We really enjoy ourselves every time we go to Ragtime. On the weekends they usually have live music.

Delicious as always. The coconut shrimp is my favorite. They have best cocktails as well. I will say they are short staffed so the service wasn’t like it was pre Covid. But for sure great views and people watching

This funny looking guy was the bartender. He's was rude, character sucked. His kind belongs on Jax beach, not Atlantic Beach. If I wasn't with my white boyfriend, he probably wouldn't have served me. Shady racist. Can't believe we're still going thru stuff like this. We ordered one drink, top shelf long island and it was weak and when my boyfriend asked him if it was top shelf, He called him a drunk. Totally out of line!! Never again.

Came in for the Fourth of July. It was understandably very busy. Had to be seated at the bar. One of the best red beans and rice I’d have ever had. Can’t say it enough. Ordered a crawfish dip that was insanely tasty as well. Drinks we’re normally priced. The only downside was the service and the blackened fish wrap. We waited around 20 minutes after we were done with our food until we could get the check. Tried flagging the bartender down but eyes forward 1000yd stare. Looked understaffed for the holiday so I’d say that’s more representative of the management and burnout. The blackened fish wrap: I don’t know who you’re trying to fool with all the talk of “Cajun remoulade sauce” but that was just deli mustard. There was so much on it that I couldn’t taste anything but mustard. It had so much mustard in it that the wrap went soggy before it got to the table. The other person I was with had better luck with her shrimp tacos which were actually very tasty.

We were in the area, and between the things around we choose this restaurant. The menu that was on Yelp, they have a LOT of dishes and different things. When we got in, empty. But the area is really nice, a lot of places to sit, we enjoy the environment. Drinks: just loved it. Special margarita and painkiller. This is the way drinks has to be. Not a lot of syrups and sugar or artificial flavor, it has to taste the liquor. Spot on! Crawfish dip: pita bread was delicious and the mixture was ok. Nachos. Flavorful, but even adding chicken, I thought the portion of chicken was small. But there is a lot of nachos. Sliders. Didn’t like it. It suppose to be delicious, but didn’t taste anything. The meat didn’t came medium temperature. The menu was missing a lot of things and the prices were higher than on internet. Server was friendly.

The salmon was outstanding, and the linguine offered a delightful mix of vegetables and sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed the superb selection of beers; my wife had the IPA while I opted for the red, and we couldn't resist trying the redfish, a delicious blend of light lager and red ale. 🍻 Tasty food and reasonably priced. And let's not forget the delicious vanilla bean ice cream with three delectable sauce options: strawberry, caramel, and hot fudge. 🍫 Overall, a truly enjoyable dining experience!👌🌟😍

I’ve never seen a smaller serving of Mahi. I’ve also never seen Mahi at market price either so I figured it’d be a nice sized fillet for $27. The restaurant industry is hurting but this was a major letdown.

Wonderful atmosphere. The food was amazing. I ordered the Cajun crawfish dip, salmon and the beignets. All amazing options. Food was prompt and delicious. I wish I could have eaten it all. The dip was a great starter. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The beignets were well accompanied by chocolate and strawberry sauce.

Loved the atmosphere. Fillet mignon with roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus were great once I scraped off the tremendous amount salt and was able to taste the food.

Although the restaurant was understaffed, we had excellent service. The waitress was very friendly, willing to give advice about local stores and items on the menu. The place was clean, and comfortable. The nachos on the menu were delicious, just the right amount of spice. Enty for two to share.

Making the reservation was an easy, friendly process. That was the high point of our Thanksgiving experience. Host was not friendly about accommodating my elderly mother who could not sit at a high top table in the bar on a backless barstool. When we were being reluctantly walked to a table in the dining room, I saw a high top table that had a bench seat as well as stools with backs that I asked about and where he agreed to seat us. Our server was friendly, but she struggled starting with several menu items—including the Thanksgiving turkey entree as well classics like Ragtime Shrimp—being unavailable. We had nine people in our party and our entrees were delivered in an extremely staggered fashion, which was very awkward for all of us. Many dishes were extremely salty. Our server had to be prompted to refill waters and iced teas, which we needed to counter the salty foods. We were all disappointed after many years of happy Ragtime memories and are unlikely to return.

