A must visit place in Jaipur for authentic Indian food. We reached Handi at 10 pm, the place was not crowded and there was no waiting at all. The staff was very courteous and humble. I specifically went there to try the famous Laal Maas of Handi, and I was pleased with the preparation. The food was amazing and I loved it. Overall it was a great experience and should be definitely visited if you are in Jaipur.

Locals suggested this place to me to try authentic lal maas. As always there was waiting jn this restuarant, after 20 or so minutes we got teh table, table waa so dirty they took atleast 10 mins tk clean the table. After that order they took was after 10-15 mins. We asked for glass to drink water they provided it after 5, mins. We ordered laal maas and chicken handi, quantity was very disappointing. Taste was not that great, mutton pieces were soft. Then we asked for rice, rice was low standard we had left almost half rice. Overall experience was not good in this restuarant. Disappointing was the service. Staffs are overloaded, they must hire additional staff to cater the guests.

Loved the decor of the place and the mix of Rajasthani royal with western style Enough seating available and suitable for large couples and couples too. They have a huge variety of food options to choose from. Laal maas is a popular dish, but I didn't try it though. I tried the Galuoti kebab and it was great. Paneer Mattar was decent too. They also serve alcohol here. Look out for a discount in Zomato and they also have some in-house offers. Digital payments are all accepted.

What a experience that was!!!! I visited the place around 9 pm and the rooftop sitting look absolutely beautiful. I ordered laal maas, chicken handi and junglee maas and man oh man.. all the items were too delicious. The staff was very cooperative and friendly. I was on short trip to jaipur so couldn’t explore vegetarian menu, i would definitely recommend this place for Laal maas and junglee maas.

⭐ I recently dined at Handi's restaurant in Jaipur, and I must say my experience was quite disappointing. Despite its reputation as one of the top restaurants in Jaipur, I found myself unsatisfied with several aspects of my visit. Firstly, the food left much to be desired. I ordered the Lal Maas, hoping for an authentic taste, but what I received was a letdown. The dish contained boiled mutton in gravy, which didn't align with my expectations of a flavorful, traditional Lal Maas preparation. Unfortunately, the issue extended to other non-vegetarian dishes as well, making the overall dining experience underwhelming. The service and ambiance also didn't live up to my expectations. The service was lackluster, and the ambiance didn't create the inviting atmosphere one would hope for when dining at a reputed restaurant. In summary, my visit to Handi's restaurant in Jaipur was a disappointment. Despite its reputation, the food, service, and ambiance did not meet my expectations. I hope they can address these issues to provide a more satisfying dining experience for their customers in the future.

It's a good chain restaurant. The food is fragrance-full, perfectly cooked and delicious. The quantity is good so the price is high too. We wanted to order cocktails before dinner. But most of the alcohol was out of stock. That was unbearable. The waiter was helpful. Asked for extra stuff and they managed nicely. The place is convenient. Car parking is available.

Lal Maas and kababs are must try i have visited it during my jaipur trip. And its one of my favorite place. Staff is also very nice and very humble. Ambience is great. Many vegetarian and options are there. Garlic bread is so soft and nice which i haven't eaten is a while. Many cocktail and mocktails are available.

A lovely rooftop restaurant located in the heart of the city. Everything is so perfect here , the ambience , the staff behaviour , environment, view. The only thing that is worse is the Food. Will recommend at least the non vegetarian not to visit this place. Such an awful taste of the Chicken and mutton served here. Every food is just so bad but never dare to taste the Handi Chicken here. That would just be a nightmare for you. You can visit this place in the evening on a good weather day and get something to drink (Water Preferably - Because that's the only thing which tasted good to me) Although I'm a Non-alcoholic person, I can recommend this if you consume alcohol. They are at comparatively lower rates , Also as they came packaged, so hopefully they will not taste bad.

