We chose not to stay after 5 minutes in the room. The room was filthy. Deep filth. The beds were made but sheets /spreads and pillow cases were stained with dirt and blood. The floor was filthy. The chair in the room was filthy. The sink, toilet and bath tub were stained and filthy. There were random, sketchy people everywhere. The grounds were littered with trash, the water in the pool was was black. I have never seen such a hotel. The website was very deceiving. If you wash your clothes at least once a week, this is NOT the place for you. Upon checking into another hotel nearby and sharing our experience of disgust, it was shared with us about the shootings in the parking lot and the dead body found in a room under a bed. (2 separate incidences) Yes, we found the news stories online. Lady at front desk was polite when refunding our money. Please see picture of drug needle found at bottom of the stairs.

I'd give it a zero if I could! I don't even know where to start. First, we arrived at 8 pm, and when we went to our room, it was very dirty and had blood stains on the cover. It had a very strong tobacco smell, like someone had been smoking there, although it said "no smoking". We could not stand the smell, so we asked the staff for a room change. The second room was even worse. Someone was still in it! When we told the staff, they were clueless and rudely gave us another card. The third room was the slightest bit better, but still very dirty. It was not ready, but by then we were too tired to care. In general, DO NOT BOOK HERE! People smoke upstairs in the balcony. The environment feels uncomfortable. The staff is rude. The rooms are not ready. The only reason you should consider this hotel is if you are on a very long road trip, it is 11 pm at night and you don't want to sleep in your car.

The room was surprisingly very clean, didn't see a single bug in the room. The covers were clean, the paint on the wall is even. The staff was professional and attentive. The facility fairly clean and orderly, minus the unserviced pool. Great option, especially at the price.

The staff is what gets the 5 star rating. The place is relatively clean, you get what you pay for however I have not experienced any bed bugs. I visit quite often (3 nights every 2 weeks) and the rooms are set up nicely. My only complaint is that people hang around the stairs quite often. If you let staff know, they'll tell them to stop. It can be a bit intimidating but they address the issue quickly.

They didn't have a refrigerator for me to put my things in and no carpet no towels and soap. Carpet would be safer to have because anyone getting out of the tub they doesn't have to slip and fall and it will prevent the floor from being colder. Red roof can do better.

I have always stayed at the Red Roof at the Airport so when I checked in on July 17 2023 I was shocked to see new management. But all in all the Front day staff Ms. Niesha is very very pleasant and makes sure you have what you need. Manager Ms. Kemeisha is awesome had a couple of minor hiccups when I stayed but they were handled right then and with acknowledgment of my issue. Housekeeping and Maintenance met all of my needs when I needed them as well. The rooms are very clean and comfy. So I do recommend this Hotel for rest close to Walmart Dennys and many other places in the shopping center...Thank you, guys for everything very appreciative

Room was clean. Only thing is there are a lot of junkies outside of the hotel. Didn’t feel really safe to be honest. I only stayed overnight and I thank god I didn’t stay longer the area is filled with crackheads

The room was clean and without any stale odors. We were pleasantly surprised with that. The outside property could use a cleanup. We have stayed at way worse in Tennessee, Indiana, even Nassau County. I can’t give it 5 stars because of the tenants all over the parking lot all hours, price & outside appearance. If you’re stopping through for a night or 2 it isn’t horrible.

I don’t even know where to start….. Bring you some raid for sure…. For the price per night, it’s shocking the infestation I experienced…. If you’re looking for a quick stay.. cool but this wasn’t it all…. No one should have to kill 1 million roaches the first night of stay…

There are certainly better economy hotels in the area than this one. We reserved a room for three nights, but didn’t even stay one. Extremely small rooms, smaller than most master bedrooms. Cigarette burns and stains on the sheets. Old and worn down furniture and fixtures. I felt like we needed to shower after we looked around the room. And even though I had notified them of a late check-in, once we canceled the stay, they kept one night’s worth of money. I would not recommend this hotel.

