AMAZING RESTAURANT!!! The food is extremely high quality, very tasty and the service is great! We are so happy that we found this place spontaneously, as we are only in Jacksonville for a couple days. You should make a reservation though, it’s usually very busy (which isn’t surprising for such a good restaurant). If we ever come back to Jacksonville you can definitely find us here! :)

My friend and I wanted to go out to eat and we had been eyeing this place for a while. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a some drinks and shared the appetizers because they were pretty big. The duck in lentils was amazing and my friends lamb and pasta thing was pretty good. For dessert I had some earl gray tea with cream and sure and we split a few macaroons that were delicious!! Definitely coming back!!

Okay let me say I love it here. Made a reservation but they were able to seat us early. Service was A1 from start to finish. Romantic atmosphere perfect for a date night. Pricey but quality 👌🏽 is worth it.

We had a lovely dinner at Orsay!! Super cordial server. Very personable. We had an escargot with mushrooms. Beef Stroganoff-modified for gluten-free. With an Add on of Maine Lobster Claw and tail meat. Creme Brule for dessert. Yum.

If you're hesitant, don't be! Orsay is slice of French heaven. From the start of their wonderful cocktails and mocktails by the wonder maker April! To the delicious appetizers... literally all of them. Seriously, eat them all. Their food has become a craving! I haven't had a meal I haven't loved. Don't even get me started on desserts too! Make sure you save room.

One of the best restaurants in the Jacksonville area for happy hour! Everything we had was delicious and the service was spot on. We enjoyed sitting at a table in the lounge while choosing from a great $10 cocktail menu and from many delicious small plates. We opted to share mussels, fries, roasted oysters, potato croquettes, lobster Mac n cheese, and escargot. Must say, the escargot with mushrooms, garlic, lemon and butter on top of a baguette was all our favorite. So tender and the flavor popped! The roaster oysters were good but not memorable and the Mac and cheese were as tasty but really no lobster in it. Also popping was the potato croquettes.. and those alone I will be returning for! We left so full and so so happy. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

I went there for the first time this evening. My server, Lauren C was absolutely fantastic! I told her I already looked up the menu online and wanted to start with the escargots. She got my drink and put in the order for my appetizer. Once she came back I told her I couldn't decide between (4) entrees. I asked for her advice on which she'd prefer and Lauren said the pan roasted fish. Well I thanked her so much and it was definitely a great choice. The fish was juicy and roasted perfectly and the lobster roe butter was to die for. I told Lauren I wanted a cup of it to dip my fish in. She also brought nice warm hard on the outside and soft in the middle bread which was hot enough to let the butter melt on it. Finally for dessert I had the baked Alaska with a raspberry sorbet and hot chocolate sauce that was delicious and melted in my mouth. I also brought home a petit four tower. Everything I had from beginning to end was delicious, filled with flavor and definitely worth the price! If you want to have a great meal, excellent service and an overall experience you won't soon forget, visit this restaurant but don't forget to make a reservation because they are usually quite busy.

We had a great time here for dinner and will be back. Our server Tony was very helpful going through the menu. We ordered a good number of things and they were all fantastic. Escargot was amazing, oysters very good, entrees great, lots of drinks and food options. Good value and recommended

Had a wonderful experience for our anniversary. They were friendly from beginning to end. They brought out beautiful looking food and it was good. Is this the best food i ever had? No. Was it a great meal and did we have a good time? Yes, absolutely.

A nice upscale restaurant with a vegan menu available. All the food and service was very great. The vegan vegetable shepherds pie, while good, seemed a little lacking. It seemed like more of a side dish of vegetables than an entree. The terrine was phenomenal.

Loved the bar and drinks!!! The food was eh, we had chef special linguine with mushrooms and I added scallops (the scallops were AMAZING) Next was steak frites and the steak was mediocre and not to temp. The fries were delicious though. Appetizer we had escargot and they were good but not anything I would want to come back for. For the price of this restaurant I was expecting food that made me want to come back. I would go back for the bar though!

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner and we were beyond impressed. Out of all of the fine dining establishments we have been to Orsay’s food has been the best. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly.

Best birthday EVER! It was my birthday today, and the first time my husband and I went to Orsay. First off, our server, Tony, was fabulous! He was knowledgeable, sweet, and made our experience great. I will also say that he timed our courses amazingly. We have a terrible habit of eating our food pretty quickly, like within 5-10 minutes, but despite that, Tony made sure our table was reset and fresh through each course, and we had 3-4 courses. All the other staff were great as well! The fromage and cured meats were delicious. The tomato tartare and smoked trout spread went beautifully together. The lamb sirloin? Absolutely wonderful! The lobster pot pie? Amazing! We also got a side of lobster Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Both were top notch. Tony brought me out a honey and lavender macaron for my birthday, and it was so good, that I had to order some to-go. First time I had a macaron and it was so good! Overall, I’d give this place 20 stars! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!! We will be back!

