to details and is constantly helping you are in the right position/posture so you get the most of the workout without injuring yourself. They also offer different workout programs to fit every individual needs. 5 months ago I was considered overweight at 168 lbs. 5'2", I felt weak, no energy, today I'm strong, have gained resistance, sleep better, my sciatica pain is gone, I am eating healthy, I'm a strong 149 Lbs. Still going!

    I've been training at Jax Fitness Academy for the past 8 months and have been completely thrilled with my results. I've gained 15 pounds of pure muscle since I joined. I still have 5 more to gain to meet my goal and I still maintain a 30" waist. All of the trainers are very knowledgable in the health and fitness vertical and provide helpful advice in regard to my eating habits, training routines, and recovery. It's a very friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere as well. I highly recommend joining JFA if you are serious about your health and fitness. IT WORKS!

    If you know you have any sort of fitness goal (lose/gain weight, get jacked, increase your cardio conditioning, or just to avoid injury or look good in a suit), JaxFit is going to be the most effective way to have yourself heard, develop a plan to get there, and then (most importantly) help you hold yourself accountable to actually doing it. the gym itself has a healthy mixture of complete noobs, elite-level athletes, and everything in between (plus whatever *gestures wildly* I am), and an experienced staff from different walks/perspectives of life that are there to not only push you, but *actually* make sure your form is good so you don’t hurt yourself, and each exercise does what it’s intended to do. Getting fit requires hard work and time - there’s no shortcut around it. JaxFit is the superior way to outsource everything involved other than the weights going up and down and the food going in and out, so that you are not wasting either of those things. Highly, highly recommend.

    If you are serious about wanting to reach your fitness goals, then I strongly recommend joining the Jax Fit family! They literally have something for everyone. If you want to lose weight but can't get to the gym - they have virtual classes available online. If you want a personal trainer but think it's too expensive - they use a shared trainer concept so it's actually affordable. If you are not sure what to eat - they offer a nutrition plan that works. Coach Pat is invested in your health and he won't lie to you. He gives you all the tools you need and all you have to do is show up (consistently)! BTW, I absolutely adore the afternoon trainers, Sabrina and Chase! They are so fun and it feels like we have been friends for a while even though I've only been going to JFA for about 5 months. The other gym-goers that I've met are equally as awesome! Everyone is so nice and we encourage each other. I am also happy to report that I've made significant improvement in the mobility of my shoulder and I've lost 30 pounds so far! My energy levels are way up and I actually look forward to working out now! I'm excited to continue this journey and I couldn't have picked a better group of people to spend time with three days a week. TLDR: Join Jax Fit Academy - its the best decision you'll ever make for yourself.

    My son is a high school athlete who does a weekly session with his team over Zoom (we are in the Philadelphia area). What Pat does over Zoom is unbelievable - he somehow demonstrates the routine while watching 25 kids on a screen and encourages them and corrects form errors constantly in real time. The results my son saw in about 2 months starting while he was in 8th grade were amazing. Super-responsive to questions via email and always offering more...If I lived in Jax I'd join, but at the minimum I think about flying down there just to check out what this place looks like in person.

    This is exactly what I needed my whole life! Before joining, I knew nothing about what to eat or how to work out to see results. After my first month with Jacksonville Fitness Academy, I started seeing my body take shape. My energy levels have increased, I feel more confident, and I am excited for what I will look like a year from now. Huge thanks for Chase, Pat, Sabrina, and Shawn for actually caring about my health and strength gains.

    This place is amazing! I loved every session I had with Patrick. He made me feel comfortable being around fitness equipment. I avoided gyms because I was afraid of being made fun of but here I felt encouraged and supported. If I lived closer I would absolutely keep going. They don’t mess around with fitness and goals. They you without straining you and listen to every concern. If you are looking for small group/private training check them out! Tons of options!

    My journey began in January of 2023 with two training sessions a week, during my off days I would try to put in some cardio with jogging, walking or rowing. 8 months later I am stronger with more muscle definition, I’ve lost 9 pounds of body fat and trimmed down my waist. I have more energy and more discipline thanks to coach Pat.

    Pat and Catherine are great! I’ve had a personal trainer in the past and 6 months worth of that compared to 2-3 months worth of consistently going to JaxFit; the difference is crazy! You show up and they work you and through everything, they absolutely know what they’re doing

    Been coming to Jacksonville Fitness Academy for several months. Just off SR13 and San Jose Place, it is very conveniently located between home and work. Pat and Catherine (owners) and Sabrina are personable, knowledgeable, and dedicated fitness professionals. They also help me understand and improve my eating habits. You can probably tell I'm a fan!
