I would have to say me and my crew enjoyed this stay. Coming from someone who is a clean freak and don't do bugs. I didn't see any bugs, the room was cool and ready for us when we checked in. The shower and the water was great! The breakfast was very good! Lots of options to pick from. Staff was super nice! Seemed very safe and people were constantly cleaning. They even clean the pool everyday! I would definitely stay again.

After driving over 20 hours this was the place we decided to stay for a night with our young family. This hotel was priced $40 higher than almost all the other ones in the Jacksonville area. The photos made it look to be what it is clearly not. The photos are of a fully updated room and spotless clean. We get there and get a room that smells like wet towels, Dirty in every corner, ceiling fan has a 1/4 of dust on it, Windows are full of condensation. Tap water was grey when first turned on. Very disappointing. Also doesn’t seem like a very good neighbourhood and highway is very noisy. Pros of our stay : the tv had decent channel selection.

Worst service we have ever experienced. The front desk attendant, Angela, was less than thrilled to check us in and showed it. With her multiple complaints and gripes along the way, I have never been made to feel like such an inconvenience. Then to be told well one system is telling me your room is clean the other is saying dirty. We still were pleasant as it wasn't her fault and was met with eye rolls and a negative attitude each time. Ended up thanking her for her positivity along the way. The front desk sets the tone for the whole experience and so far it has been set with the most condescending person wearing a Jesus lanyard that takes joy in belittling others. 10/10 would not recommend.

This is a nice hotel in a questionable neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was great. Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable. We checked in late at night. We were greatful there was security making rounds around the hotel all night. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection. Would stay again if given the opportunity.

I have never dealt with a more apathetic or disrespectful staff in all my years of travel. Country Inn and Suites is a place I've always respected and have fond memories of, but I'll never stay there again. To begin, beyond the bed and pillows being uncomfortable, I was in town for one full day for work. On that day I needed to shower and get ready but there was a pipe that burst. Stuff happens, I get it, but we were never informed of what happened. I just didn't have water. When I went downstairs to see what the situation was I was treated with contempt, and was treated as if I was bothering them. There was no apology for the inconvenience, it was simply, "Well there isn't anything we can do about it, it's being fixed." When they finally called me to tell me it was fixed it was short and rude. The day I was supposed to check out I was not allowed a late check out. I asked for about 15 minutes of grace because I had a work emergency to deal with. I was told if I wasn't around of the room right at the time I was scheduled I would be charged for an entire day. It was done in such a rude, disrespectful manner, and after I didn't raise any fuss about the fact I was an hour late to my work function because of the water issue from the day before. You lost my business for good.

I checked in for 2 nights paying a total of 326 for a whirlpool hotel room with my Autistic 3 year old and 1 footed 1 year old. Was placed at the entrance of hotel. Was told that if my kids weren't quieter we were going to be kicked out. I wasn't being too loud...the kids were a respectable level of sound. My one year olds prosthetic foot kept banging the hard wood. I was told we had to go if the banging didn't quit. I said I couldn't stop it and was willing to just leave. They refused to refund me my money for the 2nd night and the GM made a disrespectful comment about my parenting. My children are well behaved. We have been in countless other hotels and never had a problem. The woman on the night shift also insinuated I was on drugs when I asked if I could smoke outside and told me not to use paraphernalia. I responded with a respectable it's just a cigarette. Overall they should be guards at a prison and not in customer service. Not a hospitale experience at all except for the very handsome middle aged African American man at the check in counter. He was very sweet.

Management did not follow through with their commitment to adjust our bill based on the problems listed below. It took security an hour to quiet disruptive guests - 3am. The mattresses were broken down and in a "U" shape of sorts. We were moved to a different floor for the second night. The beds and room were as should be expected for a stay of this rate. The breakfast was rather good and was prepared by a friendly, welcoming staff. Edit: After contacting "Tiki/management" directly, as requested, the issue was "remembered", but remains - unresolved.

