Located in CBD, a small building behind Jaya Building, its unique and visited by many expat who known this bar before. There no other clubs like this in town.

Food, full bar service, pool table, friendly staff and patrons. A more mature crowd (well, at least older!) skewing more heavily towards ex-pats than locals. Prices are reasonable. Cash and credit cards accepted. Good amount of English understood here. The other reviewers say it well. Not sure a younger crowd would enjoy this place so much, but if you're over 35 odds are you're going to love it. Live music often. Canned music otherwise. Both are louder than I'd prefer but loud enough you can sing/yell along to without feeling self-conscious. Though they close at 2am last call is around 1:15am and the place is definitely in shut-down mode. Good but basic selection of liquor. They can make cocktails on request, not just from the menu. Drinks are strong! The place is clean without feeling sterile. You definitely feel like you stand in a long line of happy patrons, but you don't feel disgusted by that. Bathroom is cleaner than most bar bathrooms I've been in! I didn't try the food but I would next time I come - the menu is more extensive than just the traditional SE Asian fried food you find at a lot of other places. Pool table is in an alcove with good space. It's in surprisingly good condition and the cues are workable. Definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Jakarta!

The entertaining home band is also a charming issue. When you enter this place, you are amazed with 80's or 90's atmosphere and environment. Including the songs. If you like to play pool, there is one installed pool in the corner. The price of beverages and foods are also affordable. Spending much time here since then.

A place that has been passed the test of time, many times! Nothing changed since they opened, even down to the details such as coaster and ashtray. The staff mostly remain the same since the 80s. Two home bands play until 3am, don't mind the sound quality or else, but you will sure have fun. Surprisingly the patron range from those on their 20s to 60s, and manage to blend well between generations.

First comin here circa 2015, and still comin here biweekly/ at least once a month. For me its an old gem in Central Jakarta. 70's-80's vibes are ready to serve. Even the POS like a pc running with DOS. You can find the toet toet there, a kind like little honk which we often see it placed on abang siomay/cilok as the claps or cheering tools when the band/performer do something amusing. The bartender and the waitress looks like Dono Kasino Indro's era pub style. Don't forget about the band's playlists from evergreen love song to 80's glam rock always ready. Ah, this place also a place for a special event called SUPERBAD, (only once like in a quarter, not regularly). That event is great, especially if you like or interest in indonesia indie music scene.

There is a bar counter, and there are tables around the edge of pub, above which hang horns that you can honk if you enjoy the music (fun!) A billiards table is also available. The crowd when I was there was a mix of international and local. On the evening I was there, things livened up considerably around 9pm when the band took the stage, drawing in more customers and regulars (it was pretty empty before then - actually fine if you want a quiet drink earlier in the evening.) I would give it a higher score but I think it needs a bit of renovation, however if in the area and in need of a drink and a band, this is the place I would go!

My first time to visit this old place. My friend said that this is very legend pub in Jakarta, even the waiters are senior like my grandma. The atmosphere is very good, my friends are very happy to come to this place, the drink, omg, need to be careful. It looks like ice tea, named KO, very strong dan dangerous. So I just order ice tea instead to trick my friends 😅

This pub is fabolous. The pub itself has already been there for 25 years. They also got a pool. The musics era are 70's until early 90's, they play some country music as well. The ambience and staffs are so friendly. The drinks are also great, however it's a bit pricey. Their special drink is "cendana", I believe it's a strong mixed of vodka, gin, whiskey, limes, cherry liquor; only God knows what's inside. I also ordered the singaporean sling, the taste is standard.

This is me and my boyfriend's favorite bar in Jakarta because of their old and retro atmosphere. We love their music every Saturday night and the ambience will make you feel like you're going back in time to the 60's or 70's. Not much variation of beer though and their price rates are targeted to expats budget.

Tight enclosed room turned into ashtray. Been to different pubs that allow smoking but the ventilation in here is just terrible. Wait staff are grumpy not hospitable or maybe it's just the racist bias they have. Band they had during my visit plays instruments good but have terrible vocals.

Jaya still maintain its authentic messy look in the new building within Gedung Jaya compound. They succeededly restored all trivia quotations and posters in the new building. The smell of an old wooden bar mix with beer flavor and vintage sanitary is still there.

The Jaya pub feels like an old pair of shoes, perhaps not the best to look at but once you step through the door its immediately comfortable. I've not been back here for 30 years (!) but the place feels like it was back in the day. Noisy, smoky and rundown, probably the best place in Jakarta to enjoy live music, a rowdy crowd and a good selection of drinks. No objections to singing along on stage with the band if you feel particularly talented :-)