We were looking for a restaurant serving non veg late at night and stopped by handi... The ambience is good and there is a QR code scan at each take to place order Quickly.. We ordered chicken curry and kali mirch chicken, tawa roti and lachha parantha Chicken curry & kali mirch chicken - it's the same gravy and no difference in taste. They cost almost same but chicken curry surprisingly comes with less pieces. Taste is super spicy but good Tawa roti - it was hard n chewy Lachha paratha - little chewy

Well if you are coming here to try specifically β€œLal Maas” then I would say it’s a must go. Rest everything we ordered was average in taste. (Garlic Naan : it was okay, but was too hard to chew) (Butter Chicken : the taste was very blunt) (Kadhai Paneer : the taste again was very average) (Jungle Maas : tasted more or less like a tandoori chicken) (Laal Maas : this was the best dish here, bit spicy but I guess that’s what it’s famous for.) Would sum up the experience on the below ratings: Taste : 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 4/5

An old and iconic place on mi Road for food. The restaurant is located on rooftop second floor. The setup is typical old jaipur and they haven't upgraded much. The taste is good and have gold rajasthani flavours. they have a nice range of food and drink options. They also have a branch in Vaishali Nagar but whenever possible late in night we try to visit the mi road one for the nostalgia. Slight improvement in taste, ambiance and service is still required.

Food is amazing, service is really good. Ordered some β€˜Laal Maas’ and bread, it had perfect spice and flavour. I thought I will get some old restaurant feel because it’s 1960’s restaurant, which was missing. Go without any expectations! Your own taste buds can only decide the taste, not other’s reviews.

Over hyped place This was on my wishlist when I read a lot of reviews about what should one try when in Jaipur. Every other blogger mentioned about the famous laal maas of Rajasthan.. so even I ordered the same .... Honestly it was not at all worth the price and the amount of people hyping about this dish from this restaurant.... Yes it was spicy but that was the only thing that I could taste... They literally serve 2 pieces in half plate that cost 400 .... I also ordered jaisalmeri chaap ... Which was again bland in taste .. the texture was not even close to that of chaap .. I don't know how they managed to make it taste like a potato ..... 8 small pieces were served and this costed approx 400 ..the rumali roti costed 30rs per piece πŸ˜… .. overall wastage of money and a big time mood spoiler place ....

Great food, one of my fav. If you like spicy food then try Laal Maas and garlic naam. Amazing combo. If you feel meat is less then take mutton kabab and add in the gravy and have your main course. Lal maas mutton kabab and 3 garlic naam costed around 1200 rs only. Enough for 2 people. They alao give free gulab jamun if we put review.

Good place in Jaipur to try the popular β€œLal Maas”. Great kick of spices in every bite. The mutton was beautifully cooked with the meat just melting in your mouth. Went well with butter naan. Also had galouti kebabs and butter chicken. Both dishes were tasty. Good ambience, great service and quite affordable.

I am from Delhi and I was in search for authentic Laal maas and Handi was one of the most recommended on Google. The food was definitely not bad I'd say, but I'd not give it a 5/5. Food ordered- 1. Paneer Tikka 2. Butter naan 3. Rumaali roti 4. Lahori soya chaap masala 5. Laal maas Laal maas- toooo spicy, good kick, my stomach was feeling all sorts of different, no kidding. Butter naan- too salty, and loaded with butter. Soya chaap- Was okayish. Soya could have been cooked better and a little more spice would have helped. Very average. Paneer Tikka was good! The biggest problem is the price. Oh my god. Definitely highly priced for absolutely no reason. The quantity and quality do not justify the price.

I found this restaurant to be a great value for money! After reading the reviews, I ordered Junglee maas and tawa chicken. Junglee maas was good (looked like it was re-fried though) but I found the tawa chicken's taste to be better. The portion size was huge and the semi-gravy was absolutely delicious. The dish was however extremely oily and the chicken pieces were a bit hard. Definitely a great place if you're looking for value for money and taste! Not the place if ambience or healthy eating is a priority.

The rajisthani food was delicious, especially their Laal mans and shikari Maas. The mutton was mix of fat and meat, delicious and properly spiced. We were surprised with the service as the food was coming out of their kitchen quite quickly. We also ordered their chicken handi, which is Muglai dish and it was horrible. So much so that we left it as it is. Their bajre ki roti was delicious as well and paired well with laal maas. All and all an enjoyable and tasty trip. Their rajisthani food is delicious. I deducted one star for their chicken kadhai.

Handi since 1982 is an authentic resturant serving Indian Cuisines .I ate Lal Maas, Jungli chicken and they both were my favorite .The taste was superb and amazing. The chicken and mutton were gull of favour. The service is quick and swift. Its a must visit food stop in Jaipur. They serve liquor also a d the place is having an outdoor sitting also.

