There’s a gopher tortoise every step and we saw a yellow bellied racer! (That’s a snake). Nice bathrooms, air conditioned, and friendly rangers and staff. The trail is an easy 3 miles with some real gems! There’s a little oasis pond, a beach/marsh area, and a big sandy stretch where a bunch of gopher tortoises live. Amazing canopy of live oak and magnolia. Tons of native plants. And the road makes for an excellent bike ride! Plus we saw two peacocks. Highly recommend!

I’m always looking for a nice location to photograph when I’m traveling, and this was a great one. Not only because of the different subjects you will fine to shoot but for the whole dirty road and Spanish trees you have to go through to get there experience!

We spent a few hours hiking the trail here. Nice wide trail. Mix of sand and dirt. Well maintained trail. Plenty of canopy to provide shade. Had our dogs with us. Careful did find a tick on one of the dogs. Bring bug spray. Parking available at tour spot 4 or at the Ribault Club visitor center. Kingsley Plantation was closed.

An interesting historical park. A great place for a bike ride or a hike. Usually a quiet place to stroll about and learn about plantation era Florida. Definitely worth a side trip if you are visiting Little Talbot Island or Huguenot Park.

Great hiking place. Very cool and neat trail. There are more trails than what is shown on Strava or All Trails. Trail connects from here to Kings Plantation. Is a good trail to spend couple of hours and then sit and relax by the riverside. I was able to see some beautiful peacocks.

A friend and I did the 3 mile hike on the Fort George trail and had a marvelous time. There was so much to see! And there was TERRAIN! A bunch of slight hills sprinkled throughout as well as some shell mounds. Beautiful views of the water along the way, and all sorts of intriguing plants. The trailhead is a bit hard to find and not well marked. Park at the Ribault Club parking lot, then walk across the adjacent open field and then you'll see the trailhead signs. A very enjoyable 3 mile loop.

Very quiet, bare, unpretentious park, but beautiful for a couple hours hike. We did 3.5 miles and only saw two other people. (There were a few fishermen down by the water.). We did not venture to Mt. Cornelia on this trip, or the plantation, but those would have added some miles.
