I picked this place to eat for our last night here. We waited 40 minutes to be seated outside. It was super busy and crowded. I got the salmon and my boyfriend got the fresh catch. We got the fried oysters as an appetizer. Our waitress told us the kitchen was super backed up and that she's put the whole order in at once. It didn't take long at all, maybe 10 minutes later, the appetizer came out. Before I could get a bite, another lady brought us our food. I felt kind of rushed to be honest. It didn't seem like the kitchen was backed up at all. Food wise, the salmon was pretty good, the cherry sauce was interesting. My boyfriends fish was good as well. The oysters just tasted like fried breading, I couldn't taste the oysters at all. After tip and everything, we walked out spending $120. The food was okay, the service was mediocre. But, I left feeling sort of... "meh"? Was it worth it? I don't really know. It didn't "wow" me enough to come back and spend that kind of money. Plenty of other places that are delicious to try!

Wonderful dinning experience from start to finish. Interior of the restaurant has a great atmosphere and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. We ordered a dozen oysters and clam chowder for starters which were delicious and very fresh. I had the mussels in cider which were perfectly prepared and the broth was delicious. Recommend the option of adding the linguine, made for a very filling meal. The shepherds pie and Irish Cuban were both very well prepared and presented. Great assortment of Irish beer on tap and a good line up of mixed drinks as well. Look forward to dinning here again.

We can start off right at the entrance. The staff was professional and inviting. While we were waiting for our seat, the bartender was creating some of the most elaborate drinks. The half and half drink was just spectacular. The ambiance and atmosphere was inviting as well. Our dinner portions were perfect. The Rubens were spot on and delicious. Thank you for adding to our experience in St. Augustine.

To begin my review, I asked to be seated on the upstairs veranda and was told I could not and he actually said “I have just the place for you” and proceeded to seat me at understandably a table for two (I was alone). The table was in my opinion located at the absolute worst location in the building for a pleasant experience. I felt as if I was hidden from everyone else. My waiter was polite and told me about all the specials and added that in addition to the appetizer list they also served baked oysters. Slightly over priced but also understandable in a tourist area. He was very polite and informed me multiple times on the status of my order. The garnishment on my cocktail was not as fresh as I’d like but it wasn’t half rotted either. I wasn’t given a napkin for my stems and peels. The food; top tier. This may be the best actual food I’ve had in all of St Augustine. I had the baked oysters Meehan followed by the grilled Salmon with garlic French beans and I got the cheese cake dessert and it was kitchen made not box ordered my compliments to the chef for sure. All in all I definitely give this place 5 stars, they just need to work on their seating and personal skills a bit.

This place was recommended by a family member who visited here. We arrived in St. Augustine just a couple of hours before walking over. We were seated outside right away. Our server was pleasant and gave us spot on recommendations. Our dinner consisted of two hot bowls of the house clam chowder, a shared iceberg wedge salad, corned beef and cabbage, and chicken curry. Everything was delicious, our service was fantastic, and the view was beautiful. 🙂

We were here on Sunday 11/28/22 for an early dinner before getting back home. The atmosphere is just fantastic. We sat outside and it was the best decision we made. Now for the holidays the city is just full of lights and it is a unique experience. Our waitress was nothing but attentive and the food didn’t take long to arrive. We got the reuben rolls to share and it was delicious as well as the Island Paddy Burger and The Reuben Sandwich, and the fries that come with it were so good! The cheesecake was different from anything I have had before but it was very good!

We came here on one of the busiest days of the year, the Saturday after thanksgiving. Everyone was coming to see the night of lights, and we knew finding dinner was going to be hard so we put our names on the list around 5. They told us 1 hour which was expected. The table was ready in about 25 minutes! The food was delicious. Between our party of 4, we had Ruben rolls, shepherds pie, bangers and mash, Meehan's meatloaf, fish and chips, and Jameson bread pudding. I can say that every singe dish was amazing. I don't think I've ever had such good shepherds pie, and the bread pudding was so good!! Everyone at my party enjoyed their dinners and we all agreed it was well above we expected because they were so busy. The only negative thing I have to say is the tables inside are a little cramped and I noticed people were having trouble getting around. But I understand its because the building is so small and there are so many people. I cannot tell you enough to go try this place out!! By far the best restaurant in St. Augustine!

