We're to even start.... room was no smoking that smelled like a smoking bar. Bed sheets stained, no light bulbs on the lamps or fixtures, etc. Crack heads walking around the property.... Just a very run down place period. Definitely not worth what we paid for the stay. But that's not even the worst part.... got woken up at 2am to a shoot out in front of my building and police running everywhere on the property lol crazy crazy stuff. By far my work experience in a hotel while traveling for work. The only good thing about this hole experience was the front desk lady. She was super nice and extremely professional.

PLEASE PLEASE! DONT EVER STAY HERE! If you pull in the parking lot drive off! Me and my husband needed a room because we had been driving a long ways and needed some sleep. The rooms are freaking filthy! Hair on beds , and don’t even think about sleeping because they have BED BUGS! We heard a lot of yelling at 3am and looked outside there was 3 police officers kicking someone out. A lot of homeless/crack heads walking around. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY HERE OR AT ANY RED ROOF AGAIN! Room 148 was the room!

The staff were very respectful and attentive the room were clean. Only the comforter need some attention but for the price I will not even complaint. You should feel proud of your admin and staff. Special thanks to Maurice front desk staff. Thanks

I have never been in a room that I don't want to shower in or use the toilet. You couldn't pay me to stay here ever again. I asked for 2 more towels and was told that they didn't have anymore. I saw hookes people all cracked out. For a few minutes I thought I was in a hore house. The only nice thing I can say is that the power work and so did the water. If you come here bring cleaning supplies or buying some across the street at Publix. Also if you carry a gun don't leave it in you car. Actually don't leave anything in your car and if you spend more then on night take all your valuable you don't know if it will be there when you get back. Most important stay anywhere else. Oh yeah they have an arm security by the front office. That should have been my first indication of the big mistake I had made. I have never written a bad review about a place I have stayed. I would really hate for a family like mine to deal with what we did.

I have never been so rudely treated upon check-in. We have emotional support cats. Not having seen them he assumed the smell he detected was my cats. After being notified that my daughter has a condition called hyperhidrosis. It causes people to sweat and have an unpleasant body odor especially after a long time of work, witch she had. The at the front desk D.K. had the audacity to say we better keep our room clean and no cat orders or he would have to make us lease. I am bedridden and this was only the second time I had been up in over two years. This whole ordeal was physical and mental taxing for me. D.K. proved to be a man of his word. Even though we cleaned the room daily with Resolve for Pets, Lysol for Pets, Lysol Wipes, Febreze for fabric and air. House keeping didn't even know we had cats. They told us that they didn't need to come in to the room. They didn't smell any bad odors coming from the room when we needed something from them. Week 3 my daughter went to pay for that week, she was informed that we were being asked to leave. We would have 24hrs to make other arrangements. This was 9:30am, we began looking for another location. At 12:30pm we got a loud knock on the door front motel security telling us we had 15mins to leave. To close this out because there is so much more. They made me daughter put our things on the ground outside of the room. D.K. and the Manager Katherine order security to put us by 5:00pm or call the police department on us. They were allowing me to stay laying until a wheelchair could get me. They helped my daughter get me into my mobility scooter. I had to wait outside almost 2hrs this was only my 3rd time up out of bed in over two years. Customer service was zero help. They told me all of these decisions are up to the management at the location. I will be reporting this for discrimination.

This place is horrible. The only thing great about this motel is the location. Drug dealer everywhere. Dirty rooms. The floors were filthy. The bed sheets had stains on them. The bathroom door look like it was from the 1930s. Roaches big as chihuahuas. Just baaad. Seriously. I would highly recommend you find a different hotel.

Don’t get me wrong, the front desk lady was super nice. I needed somewhere to crash for the night and this place provided that. However, when I got to my room, the room was messy and wasn’t clean. The sheets weren’t made and the trash in the bathroom was full. The floor was dirty was well and the lights on the wall above the bed didn’t work. The lights in the bathroom worked though. Giving the area, there was someone trying to break into my room twice. Both times within the span of an hour. I let management know about this and unfortunately, there’s no helping that because there’s a high homeless population here. Overall, this inn was there for me when I needed somewhere to sleep really quickly. Everything else wasn’t the best.

Honestly, how can anyone give this motel more than a one rating? The rooms are wore out, the linens suspect, and I think every patron here smokes. The place reeks of cigarettes. Our room had no soap, no shampoo, and only two bath towels. When the air conditioning came on it sounded like an airplane taking off; fortunately it did work. I am hoping my car is still in the parking lot in the morning. I have always found Red Roof to be a clean, low cost, no frills place to stay the night, not a complete dump like this one. If I wasn't so tired I would leave and find something else.

