This is a hidden gem! The food here is excellent! Home made breads and rolls! We ordered the special, which was a roast beef sandwich with tomatoes, cheese, lettuce and some special sauces! Best roast beef sandwich I've had. They have a large selection of different coffees. The coffee was served hot and delicious! The menu is limited, but all excellent choices! It's a small place, but it was packed with a constant flow of people. The only downside was that service getting the food was a little slow. I definitely recommend trying this place! It was clean and the people working were friendly.

Whoever thought of the idea to put kimchi in a breakfast sandwich is a GENIUS. It made the breakfast sandwich 10x better. Food was so fresh and delicious. A great place to get breakfast and baked goods! The store is so cute inside and sells products other than food. Service was quick and friendly!

This place was so good, I went back again the next day. The breakfast sandwich with sourdough bread was amazing. The brown butter matcha cookie was great.

So amazing and delicious and BEAUTIFUL. You can see the effort put into every aspect of the store. Even the little table markers have hand drawn pictures on them. The pastries are beautiful and so tasty. Every person I spoke to was kind and helpful. If every place in Jacksonville was like this one, it would be a much more fun city!

I would be a regular at this place if I lived closer. I got the Cuban and omg I have been thinking about this sandwich ever since. I am hoping I can go back today and they still have it ! Amazing customer service and always busy in a good way! Update: so I did go back no Cuban but got a BLT which was really good. I had my 12 week puppy with me in a hammock not touching the ground or anything because I know I needed to sit outside with him but he is also too young to touch the ground and I couldn’t leave him outside by himself So when I ordered I was asked if that was a service dog and I explained no he is too young and it seemed like it was an issue but I didn’t even get asked if I was sitting outside or inside? I just found that weird

I love this bakery. Every time I'm in Jacksonville, I have to visit to see what baked good they are feature that day. Everything is baked fresh and I love the seasonal baked good they have. The first time I visited i had the granola and I purchase a focaccia bread. It was delicious. This time I had the Vegan Pesto sandwich and the seasonal galette. The leeks, brussel sprouts, onions and gruyere cheese galette was amazing. I was sunrise how tender the brussels were. It was a great flavor combination. The vegan pesto sandwich was good. I would have like the bread toasted. I think it would elevate the sandwich. The staff is very friendly. This is a place us have to visit. You won't be disappointed.

We ended up here by chance and what a sweet treat! The place itself is quaint and adorable. The young ladies are very sweet and kind and will help you cheerfully make a choice from their menu. I ordered the local greens with their cilantro mojo dressing and I LOVED that dressing. It was so good! Local mushroom pie with goat cheese was also very good. Highly recommend this place! Oh and almost forgot to share, I typically get the same type of coffee anywhere I go, cold or hot latte with coconut milk and vanilla. This was by far the best I’ve had! Will be back here for sure.

Nice little spot in Historic Springfield. I came to grab a quick to go lunch and coffee. It was pretty busy but the service was pretty quick. I ordered their pimento BLT and an americano. The BLT was outstanding. The bread was perfectly toasted and the bacon nice and crispy. The pimento took it to another level though. Very good. The coffee was also perfectly done with a little cream and sugar. The place itself is very cute. I love the brick wall and decor. It isn’t a big place which makes it a bit tough to maneuver a stroller, but other than that I was impressed. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

It's such a cool little place with the vibe to match. The pro is: they bake everything fresh, based on what they receive from their local suppliers. Con [for me] their menu changes daily, so if you like something, it might not be there the next day. If you can catch the pistachio muffin, GET IT!! I'm not into coffee, so no opinion there. I've only had their muffins and have enjoyed each of them.

I love the fruit galettes here. And, the service is great and the employees are very friendly! I feel like I'm somewhere special when I'm there. You can pick up an interesting bottle of wine or some other culinary delight you might not find elsewhere.