Fine dining with every meal crafted very well. A bit overpriced for some of the options but overall good. The mushroom sandwich was the best meal I had there and would be the recommendation.

My husband and I decided to finally try Orsay for happy hour. They asked if we were celebrating anything in particular and we told the hostess it was our anniversary. Shortly after we sat down, they brought over complimentary champagne. Great list of wine, beer and cocktails to choose from with unique names like hey jealousy and Czech please! We tried several items from the small bites menu, all were delicious. My favorite was the potato croquettes. I did expect the escargot to have more flavor, I feel like I’ve had better. The creme brûlée was the star for me! Easily the best I’ve had! Overall, a pleasant experience and we hope to go back soon to try their dinner menu.

I enjoyed a very good birthday dinner at Orsay. The French Mistake was a smooth drink, the oysters were some of the best I've had in Jacksonville, and the cassoulet is always my go to entree.

Decided to come here for my 10 year anniversary with my partner, and I’m sad to say our Orsay experience was unremarkable. For the exorbitant price of the experience I could have received better food and service elsewhere. Sadly, our server was inattentive (where did you go my guy?). The onion soup was watery (the cheese was good though). The cocktails were just okay. The entrees were good- but the flavors in mine weren’t something special. It was standard “fancy” fare. I don’t feel like I got 155 dollars worth for the overall experience. All in all, if you’re looking to spend good money on an okay experience you could try Orsay, Or- go somewhere else.

REALLY DISAPPOINTING! We made a reservation weeks ago on Open Table to have dinner at Orsay last night (7/2) to celebrate my son's 29th birthday. When we got to the restaurant it was closed and apparently will not re-open until 7/8. No one from the restaurant contacted us to inform us they were closed. This is an excellent restaurant and realize this is a difficult time but still inexcusable we were not contacted. Not fun to have to change plans and scramble to find another restaurant at the last minute.

Wow. I was floored by my experience here. Every aspect of the experience was top-tier. Sitting at the bar, the bartenders were extremely friendly, were happy to recommend both drink and food recommendations. The drinks, marvelous. The food on the other hand, was an otherworldly experience! Both of the scallop dishes I tried were beyond delicious, you could tell how fresh the ingredients were, melt in your both delicious. Then there was the lobster pot pie, which unexpectedly was deconstructed, but so good, the delicate flavors were harmoniously when eaten together but still with enough umph to shine on their own. I absolutely recommend this place and cannot wait to be in Jacksonville again to go back.

Only came here for the bar, so I can't review what they have food-wise. Now the bar, Amy was our bartender, and by golly, she knew her stuff. From the menued cocktails, to tikis, to drinks based on flavour profile, Amy had provided quality beverages.

Absolutely incredible! The flavors were out of this world and service was beyond fantastic! We appreciated them taking care of my dad on his birthday, and it made his day that much more special. Thank you to the staff at Orsay! We will definitely be back! Pictures reflect the beef stroganoff, steak and eggs, mussels and shrimp cocktail, shrimp and grits, and biscuit and gravy side. Drinks we got were the Bloody Mary (which my dad said was the best he has ever had) and we also got sangria which was super delicious. Highly recommend!!

Orsay never fails. Always a 5 star experience. I wanted something I’ve never had before a dared to order the Lamb Sirloin. OMG! What a wonderful choice! My partner had the Bone-in-Steak. It was huge and delicious as well. For drinks, we both had the “Just Trust Me” where you pick your main liquor and tell them fruity or smoky or whatever. The drink that they had us was…. Exceptional! We love it and the whole experience. We will be back soon!

Wonderful experience! I had my sister’s baby shower here, private party for 28 women in a private room. A few things to note - I don’t live in town, so this was all planned remotely and Eldred was wonderful! Great communication, absolutely perfect planning. April and Lauren took care of our party, wonderful, perfect service - so attentive. Also the bar made us wonderful mocktails for the mom to be! Such a wonderful event that wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful staff at Orsay. Thank you!

First time. 10/10. Was greeted by an awesome staff member, Tony. Complimentary sparkling wine for celebrating the night. We ordered the steak tartare and it was great. The Mrs. ordered seared scallops (pictured) and ate every bite. I ordered the filet (medium rare) and it was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. For dessert, we ordered crème brûlée & the dessert of the day which was homemade almond joy…..wow, incredible. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great atmosphere and ambience. Thanks for a great date night to remember for our anniversary.

As Italians, we have been really surprised about this restaurant. Culinary mastery , fresh good fish, flavors well mixed together, good desserts, generous portions. Staff quick and kind. Highly recommended ! At the entrance it seems an ordinary American restaurant, but it is a gourmet restaurant. If you go to Jacksonville, don’t miss It!!! We loved it!