This hotel is one of the known drug hotels in the area. Red Roof and the old Super 8 are the two worst hotels when it comes to drugs and riff raff. These rooms are ill maintained with stains on the carpets, sheets, walls and doors. Housekeeping is little more than picking up trash, changing linens and rinsing the sink, shower and toilet with water. Be prepared to do your own housekeeping or bring shower shoes before stepping into the bathroom and/or bathtub barefooted. Staff can be accommodating depending on who is working but beware the owner. He's known for shady activities and pursuing females who stay alone in their rooms. A budget hotel but not recommended for small children and families. Constant illegal activities throughout all hours of the night even with on site security rovers moving around all night long. You're better off at the Motel 6 or even better the Quality Inn...much less riff raff and bs to deal with there and the rooms are MUCH cleaner and better maintained!

Don't stay there. Triple shooting there last nite. Endless trouble. Over 300 calls for service from police as well as emergency response for overdoses in the last year. Jacksonville city council is pursuing declaring the hotel a public nuisance and shutting it down.

Kimesha and the manager up front have always been super helpful checking us in on all of our recent stays here. She has always made sure to check for and apply any specials available and always gets us in a room that meets all of our needs. Very kind and hospitable, hence why we have come back numerous times when we have needed a place away from home to stay.

The room needs a little upkeep but it’s clean, the AC works well, and they have a bar to assist getting into the tub (which is helpful after knee surgery). The room is good for the price!

This review is for the Red Roof Inn Orange Park/ Jacksonville. I’ve always loved this hotel because of it’s quiet atmosphere, adequate accommodations and workable enough that I can open up my laptop and work undisrupted; however, this past visit I’ve noticed some big changes. As for the standards, my room was clean. The parking lot had ample parking and the staff stays on top the grounds. The front desk staff was wonderful as usual. The biggest problem I had was the crazy security staff they have on site. Case in point… I planned to catch up with a few friends for lunch & dinner while staying in Orange Park. As I normally do, I would have them meet me at my room and we would walk over to one of the number of restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. On this particular day 2 of my friends were to meet me at my room at 12:15PM. 12:15PM came and went. Finally, at 12:30PM both of my guests called me to say the security staff is not letting then on site and they went right over to the hotel. I told my guests they must be mistaken. It’s none of the security staffs business who my guests are and why they are there. Perplexed, I called the front desk but no one answered. Five minutes later the security staff shows up at my door and asks me if I was expecting some guests. I told them that I was. The security staff instructed me that all of my guests would need to be registered beforehand, there ID’s left at the front desk and car registered. SAY WHAT!?! Security then went onto say that this is the new hotel policy around the clock. Dumbfounded, I finished getting ready and headed to lunch with my friends. I returned to the hotel at 2:30PM, I quickly packed up my room and checked into a neighboring hotel. Never in my life did I pay for a hotel stay only to feel uncomfortable enough to leave the hotel and check into another hotel. Not only was this annoying, it was disappointing and it was a waste of my time and money! I understand the hotel staff at the Red Roof Inn must have put this into effect to curb issues which occurred prior to my arrival but I’d like to think that I am respectful, courteous and a fantastic tipper when I stay at their lodge. If the Red Roof Inn is going to pry into my personal life and want to know everyone and anyone happening with me, I will take my business elsewhere. When I travel, I like my privacy. If the Staff at the Red Roof Inn wants to turn their hotel into a “police state” then please make sure this information is clearly posted. I had to take my business elsewhere. Thanks for the memories!

I love staying here at this location when I'm in Orange Park because the place is clean. Rooms are nice. The staff are friendly and I love the fact that it's well secured. Staff is friendly and very warming.

It's great if you need a place to stay in for the night but no more than 2-3 days. The person at the front desk was nowhere to be found when I went to check-in and check out. But they made up for it, the lady at he desk is super sweet. The place is clearly unsafe and they have a security guard outside overnight but it's just one guy and he seemed like a really sweet guy. I don't see how he would be able to handle things if it was a group or something very serious. I've stayed at Red Roofs before and this was the first one I've had do parking permits / passes. When I walked into the room the sheets looked a bit dirty with dark stains on them.

Well at least I didn't SEE any roaches!! Non of the multiple leg sort anyway,! The armed security doesn't make it feel any safer.....no one was at the front desk for at least 20 minutes when trying to check in..smh

First I want to say I've been to another location in the Brandon/Tampa area and though the staff was friendly the rooms spacious for a regular setup it was really scary. They had painted over what looked and smelled like blood splatter, very coppery sent filled room. The Jacksonville location was pleasant. The room was clean, a bit small but not by much compared to other and the staff was friendly and eager to help. My dog was a bit freaked out at first but there's been other dogs in room, and bigger I'm sure. The woman who was doing housekeeping was a super sweet older woman who's personality literally made her extremely approachable. All you had to do was ask and minutes later you had clean towels or whatever you needed. Amazingly sweet person. The hotel was pleasantly calm on the days we were there, no disturbances, no fighting outside. Sleep came easily there, thankfully. Conveniently located within walking distance of shops, gas stations, smoke shops, restaurants and fast food joints, other hotels as well. There was even a chuck e cheeses literally next door on other side of fence. Walmart was close by as well. The only downside for me was that the tv was a bit crazy, channels wouldn't come in and if you found the Disney channel you'd better leave it on or you'd for some reason loose it.