Went in by luck, and what a deligh, raw oysters plate fresh outstanding, but the true winter was the Buffalo sauce beer batter Oysters. They were that DIVINE we ordered a second round, as for the service outstanding and friendly

Great Irish bub with classic Irish/British dishes such as Fish and Chips and Bangers and Mash. They also have good seafood dishes like Bouillabaisse and Catch of the day. Huge Irish whiskey selection and a impressive beer selection as well. The food was cooked well and came out piping hot and on time. A few hiccups by the server but nothing that was not corrected (Free coconut cream cheese dessert) Great vibe an an excellent location overlooking the water.

I have never experienced food so good that I go back again within a week! Hands down the best clam chowder I have ever had and the smoky fish dip was so good. The second visit got bangers & mash along with dessert and again my mind was blown with how everything tasted so good. Made my trip to st Augustine all the better !

Service was rarher slow but the food tasted good. The batter on the fish was crispy, flavorful, and the fish was well cooked. The shrimp and grits was a huge portion with 10 large shrimp, tasty grits and is really garlicky - be aware when taking this home as leftovers as the whiff really packs a punch if feeling a tad fragile the morning after, but it sure does taste good! They have a good selection of drinks and cocktails but the wait time for their arrival was reeeaaaalllly long.

Meecham's is very popular. Expect a wait. It's worth it. For lunch we shared a wedge salad -- not exactly traditional but delicious nonetheless -- and a Reuben sandwich -- likewise delicious. The ambiance makes the food taste even better. THIS REVIEW IS NOT OF AN HOTEL. JUST A RESTAURANT.

Perfect ambiance and the food is excellent. We ordered a Reuben that was one of the best I've had loaded with pastrami. We also had Buffalo oysters, Mac n cheese and the chips. All delicious! The fire pits outside are so cozy on a chily day. The service was excellent.

Oh...my...gosh...Becky! Look at those chips!! We went on a VERY busy day and had to wait a bit to get seated but it was worth the wait! The waiter and manager were so quick and helpful to make sure everything was good and trust me...it was. The burger I had was so juicy and my wife had the fish and chips which were perfect. This was our second visit as it is definitely a must do in St Augustine!

New Year’s Eve and we were seated without a wait, received drinks almost immediately, appetizer was quick and the food came out about 10-15 minutes after the app. Everything was hot and delicious. Perfect experience! Our waitress (Shayley) was attentive, got our complicated order perfect, and so polite! Highly recommend.

I have come to this establishment for many years, but I believe it's named differently now. My group of girlfriends stopped here for a nightcap. I had a cosmopolitan which was very yummy. One if my friends had the Irish cream and it was great! I also had their key lime pie dessert. The dessert came with an elegant presentation totally different than a regular piece of pie. It was so rich and delicious!!

Review for restaurant only: Had the reuben rolls with an ice cold draft Guinness. Both very good. Also ordered a bowl of the clam chowder. Unfortunately, it was cold the first attempt, served just after I started on my reuben rolls the second time so cold again. I would not have been so upset had I not taken great pains to fully express my expectations in advance of the soup fiasco.

We always enjoy going here whenever we're in the area! The food is awesome, my lady and I really enjoyed our meals the past two times we went. The service is friendly and accommodating. Food is moderately priced for the heart of St. Augustine and the ambiance is tasteful and delightful. Make it a point to visit this fine establishment when you're in town!

This place is over priced for the quality, $9 for a cider, don't mind almost $20 for a Sheppard pie if it's a good one this one is mediocre and small, clam chowder is great. Very busy, failure to ever text when our table was available so we ate our overpriced meal at the bar. As Irish restaurants go this one is not great for food but has a good bar scene going.