  • 5/5 Arman S. 1 year ago on Google
It was a great experience. The cassoulet was perfectly cooked with very deep flavors. Would recommend as a very classic French dish. Scallops were cooked very well. The crème brûlée has a great thick sugar crust and not too overwhelming. Obviously a more high end restaurant, making it a good choice for a solid date night, such as valentines, make sure to make reservations early tho!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heartfelt gratitude to Restaurant Orsay for crafting an unforgettable proposal experience. Not only did they present the ring ingeniously in a cloche, but their talented pastry chef designed a breathtaking platter, artistically writing "Will you marry me?" in chocolate on the plate alongside the ring. From our first date to this magical engagement, their exceptional service and attention to detail have been consistently remarkable. They even captured the entire moment on video, providing us with a keepsake of this cherished memory. Forever indebted for making our special day truly extraordinary.

Updated review. Redemption made. Lol. I previously said I wouldn’t return bc my bday reservation was cancelled for a really bad reason and the customer service sucked. But we decided to give it another go bc the food is sooooo delicious. This time we walked in. We waited about thirty minutes for a table with no reservation on a Saturday night. Our waiter was Tony and he was excellent! He was knowledgeable about the menu and items and inspiration, he made great recommendations and was attentive despite being busy. I had the escargot, amazing, the foie gras was to die for, the stroganoff was sooooo hearty and yummy and my husband had the deconstructed lobster pot pie which he couldn’t even finish. So yummy!

Had a great time, everything was good. I got the roasted oysters beef wellington you need to order 24 hours in advance, and we waited 2 minutes to be seated with our reservation. And got the pumpkin bread pudding, which was light and unique. Highly recommend for a celebration if you have the money for dining here.

My husband and I celebrated our 4th anniversary of being together at Orsay and the meal was delicious. They operated as a true French kitchen and our waitress was not only very sweet but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Every staff member had been told it was our anniversary, everyone who came by the table (even if they were just clearing dishes) congratulated us. They also gave us each a complimentary glass of champagne at the beginning of the meal. They really helped make the night special.

Our server Tony was amazing and had the patience of a saint. Jordan was quick with food delivery and was very professional. Whem we had an issue Danielle was at our table in minutes and solved the issues in record time! The duck breast was tender and delicious and the Carolina trout was excellent. We were dressed to the nines but you could go in casual clothes and still get the 5 star experience. We will definitely be back

This place was a real treat and it definitely lived up to its reputation. Our server made us feel welcome, plus the bouillabaisse is probably the best dish I've had in Jacksonville hands-down. We'll be coming back to try the lobster pot pie for sure.

Restaurants with a heavy French influence are not a place I expect to find vegan dining options, but Orsay surprised us. They have a fairly extensive veg/vegan menu with fantastic choices. We enjoyed marinated olives and a tomato tartare for appetizers - both were delicious. My wife and I enjoyed the vegan bouilliabaisse, our daughter had the vegetable shepherd's pie, and our son loved his enormous PB&J (even the accompanying salad). Cocktails from the bar were creative and well enjoyed. The staff was friendly, helpful in explaining the menu, and attentive throughout our meal. The one thing missing from our experience was dessert - would love to see some options in the future that are vegan-friendly. Overall though, we had a wonderful time dining at Orsay, and look forward to our next visit.

I see why this is considered one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville now. Their steak frites is one of the best I've had outside of France, perfectly cooked steak with a beautiful red wine au jus. The Lobster Mac n Cheese was perfectly made with huge chunks of lobster. Pate du jour and seared scallops were also delicious. We got everything takeout due to the pandemic, but service was very friendly and efficient. Looking forward to coming back and dining in when the pandemic is over!

Orsay provides top quality on all food and your entire dining experience. Prices are on the high end, but the food is excellent! The salads are fresh and plentiful! The pork chop is one of the best ever! The taste of the boulliabase is outstanding, however, the amount of seafood in the dish was a little scant for the price. They have a very extensive wine list and a full bar! Service is great! Overall experience is excellent. Parking is tight. Prices are on the high end, but the food is excellent! Definitely a top dining experience in Jacksonville!

The biscuit was great as was the trio foie mousse was delicious the crime brûlée was delicious the wine was great

We have been coming here for a few years and this has been our favorite Restaurant for both my husband and I. Last night we went for date night and I will say the service was excellent but the food was absolutely beyond disappointing. We ordered our favorite (escargot) we recieved what looked and tasted like canned clams covered in arugula sitting in water. The bread was hard and stale, the entree we both ordered was the Orsay burger (what used to be our favorite) was burned with no flavor. Food quality was horrible but the price still the same. Very Disappointed.
