True that the atmosphere is bit crowdy like market. Therefore, a waitress named "Putri" has shared my table with other people WITHOUT PERMISSION. I don't say it is not allowed but I still sit there and she should ask to me first. Suddenly i feel that the service is not whole heartedly for all guests. I even pay for almos 400k to get breakfast in here and what I got is worse service from Satoo waiters. Food is OK despite several stall like stir fried beef are too salty. Once more, waitress named "Nafa" ignored me a lot when I need a napkin and small spoon. The hell you just in front of me and ignore it.

After the long many months of the outbreak crowd avoidance, this was the first buffet dinner in which we were looking forward to but it was a little disappointing. I’m a fan of Shangri-La, but this time is a real disappointment. Here’s why a 3-star review. The guests capacity was alright, around 50% however the staff are seems to be overwhelmed. Requested for a glass of warm drinking water but it didn’t came. The satay was cold. The sushi was a little dry, taste is flat unlike the real sushi prepared by Japanese chef that is moist and a hint of vinegar taste to it. The Shashimi was a total failure - the bit and pieces of raw fishes cuts are in various size and some are really smaller loose pieces which looks like remnants from the cut. The braised lamb at the Chinese cuisine counter was overcooked, it’s hard and chewy. The only dishes that we enjoyed was the food from the Indian cuisine counter, it’s flavourful. Most of the desserts were just in flat sweet taste, except the chocolate ice cream which was alright. Wished that the buffet dinner come with hot drink (coffee and tea) which most buffets does.

Everything you could expect from a fine dining restaurant in a five-star hotel. With a lot of varieties of food, from Indonesian culinary, Japanese, Indian, as well as Western, all of them are delicious, so it's truly a culinary adventure in one place. Recommended. However, pick your time wisely, as the restaurant might be full on certain occasions and eat sensibly.

Satoo is one of the best buffet restaurants in Jakarta. Satoo has various menus that you can try, from Indonesian, Indian, Japanese, Western and Chinese food. Their favorite menus are Indian cuisine and meatballs. But personally I love their peking duck. The service was good and fast. This place is perfect for your special occasion with family and friends.

Good and comfy buffet/all-u-can-eat style resto. There are various cuisine served here. The Indonesian food is very good. 9/10 I really love the way they serve Indonesian/Javanese herbal drink. The Indian food quite nice. 8/10 Western food just okay. 6/10 The sushi is also quite nice. 8.5/10 Service is very excellent and friendly. 10/10 The interior is super comfy 9/10

24 March 2021 — I haven’t dine in SATOO for a quite long time and decided to spend my mom birthday in there. Honestly I’m kinda sad to see less food variation than it used to be. Although the food variations wasn’t really up to my expectation, I genuinely want to thank SATOO staff for their service and kindness. I hope to see more variations on my next visit.

Stay in Shangri-La for business purpose and spending 4 days breakfast in here. Rasa makanannya terbaik terutama cappucino, coklat, bread butter pudding (7 stars class), a very-warm and very well served by one of their staff Pak Deddy. The first time i wanna say thank you to make my breakfast the most enjoyable experience. Pak Deddy terbaik, he deserve to be role model on how to serve sihhh!!!! Cant wait to be here again.

Every meal was Delicious. The Staffs were Helpful and Informative about the Food Options. I Like the Sushi, Dessert was A Class but to me the Star of All was the Sweet and Sour Fish. Excellent ! Ambience quite okay. It was a Pleasant Dining Experience.

Satoo is a restaurant in Shangri-la hotel. This is where the hotel customer get their breakfast. There are very large variety of food here. Indonesia, western, Chinese, Indian, etc. The food is OK but not too special. You only get 1 person for breakfast and needed to pay for others. The waitress is very helpful.