1.Upon check in customer service was nice upon check out was a younger girl who's CS skills were horrible and not very hospitality wise to guests or welcoming to come back again. 2. After a long day of heat, was looking forward to a swim but pool was filthy no other guest went while we stayed on a wknd(that dirty). 3. Rooms clean, beds comfortable but sofa bed had sheets with bleach holes(asked for new at desk and was very apologetic and accommodating(new girl was very nice). 4. Needs more work to finish updating hotel, can see wear tear, cheap cover up work, maintenance cart left in elevator was inconvenient. 5. No bugs spotted after thorough inspection. 6. Smelled cleaned, except ice bucket of weed. 7. Breakfast was typical but rationed and not much choices. Would go to Denny's But there's the Extremely bad neighborhood of drug dealers, homeless, thugs constantly out on corners, balconies next door, in front of every store watching everything and everyone (saw a white SUV driving around from one group to another dropping off to dealers at night and same people from night before out again with a shopping cart behind convenience store selling out of). 8. Noise all night from highway. 9. Out of traveling the country every city for work and living out of hotels, they do have cleanest whitest towels and linens. 10. Was very appreciative they had 24/7 coffer, cocoa, cookies and fresh fruit available. We come every year to the area, but due to the lack of customer service at check out, dirty pool, and the extremely horrible neighborhood that this hotel has been surrounded by we will not and can not bring our family back again for safety. Thank you for the one new girl's nice service and extra toiletries as requested.

Let me just first say the service was great. The room we were originally put in was extremely smelly. It was either pet urine or extreme mildew. However, the lady at the front desk on Friday night was very helpful and understanding in relocating us to another room. The room we were put in was fine, but the A/C didn't work well at all. Breakfast was good, location was okay (the hotel in the front and overall area was questionable). Unfortunately, being a Diamond Choice member really didn't mean much for my stay, otherwise I might have rated it higher.

This hotel is next to two cheap hotels. One of them is particularly bad and it looks like people live there and all kinds of sketchy people come out at night. I would NEVER stay here again. Front desk staff was mostly nice. When we arrived, front desk girl was on the phone with Uber complaining about them delivering the wrong food order to her. Then she proceeds to tell us what an idiot the Uber eats driver is for delivering a burger and salad when she ordered a chicken alfredo. Other front desk staff was nice and professional. The lady doing breakfast was very nice and happy. Breakfast options were unexciting though. Hotel was dated and rooms smelled musty and moldy. Carpet throughout the hotel was nasty. For the price and for a Country Inn and Suites, I had higher expectations. I inquired from hotel staff about the area after reading other reviews and before booking. Was told it was safe but that is untrue. I would not want to be out after dark around here. Besides the nasty hotels within a rocks throw, there are homeless people hanging around the area. I was concerned about my car getting broken into. Luckily that didn't happen but given the area it is definitely a valid concern. Was glad I was only there for one night. If is was more than that, we would have left early and found another place to stay where we would have felt safe. There are better hotel options in the area. One star bc the hotel is old and dated and the area was nasty and unsafe. One and done for us.

The room was okay, and I needed to update my card on file. And Destiny is the clerks name. She helped me. She was so kind. She made sure I was taken care of. She's beautiful inside and out... Her service made me want to stay here. If anyone wants great service please this the hotel. Ask for Destiny, she's phenomenal....

They keep the rooms incredibly warm and theirs no changing the temperature. Luckily the woman jessica at the front desk was beyond helpful, she went out of her way multiple times to try and help me find a room with good ac. All while running everything else since she was apparently the only person working. She made sure to help us out

The lady with a buzz cut was upset we interrupted her dinner during check in yesterday and this afternoon she's working up front; she forced my family out the pool bc of a small rain shower and closed the pool for the rest of the day. It's only 4pm. Her own sign in the lobby said no rain and she refuses to let us back in. We have two rooms for several nights specifically for the pool! This is disgusting behavior.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The location felt very unsafe. When we checked into our room there was a couple arguing and cussing outside with the door ajar. The entire hallway smelled like smoke. I addressed this with a staff member and was told we're full, you cannot change rooms. She dealt with the situation at the door. When we finally got in our room (the key card didn't work), there was a horrible mildew smell. I then noticed mold on the ceiling. We were already told they were sold out and had nowhere else to go. We sucked it up and got very little sleep. The humidity in the room and the stench made it hard to breathe. I strongly suggest staying elsewhere. This place should be shut down due to mold issues.

I would have given this place a 5 star because the rooms are clean. The jacuzzi tub is a plus . However , these people expect you to be QUIET. My fiance and I were literally just talking not loudly but of course when you put us in the room right next to the desk you'll be able to hear us . Several times the last came from the front desk and told us if we wanted to talk we needed to go outside . This made our stay very uncomfortable.

