The Blue Trail begins just beyond this area. This is the shortest of the three trails in the Preserve. It boasts a small dock for fishing in the creek/marsh. All trails are blazed. In some places the Yellow Trail is marked by metallic reflectors in trees. In other places one can almost lose the trail completely. Because the perimeter of the preserve so closely hugs the marsh, several sections were almost completely flooded out. The Red Trail cuts across the Yellow Trail in several places acting as shortcut. Betz Tiger Point Preserve is located just to the north of Pumpkin Hill Preserve on the northeast side of Jacksonville, across Clapboard Creek from Black Hammock Island. There are several signs, a pavilion with picnic benches, trash cans, and a restroom nearby.

By far, this is one the most beautiful and well maintained parks in Duval County! Comprising the northernmost portion of a peninsula surrounded by tidal marshes, this park boasts natural beauty, wildlife viewing, scenic vistas, clean air and quiet peacefulness. It is also fully developed and designed for physically handicapped residents to enjoy easy access at several gorgeous locations. Ample covered picnic areas, bathrooms, hiking & biking trails and a place to launch kayaks make this place an ideal destination for many types of visitors. And the fact that it's all free is truly wonderful. THANK YOU City of Jacksonville!

Great place for a hike, picnic & some fishing. I appreciated that they have trash bags available for people to pack their trash out, although disappointed at the amount of entitled, disrespectful buttheads that just leave their trash laying around. Many of the trails provide shade during the heat of the day. Watch for wildlife, spiders and spider webs (at head height), bugs and ticks. Nice trails for dogs (although note tick comment above). Note Google directions are not quite right for the entrance here, the entrance is beyond the kayak launch to the left. Nice pier for fishing. More fishing off the blue trail. Toilets available. Shelter with picnic tables available. Handicap as accessible to fishing pier and shelter.

While we haven’t explored Betz-Tiger Point Preserve yet, it does include one of the 7 Creeks Trailheads. Nice 7 mile Connecting Trail that connects the parks and preserves in the 7 Creeks Recreation Area. We’re slowly learning the trail system out there. Follow us on YouTube at “PFAM5” for more!

Nov 1st 2021 I went out to Betz Tiger Point Preserve. All the way down to Tiger Point stopped at the double picnic tables that were covered. And a large outside grill. With a view that was worth the 15mph drive. With the cooler temps its easier to get out more. This is truly a hidden gem in Jax/Fl

Great place to see nature. First time in a long time here. Edward's creek has handicap parking and nice little trail & pier. Great for picnics and fishing. Seen peacock, little crabs, blue bird, hawk. Seen two cute little hogs, but couldn't get a pic before they went into woods. Plenty of trails and parking. Luckily we had plenty of bug spray as there are many mosquitos along blue pond trail. Other than that it was nice walking & having a picnic here. Seen people fishing along the pier & kayaking. I wouldn't recommend the restrooms for kids or women unless you have to go. The porter potty at edwards creek was better looking that the others.

This is one of the most interesting areas of Jacksonville that most people know very little about. There are 2 trail loops that offer distinctly different views. One loop runs through the forest and the other along the coast. There is a gathering area at the Pumpkin Hill Creek day use area as well as one at the Edward's Creek day use area.

I love it here! It’s always clean, and there are miles of trails to explore. You can’t beat the breeze off the water on a hot Florida afternoon. The trails are nicely maintained.

This a beautiful park managed by Jacksonville Parks and Recreation. The ecosystems the trails traverse showcase the wonder of the estuary systems of North Florida. There are great views and photography opportunities throughout the park.

There’s only a couple docs here to fish off of. But you could walk some trails and find some fishing holes. Or just walk the trails for hiking purposes. Beautiful outdoor views.

Great walking trail. Very secluded and amazing views of the river and wildlife. Perfect for fishing or just a fun hike. On our trip we saw a large turtle on the trail and plenty of other critters. Bug spray and sunscreen are a must but definitely worth going out of your way.

Nice area with lots of trails, picnic areas and benches. The new Edwards Creek day-use area is handicap friendly and have a nice water overlook.