Coming back here after years of absence. Once a very popular spot for people enjoying a great evening or lunch together. Sadly a lot have change in what was once the benchmark of food and beverage service in Jakarta. The food are still great however the ambience that once a serene and warm are sadly no longer there. None of the service staffs are aware that the speaker played an out of tune music and thus create so what a fast food dining room feel. We still enjoy the food and its massive selection to choose from. We do hope Shangri-La management can look into refreshing Satoo and be more mindful on the very details.

A very delicate restaurant with designated decoration and layout for you to enjoy your meals inside. There are various kinds of cuisine from different geographies. Traditional Indonesian herbal drinks, Jamu calls my attention since it is not usually available in buffet. You can tell the staff what you like in order to let her customized it for you. Traditional Indonesian and Chinese cuisine are really yummy. Do not forget fruit pallets, deserts and ice creams to fulfill your stomach. A good place for friends and families to enjoy your time or hangouts on weekends or leisure time. Enjoy yourself here.

I and my big family went to this restaurant this afternoon to have family lunch to celebrate Chinese new year. We took buffet option for our lunch. The food was nice. You can find a lot of variety of food such as Chinese food, Japanese food, Indian food, Western food as well as Indonesian food. Ice cream, fruit, cakes were provided for dessert. It was too bad that the sushi and sashimi was not well served. There was no Salmon when we went there. The sushi can be better. As this day is special day for Chinese people to celebrate Chinese New Year. The restaurant was very full and crowded. We have to queue for quite a long time around 20 minutes to take our food. I think the queue system can be managed better in order to reduce waiting time. Otherwise it seems like we go to wedding standing party. The good thing is this restaurant located inside Shangri-La hotel which has large green field. Our kids were happy that they can play at the green field. There are a lot of good spots to take a photos. Overall nice restaurant. Looking forward to see any improvements in the future

Great hospitality! Loving their dessert selection. We came during lunch and they provide indian, asian, and western food. Sushi, soto, bakso, pasta, pizza, prata, roasted chicken, dimsum, and Indonesian food such as penyet. For beverage, besides wine, you can also get Jamu Indonesia (kunyit, beras kencur). The buffet selection here is quite impressive in terms of layout and presentation. Assorted food ala Japanese, Italian, Indian, Chinese, a few indonesian and Western are there to satisfy the palettes. The desserts are heavenly, colorful and have so many variants, be it a pastry or ice cream and cakes. Taste wise some are impressive such as the chicken white fungus soup, fried noodles, fresh made japanese food and steamed snapper. Sushi is a bit dry and betutu duck is just so so. Visually the desserts are so pretty and appealing. The doughnut with dark chocolate is really good. One more think, they serve jamu, and it was good too. Overall a pleasant experience, will be back for sure. The service is great too.

Affordable place to dine, especially with promo Creditcard buy 2 get 2 for 960K. In pandemic they makesure the space not to crowded and many stall are closed. Unfortunately no steak, and not trying satay. The most memorable was sushi and sashimi, although no tuna for today. Should try their Jamu, fresh and delicious. Beside their service at top, the waiters are helpful and quick serve.

Had all-u-can-eat package. Portion served was so small and some meals were even below hotel standard in terms of taste and cooked quality. The meat was hard to chew and pasta was plain. The prawns, desserts and (surprisingly) jamu, however taste good. Staff service was also excellent. Hope these are just temporary pandemic domino effects and overall quality can be improved once the pandemy is over.

Always been our family’s favourite to visit Satoo. Try to re-visit again in the Pandemic situation and it’s all good, they’ve maintain a good health protocol. The buffet stall also serve the food like before. But i think Satoo needs improvement in Pasta stall because the taste is not so good and we’ve never felt satisfied about this stall. One thing that we can’t find in another resto maybe the “Jamu” herb. Which is really good to drink herb after we eat. Also the welcome guest person need to be more trained so they can really enjoy and happy in welcoming us as a guest.

A good place with a good ambience. Very cozy with a garden view. Wide choices of Asian and Western cuisines. Very friendly staffs. Some of the foods from the menu is actually delicious, but some are just okay.. But overall, I like it here..