I just really like the way they treat their guest and also very helpful if you need anything. I am completely satisfied at checkout. Thank you Red Roof Staff. You guys are doing a great job. And there are so many fantastic promo deals being offered right now. Red Roof is my go to when traveling and this location has an awesome staff👍⭐😊🦁

So... You probably shouldn't stay here. When we arrived, the front office it was locked with no note on the door. There was a police car out front so we assumed something had happened (never found out what). We started thinking about how we could not stay here but we had pre-payed through Priceline and it was quite late. It's really sketchy. We are two big guys and neither of us felt comfortable. There's tons of people hanging out very late, blocking the stairs, smoking and drinking. The front desk apologized for everything, but clearly this was normal. Room itself was fine. Bed wasn't too bad, but there was a strong smoke smell covered up by air fresheners, and cigarette holes in the bedspreads. Just spend the extra $20 and stay across the street. Wifi sucks :(

Only out of desperation, following a long, frustrating and fruitless afternoon of trying to locate accommodations for my brother, I finally was able to make a confirmed reservation by phone. I thoroughly explained his situation. He is a disabled vet with special needs and some mental health issues. He also is not in possession of his ID as he had been attacked and his belongings were taken. My only goal was to attempt to secure him a relatively safe space to rest for a couple of nights. When he arrived, the desk clerk turned him away and threatened him with a charge of trespass simply for trying to check in. She also told him I never called to make a reservation, a blatant lie. When I called there to see whether he was able to check in she told me the reservation was cancelled due to his lack of ID. The reservation agent informed me there was no policy of an ID requirement. However, the desk clerk countered by saying the place was "privately owned". Funny how she could not or would not produce any contact information for this so-called owner (nor a manager)...no number, not an email address, nothing. It's disgusting and disgraceful how this representative of Red Roof Inn treated a disabled veteran. As a disabled vet myself, I will be certain to inform everyone with whom I come in contact what a degenerate organization this is. No grace, empathy, human decency or compassion.

I made a reservation here for a king size bed so we could stop while traveling. Wasn’t expecting anything amazing. I booked on Expedia and did not have to pay until I got ti the property. When I got there, my reservation has been cancelled, I was never contacted about this change. The guy at the desk said they only thing he could think of was if it tried to charged my card and got denied, but I never got a notification about a charge either. Annoyed and exhausted because it was nearly 1AM, I just asked for another bed. All that was left for two doubles for more money than I had booked the king for. I wish I’d gone across the street or anywhere else. Room was dirty—toilet literally had pee on it, cigarette holes in the blankets, old keys from past guests on the floor…i understand you get what you pay for, but if you need a cheap stay in Jacksonville, go to the developer inn. We stayed there a different night and it was much better quality for price.

Location : Jacksonville FL Airport Worst red roof experience..... We came all the way from Towne....and the front desk person was having a personal phone call the entire time she checked us in. Literally talking about their friend needing to panhandle and talking about getting arrested and warrants. Etc.... Then....I saw the rooms. Room #237 the toilet didnt flush right. It smelled like smoke. There were 2 fleas on the one bed. Mystery stains.....and pubic hair throughout. She said I was in there for over 25min and 15 min is the limit to get a refund. Which is impossible bc I was still sitting in my car making tomorrow's reservation elsewhere for more long term stays. She called housekeeping and still didn't believe me.... Said the rooms were clean. Offered another room...room #209. This was semi cleaner. Same plumbing issues ....but the amount of stench was so horrendous. It was like a petting zoo odour. She said she would call the manager about getting a refund ..said she was doing it as we speak ...told her thank you. And she rolled her eyes. Disgusting behaviour .....I don't recommend at all! Hopefully manager will answer in morning .....but highly doubt it.

Older property but inexpensive and convenient to the highway so a decent value. Manager Kimeka (sorry for mispelling!) was responsive as our first room was smoky. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Nice and clean motel. A good place to stay prior to a cruise. It is very convenient to the cruise port. But, what I liked best was the small feral cat colony that lives there. They made my day!

