Landmark monument at Jaipur and popularly known as Hawa Mahal. This 5 storey building has windows making it airy and doesn't have stairs but one can go up to 5th Floor and enjoy the view of the city.

Jai Niwas Garden was a very incredibly structured observatory... built many years ago and has been so well maintained. This place does have a lot of tourists but it is big enough that you have an incredible time. It is amazing how innovative this was back in its time. Still today completely accurate. My suggestion is have a guide. Not your tuk tuk driver but a "red card" holding guide. These people are literally masters of Indian history and culture. I guarantee that you will learn so much and be totally happy you got a guide. This would always be a wonderful place to sit and ponder about the possibilities.. of everything. @FollowBrownBacon

Good places to witness the ancient history and techniques used to calculate time and star movements. You need to hire a guide to understand each and every aspect. If not it will be just a blocks.

It's a beautiful garden here but it's going like a temple. One who visits this place can roam here and take some pictures . some of the people were taking reels . Felt like a garden gradually changing to a temple.

Hawa Mahal was really crowded but is a must visit just to appreciate the handiwork. If you are travelling alone, then do ask some local of the gate for this place as you may miss the entrance for the market nearby. Badi Chopad is the nearest metro where you can get out of gate no.2 (if I remember it right).

Due to lack of time i was not able to visit the place in the day time, but was able to have a glimpse of it in the evening. The building looked fantastic with imaginative lighting. There was moderate crowd enthusiastically clicking selfies, but what drove me scared is the traffic which was crazy and the madness all around. But fortunately there was enough police doing a good job of coordinating the crowd and traffic

The instruments made by old mathematicians will be seen here. Which is a very good thing. Entry fee 52 Rs per person. Mobile and camera are allowed.

Jai Niwas Garden in Jaipur has a unique and interesting display of ancient scientific tools used for measuring. The collection was extensive and well-curated, and I appreciated the effort that went into presenting this fascinating piece of history. In addition to the impressive display, the garden itself had a lovely ambiance that made it a pleasure to explore. The lush greenery and well-maintained grounds were a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. One thing to note is that there is drinking water available on the premises, which is a nice touch for those visiting on a hot day. However, I am not sure about the parking facility, so it's worth doing some research before you go. If you happen to be a student, be sure to bring your ID card with you as there is compensation available. This is a great incentive for students who are interested in learning more about the history of scientific measurement. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to Jai Niwas Garden for anyone interested in history, science, or simply a relaxing afternoon in a beautiful setting. The unique display of ancient measuring tools is truly fascinating, and the garden itself is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city.

Jay Neaws Garden is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Jaipur, Rajasthan, offering a serene escape from the bustling city life. My recent visit to this enchanting garden left me captivated by its beauty and tranquility. As you step into the garden, you are immediately greeted by lush greenery and meticulously landscaped pathways. The well-maintained garden is a testament to nature's beauty and human creativity working in harmony. It's a perfect place for nature enthusiasts, photographers, and those seeking a peaceful retreat. One of the standout features of Jay Neaws Garden is the diverse collection of flora it houses. The garden boasts a wide array of colorful flowers, ornamental plants, and shady trees that provide respite from the scorching Jaipur sun. The well-organized flowerbeds and the symphony of colors make it a paradise for anyone with an appreciation for botany. For families and children, the garden also offers a well-designed play area. It's a fantastic place for kids to run around and have fun while their parents can relax and enjoy the surroundings. The garden is not only a testament to the city's natural beauty but also a community space for the locals. During my visit, I was struck by the peace and serenity that permeated every corner of the garden. It's an ideal spot for meditation, picnics, or simply unwinding with a good book. The garden's well-placed benches and gazebos make it easy to find a tranquil spot to enjoy some personal time. In conclusion, Jay Neaws Garden in Jaipur is a delightful retreat for anyone seeking a break from the city's hustle and bustle. With its lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and peaceful atmosphere, it's a place where nature and tranquility come together. Whether you're a tourist or a local resident, a visit to Jay Neaws Garden is a refreshing experience that's sure to leave you with lasting memories of its beauty and charm.

I went to this place to check out the holi preparations. Unfortunately there was a lot of police protocols that did not allow you to enter the premises. Holi is a time all rules change, so it's best you check with a local before visiting during holi. Everything is super commercialized in the area so you will be asked to pay extra for every entry into their gates. What I've never seen before was the holi flame being taken from city palace and being passed to other places in Jaipur. If you can stay there till the time holi pyre is lit, you must not miss it.

Where past and present meet. The observatory, where time has been accurately measuring time from the heavens since 18th century. The Jantar Mantar includes some 20 main fixed instruments. Unesco states on its site that : They are monumental examples in masonry of known instruments but which in many cases have specific characteristics of their own. Designed for the observation of astronomical positions with the naked eye, they embody several architectural and instrumental innovations. This is the most significant, most comprehensive, and the best preserved of India's historic observatories. It is an expression of the astronomical skills and cosmological concepts of the court of a scholarly prince at the end of the Mughal period. I was suggested getting a guide. It can get crowded.

Jai Niwas Garden or you call it City place both are the same only. This is the place where the Founder of Jaipur lives and ruled Jaipur. Their blessings are there. Very well maintained. There are different types of museums inside it. I like the transport mode Museum, where all different types of cart of Kings display. The silver cart is superb. And the Elephant armored, lovely

Lots of people living inside this fort and they are selling various stuff like clothes , jewelry, stones etc. Fort is pretty big and things can get confusing during visit, getting a guide is recommended. Always take govt approved guides and their rates are fixed and clearly displayed. Inside the fort there are Jain and Hindu temples , those are beautiful. Fort itself is beautiful and shops are very colorful. There are lots of places to eat and plenty of wash rooms available. Overall it's a must visit place if you are in Jaisalmer.

There are few things that show that Kings that time were way advanced when it comes to foreseen ness. The WORLDS BIGGEST CANON STANDS TALL THERE. which was used only once and could fire up to 35 kms. There is a water tank which still is a good example of water harvesting.

It's just an open space and one video centre where you can watch the history of this place and get to know about this architecture and it's importance to know about time n all where the watch/time system was not there

Jainiwas garden is also called as jantar mantar situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is a unique garden with instrument of astronomy. This is the only place where these instruments are in working condition. It is amazing to know the astronomical knowledge of our ancestors. Visiting the place without a guide is like visiting any park. Visiting the place after spending thousands of rupees, if we try to save rs.400/- , it will be foolish on our part. It is really amazing.

It is a good place to visit and the beauty of Hawa Mahal just absolutely Authentic. You can also visit the Sewai Maan Singh Museum II which is around 1.5km near Hawa Mahal. The view of Nahargarh Fort from the inside of Hawa Mahal is just breathtaking. Even you can also visit the Jantar Mantar near the Hawa Mahal.