  • 3/5 Kathy P. 4 months ago on Google
A decent place to stay, we had the two queen beds. Our room didn't have the jacuzzi tub like it advertised. I guess you have to ask for it. That was the main reason we booked with them. The bed was clean, no bed bugs. The tv had cable no way to stream anything. You can only watch what they had. We spent our time playing card games and board games. The room had a stench to it. The bathroom was a decent size, I could some what fit my wheel chair in it. The breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. Staff was friendly, not worth the price we paid in my opinion. Location was in an area that is hard to find, but there are shopping stores close to it.

Good location, spent the last three weeks here using CLC for work travel. Would come back again if in the area again. Jessica was very friendly and courteous and did a great job with every interaction over the last three weeks too!

The stay was great and location was convenient to local restaurants and grocery store. Jessica was absolutely wonderful and kind every time we interacted. She went out of her way to make my 4 year old happy!! If we’re in town we will stay here

Jessica got us out of the pickle we were in and she did it with out any complaints. Beautiful woman inside & out. We will be back just for you! THANK YOU JESSICA.

I never stayed in a Country inn. I was pleasantly surprised. It is tucked away in the back and there no cars in the parking lot when I got there. This made me nervous. Thankfully it was just an off day and the room was clean and enough for my need. Great job.

We could not find fault with this place.Hard to believe? I thought so too, it's never happened to me before. The room was as clean as clean can be, the shower pressure was awesome, even the filter of the ac/unit was totally lint free.(to me this was a longshot). The hot breakfast was well above average and the staff were so friendly and helpful and it's obvious that they take sanitizing serious due to the COVID nightmare.

This little peace of heaven right here made my stay so pleasant. The front desk clerk was friendly and gave me some water in a cute little bag to take along. First of all, the outside of hotel was well maintained. Front lobby was clean and the hallways as well as I walked to my room. First walk through the door I was immediately impressed of how clean and organized everything looked👌. They were not kidding when they mentioned plush bed👌. Bathroom was clean, I didn't see any dust and let me tell about the Whirlpool Tub...not only was it clean but it was working well. The next morning breakfast was extended since it was a holiday. I really enjoyed making my own waffle. They also had scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages along with other breakfast choices. Coffee was right on and not watery like other places. **I recommend this location 5 out of 5. I will most definitely stay here again and have declared that the room I stayed in will forever be my room.

Both times we've stayed at this hotel I've found it to be clean and comfortable. Really appreciate the amenities (breakfast, cookies, fitness room) as well as the water pressure. Hotel personnel, especially Charito, made us feel welcome and were responsive to our needs. Would gladly stay here again :).

Clean bed, delicious breakfast, friendly staff and many things are so wonderful. I always had certain expectations for "Country Inn @ Suites by Radison", they gave me too much, and I was always satisfied. And this time, I was very satisfied. If I visit Jachsonville again, the number one hotel to stay again.

It was amazing. The lady at the breakfast was so nice to me! I 100% recommend this place if your going or in Florida! The breakfast was so good. They had Nutella and peanut butter, cinnamon buns, the greatest sausage's, and they have the good cereal! They had good juices👏 Now on to the rooms - no bed bugs, great water pressure, fluffy good beds, and good counter space👏

Listen, this is my 6th or 7th stay here in the last 3 years & we don’t EVER choose anywhere else when we are in town. Something about these beds makes me sleep like a baby with a full belly. Don’t have much to say about the amenities because I’m never out of bed in time to enjoy them! Room is always clean. Shower is always hot. Staff has always been EXCELLENT. We always check in late and have never had a single problem or issue. STAY HERE!! This is a cheaper place that provides the best service.

I got this hotel thru Hotwire (you choose the price and location without knowing the brand) at a great price while passing through Jacksonville. When I arrived the front desk person (Cathy?) was on the phone with tech support because their reservation system was down. She said she couldn’t check me in because I had just made the reservation an hour ago. I told her I’d go eat dinner and then check back in with her. I called an hour later and she said all was good. She thanked me profusely for my patience and said she “upgraded” my room and when I asked if there was a vending machine she gave me 2 bottles of water. She couldn’t have been more pleasant. The rating is for the service. The room was large and adequate for a quick overnight stay, a bit in need of an upgrade. My room was on the second floor in the front and the traffic noise was very loud.