I’m so glad I skipped the reviews! My room was fantastic! It was clean, quiet, no one bothered me, no one beating down the door at 8 am to remind me that check out was at 11. And everyone was so nice! I loved that they were joking around with each other. I really am glad I stopped here for the night, so much so, I actually extended for another night! Thanks guys for making my stay comfortable and nice

I have been staying here off and on since June. The change in the environment has been tremendous and amazing. The property has really done a complete turn around. I feel safe all the time, there's no loud or disorderly people hanging around. The management and staff are amazing and helpful. It really is a complete change from 6 months ago. It's my go-to in this area now.

Upon arrival the staff was warm and gracious, the location is perfect if you would like to be near the airport. I prefer being on a ground floor and in and out at my leisure, so motels work for me. The room was clean and there was fresh linen/ towels, soap etc... No phone in the room but I had my cellphone so I managed. The room could use some updates mainly the shower/tub but it was functional. I did call the front desk for the toilet because the seat was loose and they took care of it right away. Housekeeping came by each day to clean and did a great job Overall it was a pleasant stay and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I would go back and stay again.

I should have read the reviews. This place is disgusting. Once I finally got to sleep, I was rudely awoken by cops banging on my door, and then they proceeded to escort me out in my underwear while they searched my room along with several other rooms at the hotel. I was told by management this was standard practice. I had not broken any of their rules or any laws. I asked the administration if there had been a complaint, and no, that this was common practice that they were in partnership with the police to do what I feel was an illegal search.

A third party booked my room for me and the check in process was very smooth. The nice man at the front desk treated me like a regular paying customer. He didn't treat me any different because my reservation was paid for by someone else. I don't know what's up with all the complaints about noise and junkies because I haven't seen any of that. Very nice place for the price. I want to ask though, is free coffee just in the morning or is that all day? The Orange Park location used to have it all day so I was just wondering. Thank you.

Front desk customer service was very rude. I called asking a few questions, locations and such and wanted to make a reservation. White lady working the desk, around 1:40pm I called Tuesday April 26 so you should have her schedule with that information, anyway, her rudeness suggested she was white!!!!!!!! But with that attitude, I'm sure you know who I'm talking about without me having to describe her race! Now I wanted to know what the difference was of me making a reservation with her then on the reservation line. She told me I can come in and pay, I can't do that, I just need a room. So you know what your fine, great, and AWESOME employee do, I'm being sarcastic in case you want to say oh at least she said some kind words, NO!, well she gave me an ultimatum of what I need to do then"hung up" by placing me on hold. OF COURSE, I call back and what do you expect? No answer Also she said she had a line of guest and didn't have time or whatever for me cause you know I'm a customer to, before she had placed me on hold So I'm thinking 🤔 you just hang up on somebody in front of guest, so your rude to me and also in front of your "line of guest" wow! Somebody fire her!!!! She must need a break she's very stressed, maybe stretch to thin purhaps, whatever the issue it needs to be corrected.

This is a really good place to stay. The rooms are always clean and it's quiet. Front desk staff Ms. Kemesha is always friendly and has great customer service. She is an asset to the Red Roof Inn. The staff here is always wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Disgusting! The mattress was stained. There was bugs every where in the floors. The management is horrible and when I went down to talk to the manager about accommodating for a room we didn’t ask that was disgusting with bugs. He rolled his eyes or said “do we have to do this now”. Than called security on myself and the two others I was with. I do not recommend saying here. I have picture of how nasty and disgusting the room is. I will never stay in any red roof inns ever. I may not have gotten my back but I went to a different hotel which is clean and bug free with better management.

