Only
out
of
desperation,
following
a
long,
frustrating
and
fruitless
afternoon
of
trying
to
locate
accommodations
for
my
brother,
I
finally
was
able
to
make
a
confirmed
reservation
by
phone.
I
thoroughly
explained
his
situation.
He
is
a
disabled
vet
with
special
needs
and
some
mental
health
issues.
He
also
is
not
in
possession
of
his
ID
as
he
had
been
attacked
and
his
belongings
were
taken.
My
only
goal
was
to
attempt
to
secure
him
a
relatively
safe
space
to
rest
for
a
couple
of
nights.
When
he
arrived,
the
desk
clerk
turned
him
away
and
threatened
him
with
a
charge
of
trespass
simply
for
trying
to
check
in.
She
also
told
him
I
never
called
to
make
a
reservation,
a
blatant
lie.
When
I
called
there
to
see
whether
he
was
able
to
check
in
she
told
me
the
reservation
was
cancelled
due
to
his
lack
of
ID.
The
reservation
agent
informed
me
there
was
no
policy
of
an
ID
requirement.
However,
the
desk
clerk
countered
by
saying
the
place
was
"privately
owned".
Funny
how
she
could
not
or
would
not
produce
any
contact
information
for
this
so-called
owner
(nor
a
manager)...no
number,
not
an
email
address,
nothing.
It's
disgusting
and
disgraceful
how
this
representative
of
Red
Roof
Inn
treated
a
disabled
veteran.
As
a
disabled
vet
myself,
I
will
be
certain
to
inform
everyone
with
whom
I
come
in
contact
what
a
degenerate
organization
this
is.
No
grace,
empathy,
human
decency
or
compassion.