This is a very fine bakery and brunch place! They are a small shop, but they never bored me! Every week they come up with new dissents, and each one is different and taste excellent. Their sandwich is my husband’s favorite. Absolutely delicious! The coffee is a must try too!

1748 Bakehouse is my favorite spot to go to in town! I began going here when I was 9 months pregnant, often multiple times a week up through my parental leave period (and I still go). Food and coffee - everything is so delicious here. Each thing you try will be seasoned, flavored, cooked, or baked almost perfectly. They have a pastry case with different baked goods each day, a permanent menu with sandwiches, salads, and a few other items. Their quiches are outstanding, often times they have a more custard-like texture and they’re AMAZING, so delicious. I highly recommend any quiche, the Sourdough Panzanella salad, Pimento BLT, any galette! They serve Pura Bean coffee and make all of their coffee syrups from scratch. I often get an Iced Mocha with almond milk and the mocha sauce is spot on! Service - the service is always excellent here. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating! Atmosphere - such a perfect atmosphere. They have a little bodega with some house-made items, wine, honey, and kitchen gifts. Little touches that make it welcoming and quaint. Always clean. I love the changing table in the bathroom - it’s soft, comfortable, safe, and clean for the baby. My only qualms are that it could be in a bigger space with more seating; I’m also not fond of the on-street parking but that’s a nightmare for any place with on-street parking. You must try this place if you haven’t already!

The cutest place for breakfast and coffee! Their homemade coffee syrups are delicious in your latte, and they use fresh ingredients so everyday they have new pastries to try. The staff was friendly and cheerful, adding to the atmosphere. Would love to study or catch up with a friend here!

Very nice spot to read, relax or catch up on some work. Definitely need to get a coffee, they have options if you don't want standard drip. I'm a huge grilled cheese guy. I order it in a lot of different places and I ordered it here and it's top 2 of my life. Very easily. Of all places I go, my number 1. They use local ingredients and local dairy too which is a plus

Probably hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had in all of my travels. I'd love to be able to replicate it at home. Stumbled on this place after an all nighter working in the port. Coffee isn't bad either.

Happy mistake this morning looking for breakfast joints in an unfamiliar area of town I'll be working for a few weeks. Thinking I had directions for Metro Diner, yet I wind up here. Where am I? If my taste buds serve me correctly, I think it's fair to say I'm somewhere in the bordeaux region of France. The flakey pastry filled with fresh crispy veggies cooked to perfection; with spices that send you reeling back to the old country. The goat cheese was definitely imported. If only they served wine to chase this meal fit for a five star palette down with. I'd say this place has got to be one of the eight great wonders in Jacksonville. I've been here a half hour and the most beautiful people keep walking in and out of the door. Maybe, I died and went to heaven~!! Well done! Well done!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very tasty food. Menu varies daily and they offer good options. Nothing boring. No generic menu. Love the decor. I refer a lot of people and visiting family from out of town loved the food and atmosphere. The ladies, serving behind the counter are always friendly and willing to help. Owner has never been positive when I’ve seen her or even sat by her in the café. First time sitting by her, I was not aware she was the owner until someone pointed that out later. Can’t get her to even crack a smile. She’s quite unfriendly. (No excuse.) But her family-owned Cafe and employees make up for her cold demeanor.

There is a reason this place is so highly rated. It's really that good. Usually I get the breakfast sandwich which is the best in the city. But today I had lunch with my mom cafe style on the sidewalk. Springfield is such a cool neighborhood and gets better every year. Anyway I had the pimento BLT which was the best BLT in town too I'll go ahead and proclaim. Highly recommend.

What a cute place! All the employees here are so sweet and accommodating, even after I ordered at the wrong place in line (twice! 😬) The baked good are fantastic, and the sourdough breakfast sandwich is to die for. Cuban coffee is a must order, and I was able to make my own Honey Vanilla iced latte with oat milk. We love a great local small business 💜 Definitely a must visit while in JAX!