This was the nicest cleanest hotel with the most comfortable bed that I’ve slept in in years!! A special shout out to the manager Tiki and her coworker Constance for their exceptional customer service the manager went above and beyond my expectations or anyone’s expectations for that matter if it was up to me she would get a big raise starting today!! This hotel will be around for many years with continued service and care at the rate it is now. Furthermore, I will always be highly recommending this hotel to anyone and everyone!!!

Currently staying at this hotel, and not having a good experience. Was told that I could call around 10 or 11 am for an early check in at noon. When I called l, was told that they don’t have any early check in, and I should try back around 2-2:30. Spent the day in town and arrived at the hotel at 4:30. Systems were down and was unable able to get my room because they had not been assigned for the day yet. Asked them if I could have a crib in my room when we finally get one assigned, only to find out that they do not have cribs. It is listed on their website that they do have them, and it was one of the reasons we selected this hotel. Now we had to go out and spend an extra $80 on a pack n play for my 2 year old to sleep. Since we could not get our room, went to dinner, and was finally able to check into our room a little after 7. Second floor had a very strong weed odor. Rooms overall were very nice and updated. Clean for the most part, there was a used shower cap hanging on the bathroom door. The carpets however, are very very dirty. You can see the black spots all over with the caked on dirt. Feet were black walking around barefoot. Location of the hotel is not the greatest. There’s several homeless people sleeping out by the sidewalk surrounding the hotel, and it is very close to a noisy road. This is not fault to the hotel, just a heads up. The Wi-Fi connection in the room is very poor. Strongest I’ve gotten is 1 bar inside the room, with it fading in and out not getting a strong connection at all. Overall the room is nice, but the frustration of not getting my room for more than 7 hours after being told we would be able to get it, and the lack of having what is promised on the website, is a huge let down, and we will probably not come back to this hotel again. UPDATE: at 12:20 am two people started banging on our door asking if anyone is inside. After about 10 minutes of trying to open the door, I think they realized it wasn’t their room. UPDATE #2: After seeing the room in daylight, I take back my comment about the room being mostly clean. The window and the air vents are covered in mold. Absolutely disgusting. I am mortified that we spent the night in this filth.

Had a wonderful stay here! The rooms are huge and clean. The bed was comfortable and rooms stayed cold enough for me at night. Had direct access to the highway and plenty of options for restaurants. Will definitely stay again!

When we initially checked in, I wanted to give it 5 stars and overall here’s why I didn’t-I’ll list the pros first -friendly staff -nice rooms -great breakfast selections NOW THE CONS -located in a sketchy area -there was a roach in our room -shower wouldn’t get hot -we were told we could enter through side bldg and need to use your key to get in but at 10 o clock at night it was propped open as the unit across from us was doing some form of renovating & we were right by the side entrance on the first floor which we didn’t feel safe as I assumed it stayed propped open all night. -at 2am, we were awakened by the staff or someone vacuuming and it was very loud and seemed an inappropriate time. We wanted to fully enjoy it but there were definitely some concerns

Country Inns & Suites was a great value! The room was clean and large space. The staff was friendly and helpful in anything. I have stayed at other hotels that cost more and was not as nice. Access in and out was easy driving. I highly recommend this hotel if you need a place in Orange Park area.

The service was great. The room stunk, was humid, and had a fresh coat of paint but was still dirty. There was a musty/wet/stench in the room. For the price I would not stay again.

Best Value, owner, team in Jacksonville. Away from I-95 and congested downtown, it's a most stop when I travel on the east coast. The owner/manager is always improving, they take care of you and treat you like family...... Mike C.

My boyfriend works out of town for weeks at a time in Jacksonville and frequently stays at this hotel and is satisfied with his stay ,but last night he received terrible customer service and was treated very poorly. He made an online reservation with the hotel, checked in at the front desk and received his key to his room with no issues. He decided to grab a bite to eat before going up to his room. When he came back to the hotel and entered his room he seen someone else’s stuff in the room. He immediately went back to the front desk and explained what had happened, asking if they may have given him the wrong room. The front desk employee explained that it was the correct room and key. He then questioned as to why his room was occupied if he had already made a reservation. The front desk employee could not give an explanation as to what had happened. When he asked about receiving a new room the front desk employee told him they were completely sold out and there was nothing they could do, leaving him without anywhere to stay. He tried to book a room at surrounding hotels, but each one he tried was sold out as well or astronomically priced, causing him to have to sleep in his truck on the side of the road. He didn’t get to take a shower, brush his teeth or lay in a comfortable bed after working outside the entire day and had to wake up and go right back to work after having this miserable night.