Ragtime Tavern at Atlantic Beach is a gastronomic landmark, known for its unique blend of American and Cajun cuisines, paired perfectly with house-brewed craft beers. The tavern's ambiance, buzzing with energy and live music, creates an atmosphere that's both welcoming and exhilarating. Signature dishes like shrimp and grits or jambalaya offer a taste of Southern comfort, while the beer selection provides the perfect accompaniment to every meal. Ragtime isn't just a meal; it's a celebration of flavors and fun. RAC

Great atmosphere, good food. Our waitress Kristen was horrible. Didnt smile and she was very short with us. We were there tonight on vacation, first time there and was very excited to try a new place. Ordered drinks, an app, dinner and then dessert. She acted like it was a chore. The website said happy hour was 4-7. We asked if it was happy hour and she said no. (It was 545) okay with us but no smile, no expression. No explanation that website was wrong. Just rudeness all the way around.

We pulled up and parked in front of Rag Time Tavern, Seafood & Grille about 10:30 am and sat in the car and waited for the restaurant to open. My first impression prior to entering an employee was hosing off the sidewalk and I would assume that was a sign of a clean inside. the second impression grossed us out completely that I would not ever think about going inside the restaurant. I would say the gentleman that unlocked the doors was not a gentleman only an exceptionally gross inconsiderate redneck, he spit a huge ball of phlegm on the side walk turned around walked back inside the restaurant. We decided to go to North Beach Fish Camp, the food there was great and Rag Time Tavern Seafood & Grill will never see us in their establishment.

Only had the crawfish dip, our sweet waitress was so overworked with tables and the Bar Tender was only worried about a woman at the end of the bar. Sad that he wouldn't help the rest of the crew out!!!!!!!!!

Not a good experience tonight. Table of 4, dinner entrees did not arrive at the same time (10 min difference between first and last delivery). Then there was a hair in the Shrimp and Grits. There’s a lot of great places to eat in Jacksonville Beach. I probably will not return.

Nice place with good service, but way overpriced. Food was just ok. $20 plates were small, and drinks are insane. Got charged $11 for a Tito's and club soda. In an old fashioned I got charged $15 for the whiskey and another dollar for the obvious bottle mixture. Save your money.

I grew up in Atlantic Beach and when I return for a visit, Ragtime is a must. I have never had a bad meal and the service has always been good. I do miss their gold brick sundae that they did away with many years ago. That took me right back to younger days. We love this place.

Ordered 2 tuna steak dinners to be delivered for date night. They sent only 1. When calling to get the 2nd dinner sent, they told us oh well. We did get a refund for the dinner but absolutely no care or concern that they made a mistake. Very disappointed!

The salmon was excellent. I had the linguine which was as perfect blend of vegetables and sauce. The beer was superb. I had the red, my wife the IPA, and they mix a light lager and the red and call it the redfish. It’s a full body robust beer but a bit on the lighter side. All beers were great! We’re back tonight for side salads and the hot wings. Both were good and the wings were priced right! Did I say the beers were tasty?!? Ha! The ice cream was an excellent vanilla bean with three sauces options. Strawberry caramel and hot fudge .

Our server, Brooke, was kind, friendly and got all of our orders correct. Her recommendations were on point. She was great with our entire group! They were able to accommodate 12 of us and made for a great dinner. The crawfish dip and beignets were a big hit! Thanks for a fun night!

Went during happy hour. Sat at the bar nearest the beach (it's a block in from the beach, just that there is more than one bar inside and the one at the other end of the restaurant was pretty dead). Great happy hour specials on both food and drinks. Easily the best value we found near the beach. John was awesome behind the bar. Talked to several locals. Everyone there was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Nice food, good atmosphere, friendly service. Went with a friend on Saturday afternoon around 6:30 pm. To our surprise it was happy hour. So the mixed drinks were $5! I ordered a Mai Tai and you could taste the alcohol, fairly good flavor of the drink overall. My friend and I split the nacho appetizer and it was a lot of food for around $11 ish. The chips were really crispy which was my only slight complaint. Great toppings and lots of it, with a side of salsa for the chips that didn’t get much topping. I also ordered the pretzel bread appetizer too, it had jalapeño and garlic butter on top. Would go back.

This was the first restaurant I ever visited when I met my girlfriend and it will forever be one of my favorites. The food is phenomenal! Shrimp and grits are my #1! Always always get the Rice and Beans to go because it’s not your ordinary rice and beans. Last night we had the Wahoo and Blacked Mahi. The fish is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I you want a good appetizer try the Ragtime Shrimp or the Crawfish Dip. Ragtime is located a block from the beach and in the middle of so many other great spots. Whether it’s your first or last, be sure to stop in. Oh and be sure to ask for Troy!

We brought our “Buoy” Great Dane pup because BringFido says Ragtime is a good doggy patio spot. And he was pampered with water! We loved the Sunday Happy Hour drinks and appetizers
