This park is very nice, pretty empty around 11:00. There are lots of picnic tables and a huge open field. Definitely a great place if you want to get out and walk around. Tennis courts and a decent size playground as well.

Both North and South are great parks. The one located on Park Street is the older Park and smaller than the other one. The one located on St Johns Street has more equipment for children to use. These parks are usually clean. My nephews truly have a blast. This is a great way for kids to burn all that energy!

One of the most beautiful parks in Avondale/Riverside. Boone Park runs from Park Street to Herschel and then from Herschel to St. Johns Avenue. It totals 28 acres. The City purchased most of the property from William Elijah Boone in 1926. Mr. Boone (1853-1938) bought and then rebuilt locomotives, which he leased to local industries in North Florida and South Georgia. The park hosted the City’s major, public tennis tournaments for decades. Boone Park was recently renovated and has the following amenities: β€’ Bike Racks β€’ Bleachers β€’ Grills β€’ Parking β€’ Park Benches β€’ Picnic Shelters β€’ Picnic Tables β€’ Playground β€’ Restrooms β€’ Security Lighting β€’ Tennis Courts (Lighted) There are playgrounds on both the St. Johns Avenue and the Park Street sides but the tennis courts, pavilions, picnic tables, and restrooms are all on the Park Street side.

My kids absolutely love this park. It's a great place to just let them run and play. Always a lot of parents Milling about, picnics happening in the park, and kids playing. Great Park equipment. A lot of benches for parents to sit on. Great location. The only downside is I didn't see any restrooms, but I didn't look very hard

It was a wonderful experience. Kids loved it and it was in the shade. We went late July, and it was hot, but didn't feel as bad in the shade. Took off one star for no restrooms, as kids need to go unexpectedly.

Boone Park South is perfect for β€œforest bathing.” Such a peaceful place with its grand old trees and circling paths.

Went to Boone park playground with my kids and they loved it. They made new friends and enjoyed this nice playground. This is partially shaded by the trees around. We will definitely go back.

Great playground for the kids! Just a short walk from shops and restaurants, tons of shade and fun playground equipment. Only downside is there are no bathrooms.

Very nice community park. The trees and walking trails were my interest. The playground kept the interest of the kids at play. Clean and pet friendly. If you do go, clean after your kids and/or pets. (Remember to make it better than you found it. )

Since Moving here 6 months ago this spot has become one of my favorite places for dog training. There is loads of squirrels so its a perfect place for distraction training. The playground is fantastic too!

This is one of my most favorite parks to bring our children. We normally come between early afternoon to mid-afternoon and there are plenty of other kids who are well-behaved. We have never had a bad experience.

I recently visited the newly renovated Boone Park playground in the Avondale area and had a fantastic experience. The park offers a wide range of amenities, making it a great destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The playground itself is well-designed and provides a safe and enjoyable space for children to play. The addition of picnic areas and shelters makes it convenient for families to have a meal or enjoy a picnic together. The park also boasts a Tennis Complex, adding another recreational option for visitors. Overall, Boone Park playground is a wonderful place to spend time outdoors, with its diverse amenities catering to different interests. Whether you're looking for a fun-filled day with the kids or a peaceful picnic in a beautiful setting, this park has it all.

Boone Park is a Duval treasure, with North and South ends of the park (and lots of peaceful space in between) that offer families and individuals of all types something to fall in love with in the City, in the Outdoors, with serene and social options aplenty.

Beautiful and safe walking trails. People are generally courteous and keep dogs on leashes while people walk around the trails. Huge trees and nature sounds mixed in the middle of a residential area. It’s a nice little getaway.

We really enjoyed our time at the Boone Park north playground. It was very nice to meet a few other parents there and enjoy casual conversations while children also played with each other on the equipment.

Great park... The squirrels are chunky and happy here and not scared so don't mess with them... Caught a few Pokemon also

Great park in the heart of the historic district. The playground off St. Johns Ave is our favorite. It has so much to do for every age group - swings, climbing gym, merry-go-round, etc. There is also a nice shaded walking path that lets you do a loop around the park. On the other side by Park St, there is a tennis complex and another playground with restrooms. Every year there is a group that plants trees in the South section which is a rewarding way to give back and teach kids to take care of where they play. Plus the tree planting is helping ensure the park will be great for generations to come!