Delicious food here, especially the Rajasthani dishes. The Jaisalmer laal mas, junglee chicken, and gatta masala, in particular, are fragrant, spicy, and excellent. There’s also some smoky grill action going on outside at night, which bodes well for the kebabs. Friendly service caps the experience. Definitely worth visiting .

People visit here only for Jungli Maas and Laal Maas. My experience: Jungli Maas is a worthy dish but Laal Maas is not upto mark as it had no taste of mutton except the smell of dried chillies and lots of exotic spices. Roof top seating arrangement will give you a good feel (they have some seats of Rajasthani style).

A good place for dining out with your friends or family. Its a roof top restaurant and the view from the restaurant is something you would love. They serves alcohol and nonveg also. You must try Lal Mas here. Based on your preference you could ask them to use chilli otherwise it would be really hot. Prices are comparatively higher than other restaurants in the region.

Consider this as 4.5 star... Very amazing food and portions are very good. The service and table care takers were fast and attentive. Special mention is their junglee Maas ( dry) amazing taste and chicken bhuna masala is delicious. Veg options are as good as non veg and with authentic taste.

We were group of three friends visiting Jaipur over the weekend. We had huge expectations from this restaurant about the Speciality dish : Laal Maas but sadly we were disappointed not just because of the Laal Maas but also the hospitality of this overhyped Restaurant. I felt Jaipur is heaven for Vegetarian dishes which we loved but non veg probably we went to wrong place like this. Hospitality Matters: We had tried to reserve table using Dineout, and then we took a cab to the restaurant. After reaching at this place, first we went to the lower floor of the restaurant and it was sort of gloomy and empty so we asked about the rooftop section. I enquired about the reservation, the staff said the rooftop people will assist us with it. We moved on to the rooftop, it was beautiful. We enquired about the table reservation and the staff at the counter was like there aren't any reservations and there is some payment issue so please go to the lower floor although 70% of the tables were empty. I insisted we want to sit here, so he was like there is some payment issue. I was like what payment issue, we haven't even ordered anything. Not sure what was going on. Later there was another staff who assisted us to a table of our choice. Food: The main reason we visited this place was for Laal Maas. We ordered Laal Maas, bajra Roti, Tandoori Roti, and Fried Rice It was the first time I was having Laal Maas so I'm not really sure what the hype was all about Laal Maas. It wasn't anything extraordinary. Moreover, there were only two tiny pieces of mutton with bones, meat was very little. The Bajra Roti was Ok-ish and the tandoori Roti was good. Chicken Fried Rice wasn't great. We've had better ones. Cost: Bajra Roti was 65/- per piece. It's not at all worth the price. Laal Maas was okay for the price. Chicken fired rice was waste of money. Tandoori Roti was definitely worth it. Overall, this place is overpriced considering the hospitality, location & food quantity and taste. Service & Ambiance: I'll be posting pics of the place, so we loved the ambiance. The service staff need better training as they appeared lethargic and seemed disinterested. The spoons and one of the plate wasn't clean we had to ask to replace them. It was done. Verdict: This place isn't worth the hype, the waiters and staff need proper hospitality training.

This place was recommended by almost all the websites on internet for Laal Maas. If you are visiting and ordering it, ask them to keep it less spicy. It was very spicy, I had some stomach issues later. Tandoori roti was very crisp and amazing. They offer some great chutney as well. Their mocktails are Ok. Overall it was a nice experience, staff was very professional and caring.

Want to have Lal Maas (called Junglee Maas at Handi)with authentic flavour ,Handi restaurant is the place to be in!! Handi chicken is also tasty. I had a chance to have a meal at Handi. I ordered their famous Laal maas which was juicy, tender, and delicious. Rogan josh and garlic naan were a perfect combination to relish on a rainy day. We visited Handi Restaurant @MI Road Jaipur, the food was awesome and ambience at the roof top also was decent with a view of the Fort. The only let down was the service being a bit slow. PS: Avoid the roof top if going with elderly or people with difficulty in walking as you would need to take stairs upto 4th floor. They also have indoor seating arrangements at ground floor. Enjoy your food!!

This roof top restaurant is very popular amongst local people too. Open air and dimly lit. During peak dinner time it may really get crowded with waiting. At that time service may become an issue too. Their tandoori non veg items are excellent. Yellow dal tadka is something I loved. On the dessert side there is nothing for special mention.