Cannot give this Red Roof Inn 1 star, worst hotel we have ever stayed at , utterly disgusting. Hallways smelled horrible, rooms the same . Trash & hair...clumps in the hallway, trash around building, security key entry ripped out. People hanging out by building, fighting & yelling during sleep hours. I've have stayed at other Red Roof Inn, all very well maintained, pleasant front desk, not at the Jacksonville location. Hopefully the owner of the franchise fixes the terrible conditions, best would be to close this Red Roof Inn . Not secure or safe

Really bad experience. Check in was fine. Room was just okay — overwhelming scent of Lysol. Very tired mattress. Hasn’t been deep cleaned or refreshed in a long, long time. It was a Friday night and a large group of what appeared to be construction workers staying at the hotel partied hard in the parking lot until way after midnight. Maybe got two hours sleep as we had an early flight. Just a miserable time.

If I could give it no stars I would. Place is horrible. When I first checked in, they only had one bath towel and one face towel. I went to ask for more and the front desk informed me that they only issue out two towels and two face cloths for rvry room. What is the point of telling them how many guest will be staying? Secondly the floors were not swept nor moped. Our sink had a clog and was leaking badly. We had to source rooms. When we switched rooms the floor had not been moped nor swept and their was no room trash can. We didn't even have a microwave or refrigerator. Bad drug area aswell. The weed smell is very strong with a lot of loitering. The pool is very nasty to look at. The pictures they have on hooper and Google are extremely deceiving. My start was from April 1st-3rd.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! IT was terrible, both my daughters were so scared we had to leave, we didn't even sleep. This place should be condemned and is not a place for families to stop, there was a guy counting money on the balcony and he had girls working from what I seen using the rooms for other means. The rooms had been sprayed with some sort of disinfectant that was so strong you couldn't breath. The rooms were disgusting and there was no way we would sleep there, my daughter stepped in vomit as we left walking back to our RV and I had to clean her shoe. I can't believe they actually let families stay there. Close the place down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room reeked of smoke (had reserved smoke free), 2 full sized beds (had reserved king room), no microwave or fridge, no toilet paper, surface of tub peeling off (opted to not take a shower), moved night stand to access outlet ...filthy behind, unwrapped plastic "glasses" for water and they were filthy. Horrible place. Sadly had to stay...sleeping on top of covers (afraid what I'll find if I look). My recommendation...keep driving.

Friday night before New years eve, a booking agent found us the last room available in the Jacksonville FL area. We should have slept in the car a rest area. Drug infested area. Sketchy people running around at 1am. Floors were new but looked like they had NEVER been mopped! Beds had visible stains everywhere! It looked as if the bedspread were left unwashed for months then washed. We left everything in the car so no cockroaches would catch a ride with us home! And listened all night Incase the car alarm went off! The only reason we stayed was because I never saw a bedbug or cockroach, Thank G_d because the 2 hrs in napping got us home the next day. I please suggest anyone who is desperate, SLEEP IN YOUR CAR FIRST! I still have nightmares!

The rooms are nasty an dirty. They have cockroachs. The employee's are very rude except the one girl that works nightshift she's pretty cool chic. Rates are very high for what u pay for. I would not recommend

  • 2/5 Roy S. 1 year ago on Google
The place was reasonably clean and in much more renovations. The linens were old and worn, comforter had burn holes, the sink leaked onto the floor and rust in the bathtub. Thank God no bedbugs.

  • 2/5 Doug J. 1 year ago on Google
You get what you pay for. My room had a weird smell but I got used to it. I had hot water, AC, a microwave, and a place to park. The bed was not comfortable. This what their pool looks like November 2022. I would not stay there again.

  • 1/5 Terisa J. 1 year ago on Google
Do not, do not, do not under ANY circumstances even consider staying here. There is no price low enough to make this place worth even a one night stay. My wife and I were set to stay here for ONE night in between destinations. The white sheets had semen stains, with lube hand-prints to match. Urine spots that barely stood out over the crusty yellow of what were originally white sheets and blankets. The pillows were double-cased and still greasy. Everything was STICKY. Peel your pants from your skin when you go to stand kind of sticky. The lock on the door did not stick and the staff were aggressive and abrasive when we sought a refund so we could find a different place to stay, and flat out refused when presented pictures of the disease infested room we'd been given. Will be disputing via our credit company.