We checked into this location on Saturday, and went about the business we traveled across the country for. When we arrived back in the evening, our room had not be attended to, which meant no fresh towels, the bed not made, the floor not swept, no K- cups, no coffee in the tray for the coffee maker. Oh yes, our cards didn't work when we returned, which required a trip in the rain to the front office to get them replaced. The good thing is that I only had to tell the clerk 3x what room I was in, and that my wife was waiting outside where it was raining with our shopping. Also, gotta love the drawer that was very difficult to open (and close). Oh yes, when my wife went to the front office for towels, the clerk said he was surprised. A few mins later someone showed up to explain that the didn't do the room (duh). She came back later with towels. She never came back with the coffee. If you have a choice, pick another hotel.

The room is very minimalistic. The staff and security is good. As a single female traveler, I feel safe here. No bugs and the room is clean. Just dated, worn, and could use an upgrade. Worth the price.

I’ve been regretting the decision to save money by staying here. I haven’t been able to sleep. The smell of the room. Security knocking on doors at 4am. To resume you are better off sleeping in your car don’t waste your time or money.

The room was a nightmare, dirty chair (stained) iron board cover had sticky substance and stained dirty, toilet seat was broken and toilet bowl was losely mounted to floor when you sat on it the toilet moved. Fire alarm was not plugged in it was laying on table. Safety latch on inside of the door was very loss. And on top of all that they do not have a continental breakfast at all. Only coffee. Save your money and go elsewhere only thing that was right was the price.

I always end up staying here whenever I get a chance to go to a hotel in town…it’s nice, clean, good coffee, staff is great…I love it…and they’ve got their own security guard going around at dark to keep away anything or anybody that might cause problems..

The stay was nice. The staff was super polite and DK has the patience of an angel!! Room was clean and AC blew cold ALL night! Room was also spacious and beds were comfortable. They even have security at night!! The location is great as well. You can walk to Chuck E Cheese, Splitz bowling, Publix and a ton of restaurants in the matter of minutes.

The room was nice and clean, we had plenty of towels, housekeeping was was very nice and helpful and the general manager DK was very nice (he gave me a discount for being a nice lady, so kudos to him). My stay there was very pleasant and peaceful, nobody bothered us it was quiet and if I ever need to stay over night in Orange Park again it will definitely be at the Red Roof Inn.

Parking is suitable. Rooms are clean. Water pressure suitable and adequate for showering. Beds are comfortable. Smoking rooms available. Pets are allowed and welcomed. Security guard present and patrol throughout the evening. Well light parking lot. No loitering and rifraft, quite during sleeping hours and parking tags are strictly monitored and enforced and unauthorized vehicles are are not allowed on property and quickly removed. Guests safety seems to be a high priority. I felt safe.

Not going to speak poorly about any establishment. Not my preference for hotels as far as cleanliness, safety, or amenities. I did not stay the night.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!! The rooms are nasty, with black mildew in the bathroom around the walls and tub. The beds smelled like cigarettes. The stay was not worth the price... I was very disappointed.

Worse of the worse , I should read the reviews before booking there. Floor dirty, bathroom filthy, there’s no way to take a shower there. Door looked like it was kicked by police before. People wandering around the whole time. Vehicle with loud music. Please make yourself a favor, stay in your car, believe me; you are better off. This place is not safe and clean.

Save your money and sanity. They don’t care about you, they want your money. Me and my husband had to move rooms 2 times, the first time is only because of renovations, second time is because nothing worked (the shower would turn off mid shower, the sink didn’t drain, there wasn’t heat and the room got to 58°F that night, the door didn’t close all the way) and they wanted to move us when the people next to us were keeping us up all night and then waking us up early in the morning fighting with each other. The power went out one night because they have at least three rooms on the same breaker, the WiFi is constantly going out and they have no clue how to fix it so hope you don’t rely on that (literally just need to switch the security on it but 🤷🏼‍♀️). They’re renovating currently but in all three rooms we’ve been in there’s been a hole either in the wall or bathroom door. The tubs are poorly repainted. Good luck figuring out which lights work. The ac/heater units smell musty. You can hear the highway no matter where you are.
