I was quite underwhelmed by this place. Service was excellent, food was quite Americanized and very predictable- not offering a more authentic Thai cuisine experience. I'm Southeast Asian, so I do have high standards. I expected a more robust menu from a place that looks like this and is on every list for places to eat in Jacksonville. The best thing we tried was the blue dumplings- very reminiscent of a traditional food found all over Southeast Asia. They sat us in the middle row of tables and chairs and there was no lighting for our meal- sorry for the dark pictures. The drunken noodles I didn't even picture because the presentation was awful and strangely hardly any noodles in the dish. I've had better. Not sure we need to return. The smaller mom and pop thai restaurants have better tasting food.

This definitely is one of the best Thai restaurants in town for sure.We ordered Chicken Satay,Coconut Soup,Panang Curry and Thai Basil Fried Rice. The flavors are really amazing. Thanks to Arlene for helping us find the right food items from the menu.Coconut soup and Panang curry rice are my favorites after this visit. The ambience was nice and the food tasted really awesome. The wait time was around 5-10 mins and food serving was in a reasonable amount of time. Abundant amount of parking space available. Overall an happy experience and will definitely revisit again!

Delicious meal tonight at Blue Orchid. Fantastic and friendly service in a beautifully decorated space. Highly recommend the crab Rangoon! Perfectly crispy and overly stuffed...in a good way. Finished with the coffee creme brulee. Will eat here again for sure!

I went to Blue Orchid with my uncle a bit ago and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and the staff was beyond welcoming and friendly. We had a great conversation with I believe it was Sean, and I personally would go back just to hear his stories again! The Pad Thai is flavorful, and I recommend it. They also have a wide variety of protein options which I thought was cool!

Can I give 6 stars for service? Shawn was just delightful! I think heโ€™s normally a manager but we were lucky enough to have him serve us today :) Decor is beautiful. Itโ€™s ALL imported from Thailand (except the Buddha since thatโ€™s illegal). Great place for a date. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Food was excellent. They even have gluten-free versions of most (maybe all?) of their sauces. Very gluten-free friendly place!! The gluten-free Chili sauce is also Vegan, so theyโ€™re vegan-friendly as well. The tofu was not over-fried, it had the perfect texture. Hubby said his brown rice was extra delicious for brown rice. Hubby is allergic to nuts and seafood and they made sure to check that nothing slipped through the cracks. Not all places are so careful, in our experience, itโ€™s often that servers donโ€™t actually know whatโ€™s in the sauces! We really appreciated this attention to detail. We will definitely be back!

Excellence at its best, tasty, spicy, and very authentic. Absolutely divine atmosphere with elegance unparalleled. Thank you for a great luncheon with my son and two little fur babies on the patio overlooking the majestic koi pond.

Amazing Thai food, one of the best preparation for drunken noodles and Tom yum soup. I had drunken noodles chicken and they were just amazing - the right blend of salt, sugar, and hotness.

Ordered takeout online. The food was ready about 10-minutes early, just as I arrived. It was cooked exactly as requested. I had the Pad Thai. The sauce was good, and the portion was perfect. The gal at the front counter was very friendly. I'll gladly return here for Thai.

Delicious Thai offerings, classy/comfortable atmosphere and friendly/attentive service. Hostess seated us promptly with a welcoming smile and greeting. We immediately felt like valued customers. Jose provided excellent table service and helpful suggestions. Crab Rangoon appetizer was crisp and creamy. Pad Thai (pork), and Drunken Noodles (chicken) with vegetables dishes were both perfectly prepared with well balanced โ€œheatโ€ and spice. Noodles of both dishes had the tenderness of fresh-made and were full of flavor, creating an excellent base for the proteins and vege. I highly recommended Blue Orchid.

So I've been to Blue Orchid before, when they had the old menu that included the stuffed chicken wings (THAT WAS MY FAVE, they don't carry that anymore โ˜น๏ธ). I hadn't gone in a while because it was way too far but I was craving Chor Muang. We drove 45+ minutes... My gosh was I thoroughly disappointed. The pros โœจ๏ธ: Our waitress was great. The decor is well done. The flower buds (Chor Muang) were meh/good. Although sweeter than what we prefer the papaya salad was decent. The cons ๐Ÿšซ: The lychee martini was not for me: Very sour and didn't taste any lychee, mostly alcohol. The food overall was very average. I had Pad See Ew $22 with mixed seafood +$14 ($36)... I had 1 scallop that was cut in 3 thin slices, about 3 shrimp and most of the rest was calamari... and the dish was that small. My mom got the Choo Chee Fish ($34), we were under the impression it was going to be a whole fried fish... It looked like 1 regular fried fish from what you would get from a seafood platter at a much higher price . She wasn't a fan of the sauce and the chef did make a second batch. While paying a high price for quality dishes is absolutely something I don't mind doing... It has to make sense. For example, the Flower buds were $19, you get 5 - even though they were not mind blowing, originally it sounds expensive but they are hard to find and it's a speciality dish. That makes some sense. However... the rest? No. The pricing just doesn't make sense when the dish doesn't emulate a good reasoning for it. It's not bad but it's overpriced average food. If you want to try Chor Muang or what they call flower buds, I would recommend you try at least once.