We had to try the oyster flight here & it was delicious. The inside reminded me of a pub we use to frequent in Germany. We ordered the flight but the rock oysters were unavailable. We enjoyed the 3 sets we did try. We also grabbed the Mac & cheese. Which was a slightly runny cheese sauce & a slightly more ap dente pasta but overall really good flavor. I ordered a Irish creme that's made in house. So very good. Overall good experience.

Had a wonderful lunch today. This was my second time eating here and today was even better than the first time. I had the catch of the day which was Mahi mahi, fried on a sandwich. The fish was perfectly cooked and the breading was light and crispy. Had French fries as our appetizer and they were very good as well.

I had such a wonderful time here at this restaurant with my friend! We did have to wait a while but it is worth the wait! You get this really good chill vibes hanging out with friends. We ordered these oysters and they are amazing and I wish I had more. We ordered the fish and chips and it was done excellent, with the sauces that go with it tasting great. The service was wonderful! A great place to eat for family and friends.

We were sightseeing across the street and met up with all our friends for lunch on the upstairs balcony facing water. It was too hot and we were told there is a patio downstairs in the back. There were 12 of us and all the little tables were taken except for 1. We sat at a long table in the walkway. None of us noticed the sign that says no food service at that table. So it was 10 minutes before a waitress came over to tell us we can't order food there. We had to split our group in 2's and 3s and wait for tables to open so we could order food. The waitress was snappy and it took a long time to even order our drinks at the bar. We just got an appetizer and left to explore St. George Street and find another place to eat lunch. Our friends, that were able to get a table by the stage were still waiting for their drinks when we left. There were 2 waitresses/bartenders and it was busy, so I wish they had more staff to handle that area for smoother service. It's a beautiful restaurant and from what I can see from other reviews they serve good food. Just wish we had a better experience and a chance to try it. We loved St. Augustine, so maybe if we ever make it back to the East coast we will give it another try🙂

Great food and atmosphere. Live band. Plenty of seating inside upstairs downstairs and outside. Beautiful views all around. Highly recommend their shepherd pie, the Reuben rolls were amazing, and the bread pudding hit the spot. Hands down the best Irish creme I've ever had. Parking is hard. Definitely recommend the lots in the alley behind the entrance. Walking distance to lots of activities. Waitress and staff were very accommodating and Interactive.

I went on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 for lunch and had a great experience! Friendly host, quick service, tasty food, everything was great. All the food came out hot and tasted fresh! I highly recommend the drunken clams IF YOU LOVE GARLIC. The Sheppards Pie was very good as well. Oh and whatever sauce is on the plate with the Reubens rolls was amazing!

We had lunch there. Seated right away. Took a long time to get something to drink. 20 minutes. Ordered Shepherds pie, and Mahi sandwich, not much fish on it, but better than Shepherds pie, which was spicy. Their bread pudding I ordered to go took 30 minutes to get bc they forgot about it. And after we finished I had to track down the server to get our bill. Not the best time. Would not recommend.

Good spot. Good drinks. Good food. Appetizers & soups were delicious. We had fried oysters, clam chowder, soup of the day, all were delicious. Fish & chips were really good. Bacon cheeseburger was good, but the bacon was thick & hard, so it made it difficult to eat. No photos of our actual meals unfortunately

It was our first time in St August. At the hotel we asked the receptionist about the place to visit and the guy recommended us Meehan’s bar. First we decided to take a table outside. There are many beautiful Christmas decorations! We took a table with fire pit, it was so cozy. But then it started to rain heavily and we asked the waiter to go inside. The waiter found the table in the bar very fast and continued our evening sitting in the warm and DRY place listening to live music! Amazing.

It was very busy day because it was new years but even though we had to wait, it was very fast. The server was amazing and super attentive with the table. I got the Cork City Curry and it was the best curry I ever had. So flavorful and aromatic. Truly the best food. I would come again and try more dishes on a day that is not a holiday.
