Throwback to 2017. Another classic vibes; Tugu Kunstkring. Is it correct if I said that Tugu Kunstkring is one of the most classic fine-dining Indonesian restaurants in Jakarta? Look at the interior! Isn't it? In the picture below, it was the spot that highlighted Pecinan/Peranakan decoration. For the food, actually I forgot how it tasted, but as I remembered, nothing to complain.

Beautifully arrange in traditional setting, the atmosphere is amazing and makes you feels like you're part of an old rich family! Althought some might feel like haunted instead (lol). Staff are attentive and super nice, but the food is a 50/50 of hit and miss... Some are just so good that I wish i have more stomach room for it, others feels like it got cooked trough their own ancestor (like cooked to long or something) - context: I was there for my cousin's intimate wedding. I still wish to get another wedding invitation for this place tho! Keep it up for the service and hope to taste the other menu :)

OMG this is one of historical place! U can see many painting, statue n other stuffs! There is painting exhibition on the 2nd floor.. There is shop inside. Oiya u can celebrate your birthday here! And also you can order Indonesian food! Deliciousoooo

Fourth time already. Similar experience. For those who are familiar with the menu, there will be no new experience. The ambience of the restaurant and the way they serve the main course are the main attraction. Food wise, it is almost similar with standard Indonesian traditional food.

The place is artistic with "ancient" feel to it, so many art works such as painting and sculpture. Food was great, and my Professor praised it with enak. I don't know about the price though, since I was there on an invitation 🙈 But I guess it's quite pricey since the ones who visit this place are mostly expatriat 🤭

Everything in the rijsttafel set menu is so good. Highly recommend trying. We especially loved the okra, oxtail, and the DESSERT. One of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. Overall food and service is five stars. They should reconsider the choice of music however

If you dream of privat weeding party, maybe you can choose this place. Because the area isn't wide. Parking area is placed at the opposite way. The lighting is just dimly lit, maybe because most of the ornaments have dark color. Don't expect too much to the taste of food. It's kind of so-so for me. But most of all, good ambience.

This is a very aesthetic place. The building, the attributes and the vibes are really great. I was amazed once when I entered, the architecture was really cool, the info was that it was one of the original Dutch heritage buildings and at the same time it felt spooky too, hehhe. The atmosphere inside is warm, the service is very friendly. There are lots of Caucasians eating here. The menu is in Dutch and English, so it's a bit confusing. For the price, you could say it's a bit expensive, but the taste is pretty good. It's great anyway.

Imagine museum with fine dining, in a good sense. Historical building, extremely posh original colonial antic decoration. Food was amazing and we had a building tour after dinner. Only problem we had were mosquitoes, not sure if it was because of table location or if they are everywhere in the building. Highly recommended for art and history enthusiasts and gourmet food lovers.

What a great place to visit! The building is gorgeous, both on the outside and the inside. It’s a colonial building from the Dutch era. Bring Dutch ourselves it was extra special to be there. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and the food is amazing! Make sure to walk around (you’re allowed to!) and explore the different rooms and also go upstairs to visit the gallery. Every month they change the artwork we’ve been told. When visiting Jakarta make sure to go here: you will not be disappointed!
