Our second trip for a beautiful hike on the trails was even better than our first trip. This really is gem of a place to enjoy a wooded hike. There was live music & food vendors on site yesterday for the First Coast Plein Air Painters group. Image attached of People’s choice painting. The artist painted this in 5 hours. Several beautiful families enjoyed the grounds for professional photos on Mother’s Day.

Dazzling Nights Jacksonville was not worth the price or time. Best was the small section of laser lights.

The vibe of this place has changed in a negative manner. Seems like everything is being geared towards eventual monetization for entry. Not to mention the crowd that seems to frequent it anymore can be creepy. Feels safer to walk the loop at Ed Austin up the street. It's unfortunate because we prefer dirt over concrete but not if it's jeopardizes our safety in any way.

Went for the Xmas lights. Was a decent stroll thru the lights rubber mats were on the multch making wheelchairs mobile. Parking to drop the wheelchair and off to the remote park for a bus was semiorganized but checking tickets before getting on bus caused a 30 min delay.

It's a great place for shady afternoons when it's really hot. The Arboretum is beautiful and we love it! Great place to walk a dog! Please support them and don't be a freeloader. A yearly subscription is a bargain!

Came here on 1/25/24 at 5:45pm and the gates to the park was closed. The hrs online says they close at 7pm. I waisted gas driving here... please update the hrs online if they are not correct.

THEY FINALLY DID IT!!!!!! TRASH HEAP TURNED MONEY SCHEME FOR JACKSONVILLE CASINO. BEST BET and I'm sure other " investors's." Now charge per person for admission. I've been going here since before it had a name.haha and now look at it. All fenced up. They killed all the animals. Forced them out of their homes. This place started as a garbage fill. Trust me I've done my research and tilled the land myself many times. Endangered animals forced from their burrows and now you pay for it. It was free. Completely free. wow.

Sun april 16, 2023 Nice place for families, pets, events, picnics, field trips, walking on trails. No bike riding on certain trails. I think they do a good job keeping up with park mostly. Go early for parking. Been going here for 10 yrs now and it has grown. They have bowls and water stand for pets. A $3 per person admission box when entering, although can easily be missed. A donation box to help fund the park with their ongoing updates & preservation. Info about the park before going in. They have little info about the plants, park, trees etc. all around the trails. Some animals we have captured or seen are garden spiders, lizards, skinks, butterflies, tortoises, turtles, armadillos, raccoons, gators by the pond, various birds and bugs, cat, frogs, dragon flies etc. Hope they continue on preserving the park. Few of our favorite trails are rosemary and sand ridge. The pond is nice just beware of alligators may be there. Plenty of benches and little look outs on trails.

Went for the Christmas lights. I paid for the premium package for 2. Half of everything wasn't working, snow area, including photographer and his camera, computer.

This is one of my favorite places to visit in Jacksonville. There's a picnic area. The lake loop which is takes you around the lake 🙃 And several walking trails off of the lake.

Love this place- but note - Google maps says it closed at 7 when They really close at 5 pm …. 🙈 we were asked to leave. They were nice but it would have saved me a trip if their times were right.

I'm not paying for nature. There's tons of free trails all over Jacksonville.