For my birthday, I went here for the Tuesday Pad Thai special; And, went during Happy~Hour. I also wanted to experience the Tom Kha, which I got @ a medium~heat/level 3. As you can s๐Ÿ‘€ in the video th@ I posted th@ I had recorded for My~Man, I say, "The soup is superb." Also, I ordered the veggie spring~rolls. The two dipping sauces were great and the sliced carrots were a nice touch. Only thing I would say th@ I didn't like about them, was the fact th@ they bring you less than what a serving would normally be(I guess), because it was a Happy Hour item. Other than th@ and the price of the extra side of peanut~sauce not reflecting the price on the menu($1), everything thing was GREAT! My waitress was very attentive and even apologized for the wait when I first sat down, even though I hadn't been seated for very long. She even took her time to answer all of my questions and/or concerns. And then, she took the time to l๐Ÿ‘€k over the dessert menu for a vegan option for me when I asked her if they do anything special, as far as desserts if it is your birthday. So, she got me a lychee fruit to~go. The Pad Thai was very good as well; I upped the spice~level on th@ order to a number 4, since I did not find the soup to be all th@ spicy. I believe next~time, I will try the highest spice~level @ a number 5. Overall, I give 5 โญ's across the board. I will definitely be returning.

While it's only really worth going to Blue Orchid on lunch special or Pad Thai Tuesday for the price, you can't beat the quality and service. All of the ingredients are super fresh with a few inventive menu items for a different Thai food experience. Don't forget the creme brulee for dessert - it's the best thing they serve.

I had a great experience here with my girlfriend's family. We eat here pretty often when I come visit Jacksonville and the service is always great. We were assisted and sat right away by the hostess then our server quickly came by and took our orders when we were ready. The food came out fairly quick and tasted pretty good. Most of us had chosen the medium spicy level but some of us will definitely be going with mild next time as some dishes were a little spicier than we anticipated. Definitely come back for future visits!

Love Blue Orchid for the atmosphere, food, and service! We keep coming back for the good portions, friendly staff and beautiful decor! One of my favorites is the green curry with tofu and brown rice. Their PadThai is also good! Canโ€™t wait to try more!

I love trying Thai food. We had crispy duck curry, beef red curry, chicken roll and mint tea and everything was very good. The ambiance and service was excellent.

Great Chicken Drunken Noodles. Crab rangoon was also good. The galangal soup was good (wish it had Keffir lime leaves though). Beware of the sizes when ordering the soup (bowl versus cup; the bowl is huge). We can't wait to try more.

Lovely restaurant. Not noisy so conversation was easy. I did not make it past the starters. Flower buds were savory with a hint of sweet and the crunch of peanut. Presentation was beautiful. Ordered the son-in-law eggs because the name amused me and I love Scotch Eggs. These were neat-lightly breaded, nicely sauced, and the fried onions and garlic were a perfect counterpoint. Ordered an Old Fashioned so I added the photo. The others at our dinner loved the soup, curry, and stir fry. They say people go to a restaurant for the food but return for the service. I would definitely return for Collin. He was pleasant and informative.

WOWโ€ฆAmazing fine dining experience. Exotic ambiance, well dressed (read traditional Thai dressed) receptionist with so friendly servers. Service was quick and efficient. Food we just loved it. Be aware their spice level hot means really hot. We had Veggie Springroll, TomYum and Veg Soup. They have Vegan options which made things easy for us. Main course we took Tropical Fried rice (which came heart shape beautifully decorated) and Phad Thai. Only thing its a fine dining so bit expensive but otherwise your eyes, heart and tummy will love it.

The decoration of the Blue Orchid restaurant is absolutely fabulous! They really put effort in small details that are making this restaurant a true experience in itself. The entire staff is wearing beautiful clothing, there are incredible pictures/paintings with descriptions on the walls, and so many other things to look at all around. The food is insanely delicious! I took the drunken noodles, medium, with tofu and it was excellent. The portion were perfect as well as the temperature of the food. It was truly an explosion of flavor in my mouth for each bit! In all honesty, it is by far the best Thai restaurant I have tried in Jacksonville so far. Thank you!!!!
